A Work in Progress: A Memoir

Now, I usually don’t read memoirs or biographies or anything like that, but I wanted to try this one out because I watch Connor’s YouTube videos. I am so glad I did. Connor’s memoir is so intriguing and fascinating, and I enjoyed reading this book so much. I loved his quirky sense of humor in this book, and I loved reading about how he got to where he is. I read about his childhood, his family, his life crises, and his overall thoughts on life so far, and it was amazing. He had so many inspiring quotes and advice about life, friendship, and the overall look at things. For being so young, he certainly has very wise thoughts on how to take on life. Now, when I got this book, it was Christmas, and I was so excited to read it that I finished it that day in about three hours. I’ve referred to it many times since then, and I always get more out of it every time. I’ve quoted his words many of times with confidence, and I love knowing that I got to know him just a little better since I do still watch his videos every Monday. I recommend this book to everyone. As soon as it was said that Connor was putting out a book, I knew I had to get it and I knew I was going to love it! But I never knew that i was going to love it so much. Life lessons are painted out like a picture from Connor's life. It is so well written that even when I know I should go to bed I want to just keep on reading, So I do.. even when I have to get up at 5 the next day. I am so extremely proud of Connor and his accomplishments and how far he's come, especially considering all he's been through. This book is one of the best, most well thought out books, I have ever read. And as a frantastic fan of Connor I couldn't be more proud. You really get to see deeper into Connor's mind and life. You swim past what he shows in his 5 minute videos and you get to really see him for who he is. A normal person with an extraordinary message to get across. You get to see his relationships painted before you, and through that you see the importance of close true friends, and family. You will get inspired by this book. You will not only read the words, but realize that you can relate to the words that float on the pages of this book. If your reading this trying to decide whether or not to buy this book, let me tell you something, it will be one of the most inspiring books you will ever read. And you will remember the lessons that it teaches. It is worth every penny, and every second you spend reading it. It's truly a work of art. -Jessica Voss

My daughter loves this YouTuber and had to have this book. She said it was really inspirational. She struggles with depression and anxiety. It was nice to see another persons struggles and to see that everything does get better. As a self-proclaimed Connor obsessed fan, I bought his book right when it came out. Connor is an amazing man and i think that this book is just purely amazing. A perfect mix of his childhood, his teen years and his journey to youtube success, A Work in Progress is probably my favourite book ever. It gives fans a view of Connor's life that they have never seen before. It is written so well with depth and a philosophic view, but with comedy and some food for thought as well. The book itself is a work of art and the pictures taken by Connor are truly outstanding. This is definitely a book worth reading and i would recommend it to everyone. Last year, I had the pleasure of meeting Connor and it was the best day of my life. He signed my book and i got a hug as i gave him a clock that i made for him and some cupcakes. Encantador! Uma narrativa tão íntima e suave que faz parecer que estamos conversando frente a frente com o Connor, posso ouvir sua voz em cada frase e reconhecer seu jeito de falar como em cada vídeo seu no youtube. Maravilhoso, me pego sorrindo o tempo todo enquanto leio.

Si bien no es una riqueza literaria, el libro de Connor Franta te brinda una perspectiva actual y sincera sobre el modo en que los jóvenes perciben la vida. Además de animarte a hacer eso que te hace feliz.

Great price

I've been in the Franta fam from the last 3 years and have finally found myself buying the book. As an adolescent, a person who has a lot to discover in life the book has given me hope and an inspirational light towards future. Con has managed to deliver a beautiful masterpiece to which words can't do justice. And being the aesthetic piece of s*** I am (courtesy of the King Franta himself) the photos are so aesthetically pleasing I found myself lost. Indeed a wonderful read.

After reading the book (which I did in two days) I immediately wanted to go outside and do something. While reading it I often had to stop and think before continuing. I think the book was really inspiring and it's undoubtedly my favourite book at the moment. I also really like the pictures all through the book. I would recommend the book for people who are more thoughtful and like to philosophize about life and stuff. :)
