Compared to traditional abrasive wheels, this is truly a game changer!It is lasting very well, so far it has lasted the equivalent of probably 20 slim cutting discs and shows no sign of blunting. It could well live up to the '1000 Cuts' printed on the label.I bought this after an abrasive disc exploded, shredding my gloves (thankfully not me) and a bit piercing my face visor (also thankfully not me). I wondered if there was a better alternative.Being a diamond encrusted steel wheel, the chances of it breaking, let alone exploding are slim so it should be much safer. Also, because the diameter does not change as it wears, it maintains the same surface speed and keeps cutting - I guess until it goes blunt. But there's no sign of going blunt yet.They are a lot more expensive than, even good quality discs - but it has more than paid for itself already.Works fine on Mild steel & 304 Stainless. It would probably work on 316 though I've not tried it (yet). Stainless eats abrasive discs very fast. If you need to cut stainless, this is a great option.

A high quality fast cutting disc. Expensive but worth it.

I have been using the disc to cut 0.5mm box profile sheets. It works very well. The best thing is that you always get the full depth of cut, unlike the thin fibre discs which I'm constantly changing. No dust too. Does leave a burr, but easily taken off with a file/flap disc. It cuts best against the edge, bit I have plunged it through 2.5mm box no problem. It's that useful I bought a second one.

I bought this disc to cut through thick steel and some concrete, and honestly, it’s a big step up from traditional cutting discs.The first thing I noticed is that it doesn’t have that nasty burning smell or shower of sparks you usually get with regular discs. That alone makes it much nicer to use, especially for longer cuts.It might be a bit slower on thick steel, but it takes its time in a good way, you get much better control and a smoother cut. It also doesn’t wear down like traditional discs.Yes, it’s more expensive upfront, but I think it balances out over time since it lasts much longer. The biggest advantage for me is safety. There’s a lot less risk of the disc shattering, which gives some peace of mind when using it.Overall, I’d definitely choose this over traditional discs, especially for tougher jobs.
