Bought after a no fault accident which proved on going for months and caused me nothing but stress.This is impeccable, easy to use give crystal clear footage which is easily to grab registration plates from. Can be used as motion detection for security when your car is parked (I haven't tried this feature) The G recording is also important should there be an impact and I am confident this would be a valuable tool in assisting your insurance claim.Also, with no fancy app to download you can simply grab the video (5 minute increments) directly off the SD card. Which I personally think is better should your phone be damaged.

I'm not fond of devices that arrive with inadequate instructions and are fiendishly complicated to set up. This arrived with no instructions but it was so easy to set up and get going just insert SIM card, plug it in and away you go. even adjusting the settings, a nightmare on my previous camera, proved easy and intuitive. So far I'm impressed by the picture quality too. Overall very good value.

Still getting used to my Chortau dashcam but first impressions are very good. It's no £100+ unit but that's not what's it's aiming at.The buttons take some getting used to but become easy to navigate relatively quickly. They take some pressure to press which means you have to unmount the camera from the windscreen for any reasonable amount of usage or menu navigation. Not really too much of a problem.The front lens ring has a chrome effect finish which means it might stand out a little bit to people outside the vehicle. I prefer dashcams to be as covert as possible. The overall camera case does have an ever so slight cheap feel about it, but do take into account I'm used to handling the ddPai, Blackvue and Nextbase. I've not handled any cameras in the £25-£50 range to compare.Image quality during the day is superb as is driving at night in street lit areas. However, really dark scenes do introduce a considerable amount of artefact so it's not what I'd describe as 'night vision' - the screen in particular displays a lot of horrible line artefact in the dark which were a little concerning but didn't show on the actual video files. In any case, the main use of this device isn't to actually watch the screen. I like the fact you can configure the screen to timeout after 'x' number of minutes.I haven't quite figured out the park guard (or whether it's fully working) yet, it seemed to be sporadic in picking up footage. I need to investigate further.Overall, very happy. It does what it needs to and at a fraction of the cost of other brands. Thumbs up from me.

What a brilliant little camera. The first thing I noticed is that display screen is clear and sharp. The recorded images are sharp as well and do record at 1080p. Instructions are in English so you don't need to mess around trying to work out how to change languages. Night vision is OK it's not great or bad but to be honest I have a few dash cams from the expensive ones and in comparison, it is as good as the expensive ones. The other thing to note is that it comes with suction cup for the screen and another to stick to the dashboard.

The product came really quick and was well package. Easy to install and fit into the car. Picture quality and video quality is excellent. Would highly recommended to anyone for a first time buyer for a dash cam. A note to remember is to make sure you have a SD card which is compatible with the device.

I bought this as a speculative purchase because it was relatively inexpensive. It took me around 15 minutes to familiarise myself with the controls, that were adequately explained in the instruction manual, then I installed it in my car using the suction pad provided. I have been astonished at the picture quality. I've set it to record in 5 minute lots on a 32GB SD card. The devise automatically switches on when I open the car and automatically switches off when I lock the car. Great value!

Plugged into 12v outlet and it immediately sparked and no power. one side of the charging kit contacts had "stuck" into the unit and shorted out blowing the 20A fuse under the bonnet.it is impossible to remove the fuse box cover under the bonnet of a ford kugar without special tools. Cost me a visit to a garage and £35 to have the fuse changed!Contacted by Email seller who replied promptly to the first e mail but not heard anything since despite numerous e mail.Anyone purchasing Chortau car products please check supplied car charger as I would suspect they will use the same one for all their products!

This is a great dash cam for the people who don’t want to fork out for a dash cam with a bunch of unnecessary features and want something that will just record the footage from the dash, which this does very well and the auto wake feature is a nice touch to. I would recommend

J'ai opté pour le support à ventouse qui me semble plus sûr. On arrive bien à orienter la caméra. Le branchement se fait grâce au câble USB branché à l'allume-cigare.Pour son utilisation c'est aussi simple, le système marche/arrêt fonctionne bien. La caméra s'allume et s'éteint en même temps que la voiture. Pas besoin de penser à l'allumer ou a l'éteindre. Il faut penser à insérer une carte Micro SD pour enregistrer.Au niveau de la qualité d'image, elle est très correcte, le son est très bien aussi.On peut visualiser les dernières heures. La vidéo est vraiment nette.En résumé, c'est une excellente caméra avec une qualité d'image très correcte pour un prix très intéressant.
