For the price, this kit is nice. The quality is fine and I am getting absolutely no "engine noise" from my system using this kit, and that's one of the most important things to me. Make sure you do a good job attaching the ground wire, that's the one that messes a lot of first time installers up. If you install it on a painted part of the car, it may introduce noise. I always grind down the area I'm mounting the ground to, usually around a seat bolt or something fairly strong so it's a nice solid connection.All the connectors are fine, you will need a crimp tool or a pliers to crimp them. The RCA cables are pretty good quality, and the remote wire is small but works well. Fuse holder is nice, easy to connect and mount. I think the speaker wire is a little small if you are powering a subwoofer, but it works. You can double it up which effectively lowers the gauge by one level (every lower gauge is double the thickness of the previous gauge). This will help reduce resistance which puts less strain on your amp and can result in better sound with less distortion.Anyway, this is a good wiring kit. Price is nice, quality is fine. I'm happy with it.

Ok so let's remember this is a cheap freaking kit. $20 doesn't buy you a good meal these days so please keep this in mind.This kit is not competition grade at all, the wire is CCA meaning the actual core is made of aluminum which as we all know is not as conductive as copper. Aluminum dispels heat quickly and conducts better than standard steel. Aluminum is also not nearly as reactive as copper so over time this will hold up better to corrosion.These are true 4 gauge wires meaning lots of metal little rubber. For the money you will not get a better wire.The speaker wire is good for lower power setups, it is 12 gauge so it isnt for a real 2-3kw system. For 800-1200 watts this will work great. To sum up this note is for people building real systems the 5kw "insert cheap brand" amp you are buying for $120 isnt going to put out 5k more like 800-1200 watts if you're lucky.As for the equipment, the connectors aren't the best but with some work they will do fine. The fuse is 120w if you can blow that with your system you either need to invest more in your wiring or find your short. The rca cables are pretty generic but I've had no distortion issues.To sum up the whole review for people who hate to read. This is a great, phenomenal, wonderful kit for 20-30 bucks. If you are building a single sub kit in your car or just installing a few subs on a lower end amp this kit will do the job with no issues. If you are building a 1-2k dollar system in your car with a good high wattage amp that puts out proven numbers please invest in a real copper kit preferably 0 gauge. My two cents for what they are worth to help those of you confused as to why people are putting 1 star and 5 star reviews, they likely dont care that this is a $20 kit they want to spend 20 and get $200 worth of equipment.

This is not OFC wire. This is CCA wire, copper clad aluminum. OFC stands for oxygen free copper. CCA wire will not handle the amperage OFC wire will. You can pull about 85 amps through this 4 gauge CCA wire. If your amp has a bigger fuse than 85 amps, then you want to make sure you go to zero gauge. That being said the quality of the components is very nice. I didn't care for the fuse block that came with it, I swapped it out for watertight circuit breaker, but that was just my preference. It doesn't come with enough speaker wire to run an entire system, but there is enough speaker wire to run to a sub box. I did not know when I purchased this it was CCA wire. I was in the car audio 20 years ago and you didn't see CCA wire back then. It was all copper. That being said it will do the job I needed to do just fine. I'm running a very modest system, I just added on to the factory radio to get a little bit better sound. I will eventually upgrade to zero gauge copper wire probably during the summer. But the quality of everything is pretty good I can't complain.

Decent quality power wire. For the price. Im sure there is better out there but i just wanted something better for my amp other than the 8 Gauge it came with. I just wish it came with more gear.

Let me start with this amp kit. I ordered this for my car and the amp I'm using wouldn't work with a 1 gage amp so over I'm happy and the kit came with everything I needed for my system and it only took me a few hrs to install it and this product isn't bad at all and holding up pretty good so far and I've bought this for my last vehicle so I'm pleased with this product and I ordered amp kit for my brother's vehicle too and he was pleased with this product and the value of this product is very good and quality of this product is good too. I'm running a 1200 watt rockford fosgate prime amp and one 12" kicker solo bric sub and my brother is running 2 10" kicker subwoofer and 1200 watt amp in his vehicle.

Third time purchasing an InstallGear amp kit for sound system integration. Obviously it's good stuff because I keep coming back. I can't believe how marked up amp kits are in the stores. It's ridiculous. I have gotten compliments from my installers on my finding this good of a kit for the money I paid. The first one I bought went in my 2016 BMW Z4 Sdrive35i M Sport to integrate a 600W JL Audio Amp and 10" JL Audio low profile sub to the factory DIRAC premium audio system via an aftermarket custom harness, second time in a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder I had as a third vehicle in which I swapped the head unit for a Kenwood and added a 300w Kicker sub\amp combo to the factory Bose system (sounded like crap, but for sure not the amp kit's fault, LOL!), and the most recently in a 2007 Lexus GX 470 in which I added a 1000W JBL amp (running RMS at 500w) and a 1000w Infinity Kappa sub integrated into the factory Mark Levinson sound system via an Audio Control LC2i. Not a single issue with any of these installs.

I usually buy Stinger or Rockford Fosgate kits. Took a chance on a Skar 4 gauge kit for about $30 and I was so disappointed with how tiny the power wire was. Seemed more like 8 gauge than 4.I then tried this one and felt more confident that this kit can handle 1000-1200 watts. True 4 gauge and just all around better quality. I would definitely recommend or buy again.

Perfect length. Had lots of slack running the wire from the engine bay battery, through side panels and into the trunk of a 06 Corolla.All of the wire is good quality.Came with every thing needed, even lots of extra speaker wire! Nice kit for only $30 👍
