A wonderful headset
I’ve spent much time researching gaming headsets: reading the many reviews; watching the numerous video reviews, touting how wonderful a certain product is, followed by the comments not exactly corroborating the reviewer’s enthusiastic commentary. I bought one headset based on the adulation thrown down on it by a number of positive reviews only to return them in disgust wishing I’d adhered to the negative feedback. Thankfully, Amazon is wonderful at accepting returns... I’ll be honest; Logitech hadn’t figured highly in my hotlist of gaming headset manufacturers. Don’t get me wrong; I love their products, and I own a superb webcam, mouse and keyboard. It was on the off-chance that I looked at these, based on a friend’s recommendation of his experience of Logitech gaming headsets (he owned a different model, but pointed me in the right direction, thankfully). Satisfied by the praise and largely positive/5 out-of-5 reviews, I took the plunge and purchased these from Amazon. The item arrived much sooner than anticipated (thanks, Amazon!), and I was curious, if not, a little indifferent about what I would expect to find and hear. The packaging and presentation of the headset inspired confidence that what was enclosed was of a high quality. With the contents fully unpacked, it was clear that Logitech had produced something truly exceptional and worth the modest price tag. The headset feels of a very high build quality, definitely surpassing what you’d expect for this price bracket. There are several attachments, and ear pads, accompanied by a nice bag to ferry the headset and said accessories in. The clamping force is reassuring and comfortable, and I didn’t have to worry about the headset slipping off. The headset was very comfortable and I can imagine long gaming sessions not to be marred by a sore cranium. The headset doesn’t have any functional switches on the ear cups, enforcing the desired minimalistic design, other than the inline volume control dial, and mute switch. I find this design very pleasing and it means not having to scramble around with your hands looking to flick a switch, or adjust a dial mounted on an ear cup - this can be so distracting in-game. Now in a state of excitement, but still reserving my judgement, I plugged the headset in to my PlayStation 4 Pro. I didn’t make any adjustments to the audio quality using Logitech’s software, which by the way, offers a myriad of customisation to both sound and mic. The out-of-the-box audio was stunning! I could tell from the off that this headset meant business and I was in for an audible feast. The sound is extremely well balanced, the soundstage vibrant, the bass punchy and present. I played CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered, and the headset breathed a new dimension into the game for me. As cliche as it sounds, I really could hear details not heard before, and I felt I was at an advantage now. I am someone with very high expectations, and I can honestly say that this product meets and surpasses them in many respects. If you’re a little put off by the price, I’d say, take the plunge and invest in a high-quality, worth-every-penny product. I doubt you’ll regret it.

Great quality headphones.
Best headphones I've bought, I usually only had £20 headphones but buying these have made a huge improvement to how I experience sound the games and music. I saw some comments about the mic being a bit mid, though through my own personal experience there is nothing partically bad about the mic, its just extremely sensitive to noise, e.g. it can pick up on you breathing nornally if the mic is too close, let alone intentionally heavy breathing into the mic. The only real downside I could maybe see being annoying is the fact when your speaking you can hear your self a bit through the headset, at first it is a bit weird but given the fact its my 3rd month using these now, its not really something I pay attention to it, it more or so fades into the background. The padding on the ears are very comfortable with the fact I'm able to wear then for long hour gaming sessions. Though comfortability also depends on customers earshape. I also create cinematic music, and its great for distinguishing some of the lowest bass frequencies to some of the heighest. Overall it has great sound range and quality. Even if your not a fab of the mic, the quality of the headphones makes me wabt to recommend this to whoever is looking for amazing sound quality.

Mic problem - and quick fix
Nice headphones, good sound. Headphones worked great out of the box (Windows 11) but, although mic was detected, it refused to work. I'm reasonably tech savvy but dutifully followed the useless AI troubleshooting instructions all to no avail. The headphones worked perfectly, but the mic was completely void of input. Finally I found someone on reddit suggesting I swap the two jacks on the headphones, then swap them back again. I didn't like this as I knew the mic was in the correct socket (it has a bespoke square mould to fit the socket) but, as what was approaching a last resort, I tried it. I put the mic in the aux socket and the aux plug in the mic, then swapped them back to how they should be. Instantly the mic started working and everything is fine. I have no idea how that fixed it, but if anyone else is experiencing microphone problems I suggest trying it! Aside from that they're nice headphones to replace the G432s I have been using for a couple of years and only give them a 4 star because of the mic issue.

Punches way above its price tag
Probably the best headset I have ever used. Really good sound quality from them better than some of the higher profile and more expensive makes like sennheiser / sony. Keep in mind there cost a little bit more than your standard cheap headphones but not a pricey as the dedicated studio type headphones mentioned above. Initially I had problems with the microphone not working and was going to return them. The headphones where that good I decided to keep them. Mic just stared working a day later for no reason but the on off switch was reversed? Mic itself is surprisingly good now it works. Few things to keep in mind. It is a wired headset not wireless. Mic is switched on and off via switch on the wire right beside the volume control. Wire is probably about 2 meters or so in length. Its designed for gaming, but I use it for gaming and video editing and the odd film. Worth the money, even better if its on sale ;)

Fantastic quality. Love the bag and accessories
Incredibly comfortable. I love this headset as I prefer big ear muffs to cover my ear completely and have it close back. I love the detachable mic and all the accessories to pack neatly in the bag. I have had this headset for a long while now and it's still in fantastic condition. Another reason I got this one is that the leather ear muffs looked like great quality snd they are! My older ones used to fray and bits if fake leather used to fall off them but these stay clean and together like real damn leather. My friends say the mic quality is great. I would recommend this one to friends and family

