Nonthis should be used on drywall for skim coating and repairing cracks. There is mesh tape for cement boards that should be used for cement boards that's much stronger

The mesh tape is 6" wide. The roll holds 75' of tape. This is an excellent product for repairing small holes in drywall up to 3" wide, cracked/shattered areas of plaster or, when layered over traditional 2" mesh, for drywall joints or cracks where there is significant movement.
