Suunto Core Strap

The original lasted me a year and a couple months. I purchased this one April 2017 and it's now February 2018 and the band is still intact. There is clear wear around the slot that I normally use but no cracks. The black metal band held up a little better than the original as far as scrapes and losing it's color go. All in all an excellent replacement.

So after a couple of years, my "stock" strap for my Core gave in. Not the strap really but the thing that holds the strap after you buckle. This one has TWO of those on it so if one breaks, you'd have a backup. Nothing too fancy. If you have a Core it's the same strap but with two of the things that hold your strap after buckled AND its blacked out. So it has a cool factor to it. Here's to hoping it gives me another couple of years of use.

Bought this to replace strap on my Suunto Core watch. This strap is to me looks and seems much better material. This seems to be like a solid rubber material. It even feels better on my wrist. I’ll see how I durable it is after a few months.

Got this to replace the orange band on my Core (all black face). So much better than the orange one, the durability of this band is second to none, don't know why ever strayed away from the all black bands that I have on my other Cores' (yes I own more than one). Also seems like they improved the buckle on the band, as well as the rubber the band is made out of, it has more give to it than the original ones. And the way the strap attaches is far superior to the colored bands Suunto makes. If you need a replacement, you know what they say, once you go black you will never....go orange, red, or blue again!

Hubby has worn the same watch daily (to work) for over two years. The band broke recently and this was the closest we could find to match it. Visually, the only difference is this band has two of the loops that you pull the excess band through instead of one. (I suppose this is a positive. :)) Quality seems good, and I will update this review if any component fails down the road.

Factory replacement band was easy to replace worn out band. Same sturdy construction as original band with same comfort feeling. Tried a knock off that only lasted one month.

This is a strap from the manufacturer to replace the exact strap that in my humble opinion should have lasted over a year. I am not alone, in the 365 day strap break phenomenon. It appears that right around 1 year this watch will need its battery replaced and the strap will break. This strap that I just shelled out $40 (including free shipping) cost more then the G-Shock I wore throughout most of my childhood. I can't even recall needing to swap out the battery, definitely never needed a new band. But that is neither here nor there. As far as a review goes. The strap was not cheap. The supplier did mail it promptly, so thank you for that DIP 'N DIVE. If you do require a new strap and plan to swap it out yourself. I would recommend this video----->[...] It's fairly simple swap out the straps however, if it's something you've never done before it's nice to have a point of reference. Overall the strap I purchased appears to be brand new and in one year will most likely break. Why bother? Then answer is simple. I love the watch. I love you too dear stranger.
