Each card is hand fed into the press. The images are printed on 100 lb Mohawk FSC certified paper. This is truly a labor of love and the design of each card made by the team at Lark is stunning. Each card is blank inside and includes a grey envelope made with recycled paper. Much of the inspiration for Lark's designs comes from the beauty and splendor of natural world. Letterpress printing was the normal form of printing text from its invention by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century up until the 19th century. In the 21st century, letterpress printing is most often used for artistic purposes making cards, broadsides, and many other printed, paper products.