I gave Logitech a second chance after almost 8 years, big mistake...
[This is a post-refund review] I usually write lengthy and detailed reviews about technical products but I feel this can honestly be summed up pretty easily; If you're wanting to upgrade from an existing headset and the PRO-X caught your eye, move on, there are far superior choices on the market. I bought this on the recommendation from others as they seemed to sing it's praises, yet I was met with nothing but disappointment from the moment I opened the box. The product, albeit neatly and securely packaged arrived with probably one of the most uninformative and pathetically diagrammed set-up instruction leaflets I've ever had the misfortune to come across. After eventually figuring out how all the components were to be used and inserted I decided to try out the DTS sound option in Windows 10 which the product came with a license to use it in-built. Trying to get that set up was a nightmare and I never managed to get it to fully function, after downloading DTS: Sound Unbound & the Logitech HUB app both are probably the most bloody useless pieces of crap on the internet, combining almost zero customer support with confusing and over complicated functions which seem to assume that everybody that uses a headset on a PC is a qualified sound engineer with the ability to fine tune and perfectly edit technical functionality. As an avid PC gamer for many years, sound is a very important aspect, advantageous, satisfying and immersive, all features that this product promised until I tested it on games such as Hunt: Showdown, Apex Legends, PUBG, DayZ etc all of which require excellent surround sound and quality to check all the boxes I previously mentioned yet what I got was a tinny, flat and dull sound that quickly began to remind me of cheap bargain bin earphones that you can find at any bog-standard retailer, bare in mind this product is £109.99 RRP. I actually thoroughly tested every setting I could think of in-game, the surround effect is more like listening to mono sound merging occasionally with stereo, no depth, no bass, no sense of height or distance, everything is just right infront of you. After a while I looked into the equaliser settings and attempted to try and find a balance to squeeze some kind of decent quality out of the headset by using the Logitech HUB app which had a number of pre-set options used by E-sports players and commentators, which brings me to a side-point, why the hell would I want to use somebody else's sound set-up, especially one from a tournament background when I'm simply using it for casually listening to music or gaming with friends for a few hours? Not everybody is out to 'compete & defeat' so to speak. Regardless no matter how many times I tweaked it the difference in sound was barely recognisable aside from making it echo or adding so much bass and treble it was uncomfortable to listen to. After a little more research through Tom's Hardware among other specialist websites I found out eventually that you're supposed to set the sound up according to what YOU want it to do, that's fine once again if you're some kind of professional gamer or sound producer but as someone who is looking for a high-quality headset that you can simply plug in and use without having to download bloody apps and spend hours fiddling with equalisers, it simply doesn't make that cut. So, in closing, I decided to go back to Turtle Beach, a manufacturer that I've always had great experiences with and amazing sound quality straight out of the box, aside from their rather flimsy design in some models you'll be hard pressed to find a better sounding product on the market especially with the latest Aero series. I hope that this helps somebody to make an informed decision before they decide to drop over £100 on something that, in my opinion, is quite frankly pathetic

way too dissapointing.
Hello fellow gamers and overall quality seekers. this is an honest review with possible solution regarding 7.1 issues. first for the ones which are having issues with 7.1 surround, firstly u must not activate surround sound from the g hub. if u did so u must uninstall completly and install it again, seek proper tuts on youtube on how to perform a proper uninstall. next, sound settings > disable mono sounds> disable effects, now try to see if there is any differance, if it is not try enable the effects (sometimes this works too on above are the simple steps, now i have nahimic installed and i had complications. for the rest that are having complications u must uninstall all sound drivers and perform a clean installation with windows drivers update off until u fix the problem. not being able to select dts doesnt mean u cant reach 7.1 level. make sure to check under sound output at the config test if you hear equally the sound from all 7 spots. if u hear it properly hold it as is, thats your 7.1. dts is just an affiliate to that option. i hope i could bring a solution with this to anyone who reads, honestly there are millions of tutorials on how this should have work but i could not find the right one for my problem so far. for me it worked but troubleshootibg all audio drivers yet i still cant use the 7.1 dts which it appears that i own it because of the pro x feature.. anyway now for the headset review they look old school and thats it. the silver caps from the head phones are getting dirty easily and they are hard to clean up properly. they are comfortale for the long run id give at least 8.5/10 points Wire, oh the wire.. what a disgrace.. Short wire, it comes with two pairs tho, for phone and for pc.. like it would be any different.. anyway, the pc wire is short. this is an important feature and it lefts me a bad feeling instantly. their software called ghub is amazing for other products but not defined for this pair of headphones at least.. the microphone options are decent and u can tweak it a little bit, giving good results. The sound ones are horrible, the 7.1 is not working from ghub altho it shows as it works but its not. sound adjustments are non viable and it requires a lot of work to be done, the headphone itselfs are not coming with noise reduction and u can hear clearly anything, for this i recommend getting nvidia driver in ghub for noise reduction, feel sorry for non nvidia users lol.. one last thing to mention when you bought this headset you also bought an agreeement contract made between logitech and dts and you should be able to use dts. altho for me and many others this feature doesnt work at all. the sound quality is not how all those reviewers from yt are saying.. i have seen headphones delivering better sound quality with far more affordable price. personally i would not recommand this product to anyone who takes the sound quality serious. the microphone is good enough but far from great and the overall sound, build quality and software support is very low. btw, Blue microphone comes apart with an additional cost of 50+ pounds.
