The Things lack cohesion
I admire fan fiction and the courage it takes to commit an idea to paper. This continuation of The Thing From Another World lacks the depth and dry humor of the original movie. Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and general poor writing lead to the conclusion there was no proofreading performs or changes to the author`s work was introduced accidentally upon publication to Kindle. The primary gripe is that no single human character can be connected to. The first three quarters of the book trad as a grisly death of each introduced character. By the 20th chapter you stop caring for anyone introduced. And the conclusion seems hurried and abruptly closes the story. In all it was not the best use of a few hours.

The things
Being a fan of the original movie I felt this was an answer to what would have happened had some of the seeds got out. I wanted a better ending as to how the seeds got out by whoever and the government getting them. Still it was a decent book and I enjoyed it. Love the beginning.

Things
I love the art of Dan Brereton! I was hoping for that same talent to show up in this book. I was sadly mistaken. Book had an interesting tale to tell, but found myself plodding through many boring chapters. The last quarter of the book was somewhat better, but definitely could have used a good editor to tighten up, what is really a short story.

A good follow-up to the original story
A good follow-up to the original story. Written in an obviously different style to the original short story, but well worth a read.
