Not all V912's are created equal
This is the bummer that I ran into: there are at least two discretely different heli's being sold as V912, with no way I have found to differentiate when ordering parts. I'm assuming that it's an early model/late model scenario, and further assuming that I own two early models (because these parts are somewhat beefier than the originals.)Some late model parts can be retrofit to work on an early model heli. These cannot, without additional parts, it needs the main gear, bearing and the part that holds the bearing (between the canopy fixings.) (I'm assuming the frame can be drilled, as it's just an access hole, nothing to do with the drive, but it might need one of those too.)Effectively this is more a review of the parts availability situation for this heli, more than for these specific parts, but hey, I ordered these parts for my V912, but when they arrived I couldn't use them to fix my heli... I think that justifies a critical review.
