After my previous motherboard failed after years 5 years of usage, the time had come to pick a new motherboard.I have done my research for many weeks and finally decided to settle with this motherboard. There are several reasons on why I decided to go with this motherboard.1) Lightning Gen 4 - This motherboard supports the next gen PCIe. When its out and you want to upgrade, you dont have to buy a new motherboard!2) Price - Its hard to beat this price for a x570 motherboard for all the features you are getting.3) M.2 - Supports M.2 for taking your OS speed to a next level and boot up within seconds.4) DDR4 - Lets be honest. The time of DDR3 is almost over. Time to move on to DDR4 which this board supports.5) Customization - This board has something for everyone. Whether you want show it off and add a ton of LEDs to your system, or just settle with the basic needs, this board will suit you. It has all the ports you need to customize your system any way you want.6) BIOS - Comes with built-in profiles for beginners so that they dont have to spend hours trying to research what settings to go with. One tap on a profile (Game Mode, XMP and other profiles) and you are ready to go! Offers overclocking for advanced users that know what they are doing.7) Audio Boost 4 - You gotta hear the quality of sound coming from this chip set. Its amazing!8) Support - Once you open the box, there are directions and guides showing you how to install the board with details. I chose the MSI MPG x570 Gaming Plus because it contained all of the features I was looking for within my budget: An AM4 CPU socket in ATX form factor with PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2, overclocking capability, and two M.2 slots. It even includes a heat spreader for the top M.2 slot that goes with the board's aesthetic, which saved me $20 by buying the M.2 NVMe drive I wanted that didn't come with its own heat spreader versus the one that did. Although I am not currently using a PCI-e 4.0 device, I wanted to have that option for future upgrades, as the PC I built with this is for a media room which we plan to use for video livestreaming in the future. Right now it just runs 4 large displays in our church. We needed to upgrade our old PC that was on its last leg and giving us problems, and I was given a budget. I didn't want to just build a PC that was more up to date than what we had. The price/feature set of this MSI board gave me the opportunity to build a PC that would be upgradeable into the future within that budget. I paired this board with a Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB of DDR4 3600, a 500GB WD Black NVMe, and an RTX 2060. It is a beast of a machine compared to anything I have had the privilege to use before, and with room to upgrade! Thank you MSI!

This is my first MSI motherboad (had two ASUS boards previously) and I'm fairly impressed so far. Flashing the BIOS was really simple. Was able to navigate the BIOS to get my Ryzen 3600 up to 4.2 Ghz and RAM speed up to their rated speed of 3200. I bought this knowing it didn't have built in WiFi or Bluetooth since I already had a network card and bluetooth dongle. Chassis fan hookups on the bottom were not an issue for me, as I bought a case with a built in fan hub.ProsSimple version BIOS is simple, not hard to find your way aroundBoard layout works very well for meHeat sink included for M.2 SSDsConsChassis fan connections on bottom of board could be a problem for someAdvanced version BIOS is easy to get around, but may take a bit to figure out where things areOtherComes with two USB 2.0 hookups. I personally could have used 3 because I'm using one for the cooler and one for the USB ports on the front of the case, but I also have a card reader drive that I was going to put in from my old tower, but can't. I purchased this board and paired it up with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x, EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 ti graphics card, and 16GB of Corsair Vengence RGB RAM, what a beast of a machine.I built the machine for streaming my gameplay and it has not disappointed me. Being able to overclock with a couple clicks of the mouse is just too easy. You can save multiple OC profiles and cater to whatever you’re doing. See screenshot of system overclocked.Installation is a breeze and everything is very well documented which even for experienced builders like myself is very nice to see.I did have to use the support site docs because I was using an existing SSD storage device with Windows 10 that was loaded on an older machine with a BIOS. The new UEFI isn’t compatible with an old BIOS so it caused a no boot to OS condition. A quick settings change and I was in business.The LED config and being able to control any LED device that is connected to the proper ports is very cool. Having all of your lights in sync and controlled in one place makes for a beautiful look.I’d recommend this board to anyone, especially gamers. If you want the best performance then use MSI certified compatible items. They test these items and recommend them so users get the most from their build

MSI X boards are feature rich, have great compatibility and lots of ports, although might be an overkill for low end AM4 CPUs. Good purchase.

6 months ago when I bought this board, it was the best x570 Am4 for the money. It still is. It's hard to say overly positive things about a mobo, because well...it's either compatible with your other components or it isn't. So I'm going to do a weird thing for a 5 star review: nitpick.They should've located a couple fan headers at the front, instead of all at the bottom, makes it hard for shorter fan cables. The chipset heatsink and fan seem adequate, but could've been a little beefier (I've seen some temps I would consider high on the chipset while running benchmarks). The audio is just OK, but I guess that's most mobo's these days. Dragon Center is a God-Awful Nightmare. Sweet Jesus, do not install it, if you don't want to melt your CPU. It ran my Ryzen 3600 at 4.2 OC full-time. I was crashing games constantly. Overheating nonstop. Please, I'm telling you, if you love yourself -- DO NOT INSTALL DRAGON CENTER. Use Ryzen Master and Precision Boost Overclock.Why the five star review? Easily sidestep these minor inconveniences, and pay 40% less than you would for an Asus board with the same features. Buy better fans, don't use their awful software, and tweak a few settings. No big deal, you're a PC builder, right?

I had an i7 6700k and I felt it was time for an upgrade. I was about to buy a 2600x but then found out the 3000 series were coming out soon so I waited. I purchased the 3900x since it rivals the 9900k and along with the CPU I also purchased this board. I like how this board gives me even more overclocking features than my Z170 did. I also downloaded Ryzen Master to adjust on the fly. The way the VRM and the heatsinks are designed helps quite a bit with heat spreading/dissipation. I also mainly bought it because throwing a 12 core in there should still be fine at 145 amps of current or so. And my 3900x has not reached 70 C (With a NZXT Kraken x62) while playing games like Anthem (for testing purposes) Destiny 2, Overwatch, however Cinebench R20 is the only one that heats it up to 76 C clocked at 4.4 GHz. It idles at around 40 C though so I might need to tweak something and do a bit more research. I'm not much of an electronics person so I don't really understand why the 2nd 4 pin power was put next to the 8 pin. Shouldn't the board be able to handle just fine with the 8 pin? Nevertheless, I like this board and has everything I need to get me through my games and workloads. I feel that price to performance is good given that this sits on the lower end of the boards section. I might upgrade the board in the future and keep this one for another lower end Ryzen CPU and use it as a backup or living room PC.

i've been buying asus boards my whole life, the last 15 years of computer builds anyway, since the old AMD socket A chips. this board was bundled with the cpu, and i figured it was a fairly decent price for an x570 board. upon looking into it, the active cooling on the southbridge (or whatever they're calling it these days, superio chip?), and Buildzoid having praised the vrm heatsink quiet readily, let alone the fairly decent vrm itself really sold me on it.the bios was simple to use, and i was delighted to find a search function, something i've never seen in a bios and would have killed for an uncountable number of times. the diagnostic led helped me troubleshoot why i couldn't post (just needed to re-seat the gpu), and i appreciate the giant m.2 heatsink as well. if there's any defining feature of this board, it's ample cooling.the fan headers (other than cpu of course) are all along the bottom, making assembly and cable management simple. right angle sata ports and usb3.0 header also contribute to a clean, tidy case interior, which is good because this thing is jam packed.i'm sure there may be more features i'll want in the future, more than 2 m.2 slots for example, or more than one pci 16x slot (the second is only wired for 8x) for some higher end ssd or m.2 riser. but for now it hits all my needs without pinching any of my pain points.
