Easy to solder secure fit
Plug is easy to solder and creates a secure, snug fit. The snap on insulating caps are a nice touch. No heat shrink tubing required.

EXCELLENT Connectors yet VERY Expensive
For the TL;DR crowd:Pros - EC5 + XT90 = BEST CONNECTORS ON THE MARKET HANDS DOWN!!!Cons - SUPER EXPENSIVE! RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE! SIMPLY, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!The ONLY reason I'm not giving these 5 Stars is the PRICE... You can get 10 PAIRS male/female of XT90/XT60/EC5 for the same price. However, these come as OE on all the New Arrma RC's and many Spektrum ESC's so they are becoming a bit more commonplace. What makes these connectors so special is that they're essentially a combination of the BEST parts of EC5 + XT90! So you get the foolproof connection of EC5 w/the high amperage ratings AND you get the easy-to-solder benefits of XT90 w/the back cap to lock it all in! AND no need for the heatshrink. ALSO, keep in mind, these ARE compatible with the standard EC5 connector; the IC5 is just a FAR MORE robust version of them. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone looking for an UPGRADE to EC5 or XT90, I just wish they weren't so OVERPRICED!? As these only cost pennies on the dollar to produce enmasse, once the molds are made. Otherwise, a PHENOMENAL product, far SUPERIOR to any other connectors out there currently. If you can afford them, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

Favorite connector in 25 years of hobbies
Compatible with EC5, but far easier to solder and assemble. Even reusable with minimal effort. Only downside is price.Having used deans for most of my years, these were a welcome change for big-amperage use.EC5 = same connection but terrible to assemblyXT60 = similarly easy to solder, but not as common and exposed solder jointsDeans = still use these, but tabs are smallTraxxas = ok, but still more difficult to solder and assemble. Very similar to EC5.
