great tool - came in very handy!
had some automotive repairs I needed to get done (teaching myself to fix everything that goes wrong and do the work myself!) thanks to the internet got some pointers on a repair upcoming that having a swiveling head ratchet would be a huge help. having already purchased multiple tekton socket sets and a small ratchet - checked out reviews of this one and took a chance! used it multiple times getting to and changing out the alternator in our car - the swivel head made it easier/less obnoxious to get to a few areas that would have been a HUGE hassle/near impossible to get to with any sort of regular ratchet. glad we bought it and its added to our tool collection! update: used this a few times now and noticed the ratcheting mechanism seems a bit tight - it was great for getting in at awkward angles and once able to break a bolt found that for loosening the bolt it would just spin back and forth and not actually click through the teeth... causing me to have to remove the socket, reach in and handloosen most bolts which got obnoxious - but thankfully was able to loosen the bolts in the first place which i could not have done easily with a regular ratchet. pulled the wrench out of our toolbox to help my brother work on his van and noticed that the head of the tool had rusted slightly - so shot an e-mail to tekton late sunday night (1AM or so) on 12/6 by the time I woke up monday morning on 12/7 had an e-mail response from customer support - was made aware that this particular ratchet is tight - however he would get a new item in the mail for me that should help me out in the same situation - no questions asked. went by our new house we purchased this week that we've been doing work at (and our new mailing address) and this morning 12/9 the new stubby ratchet (5") was waiting on our doorstep... not even 3 full days from initial contact to customer support. can say I was a bit shocked by that in this day and age. I began buying tekton tools last year after reading all the positive customer service reports from buyers that they do seem to stand by their tools even if quality isn't always best. glad to see they lived up to those expectations when a problem rose up and went above and beyond. if I could add an extra half star on for customer service I would.

Solid and sturdy, swivel is tight, not sloppy
It feels like a high quality tool. Solidly built. Some swivel head ratchets are tough to use because they swivel too easily. This one is firm. It works very well. The only drawback for some might be the thickness of the ratchet head, but it actually lets you get in tighter places where you would need a wobble extension for other ratchets. It was a great deal and so I ordered another one for my brother.

The Ratchets I Grab First, I now Have 3 sets of these Ratchets - One Set for Truck, Home & Tool box.
When you grab the Tool's You Think You Need and Come to figure out the nuts/bolt is in a obstructed area, You Will Be Glad you Grabbed these Swivel Head Ratchets First. With these Ratchets you can Swivel around a Obstacle -While Also Providing Downward Force on the Ratchet to keep it on the bolt/nut. These Ratchets also work as a Nut driver, this way you can spin the nut on as if it is a screw driver until it bottoms out and then Swivel the ratchet and give it the final tightening/torque the nut needs. 90% of the time these Ratchets are the only one's i need to do the Job, there are a few circumstances when I need a longer/shorter handled ratchet or an extension and a universal joint to get the job done but as i stated when you grab these ratchets first they can get around an obstacle while also allowing you to push downward on the nut/bolt to hold it in place, something that many flex head ratchets will not do (there are exceptions). Give these a Try and you will also see you will grab these first just for the Convenience of having Multi angled head ratchet when you need to Get Just The Right Angle to Remove/Tighten a Nut/Bolt while also able to apply downward pressure to the part your working on.. TEKTON is also one of the Friendliest and Easiest to Work With when it comes to a Issue with a Tool, Shout out to Taylor & Colin at TEKTON and also a shout out to the Customer Service agent that answers the Phone (Sorry i do not remember Her Name right off but she is also very helpful and nice) Again i have Pictures but for the Last Year or Two Amazon has not let me Upload Pictures to my Reviews, Keeps Stating This - "Hmm, that didn't work. Click the thumbnail to retry." and i do and even changed the format & size of Picture but to no avail .

Great tool. My new go to 3/8 drive.
Useful as all can be. The swivel allows to clear obstructions with ease, but also to swivel to full vertical for screwdriver-like function, which I used to do with my breaker bar - which of course does not ratchet. I have a few from Tekton now over the years and like them. Good quality.

Great set of ratchets
This is a great set of ratchets for anyone looking for a cheap lifetime warranty tool. Of course with cheap tools usually come some cons, this one is that it is top heavy. All three ratchets are top heavy and not well balanced. The handle is much lighter than the head making it feel like you're holding a hammer. The 1/2 inch is the one you notice the biggest difference while the 1/4 is hardly noticeable. If you look passed the unbalance this is a great affordable tool with a lifetime warranty. The 72tooth/ 5 degree of arc you have to make for it to click is great on the more tight corners. The tool feels reliable in your hand and will get the job done, very nice design and construction.... except for the balance...

Nice ratchet, works well and is durable. Warranty is honored.
I purchased one of these a few years ago and used it quite a bit. I also have a similar Snap-On ratchet that I love using. This Tekton is for home use and has also been a joy to use. Almost as nice and probably sees more abuse than the Snap-On does at work (gets used a lot on rebuilding an old truck). Price wise, its an excellent value. After a lot of abuse, my Tekton ratchet did suffer a failure. It began slipping badly. I feel I got great value out of it however and did not hesitate to order another. Then I thought, I should see about the warranty. I went to Tekton's website, filled out a simple form and a new one is one the way. I'm impressed. My other Tekton tools have had no issues. Recommend!

Works very well, I have various other Tekton tools I like. I used this to change my rear brakes and it came in handy to get it tight spaces. Also put a lot of force on it with nothing breaking.
