Skar Audio SDR 1X8 D2 8in preloaded Kerf ported sub enclosure is a great value. SDR 8in subwoofer is a perfect match for trunk or hatchback install. Quality speaker cabinet with countersunk mounting for sub. Finished carpet is nice . Speaker push terminal is good with up 8-10 guage wire. Impedance is 1ohm at terminal but can be 2-4ohm with different wiring configurations. Box has a small footprint and can easily fit anywhere bass is desired. Custom Kerf port gives that extra thump that helps overall music quality.

If you're searching for a small,powerful,and inexpensive subwoofer package this one will not disappoint.

Impressive little speaker compact size well packaged good quality, i paired this with the taramps bass 400 at 1ohm compatible tuned around 45hz it's so loud I can hear it a few houses away,i might glue my mirrors cause they won't stay in place still 5 stars

For an 8-inch budget subwoofer, it definitely rocks the trunk. I paired it with Taramps' Bass 400 which puts 400 watts into 1 ohm, while the subwoofer is rated at 350 watts RMS. This makes for a great combination since you won't have to worry about over-powering the speaker. The goal was to add some bass to my car's audio, and this surpassed expectation. If you're looking for a loud subwoofer that will turn heads when you drive by, look elsewhere, but it's still loud enough to get you noticed.

Wow! This is only 8 inches:? I am impressed with how hard this thing hits, honestly I had a 12” that didn’t hit this hard. This thing is a beast for the price. IF this sub holds up, the value for the money is unbelievable. I currently have the gain around 40% and that is more than I need personally. I paired with the sub with the Skar RP350.1D amp(which by the way is surprisingly small), this setup should be more than enough for anyone looking for a box and amp that fits very comfortably in the trunk of a subcompact car and wants amazing sound. At 75% radio volume, with all windows closed, from outside the car you can barely hear the sub with the exception of a very little bit of vibration from the license plate holder. But when you open the door and get in the car, my goodness is it loud, I’m impressed. Great job so far SKAR! I reserve the right to change this review in the future, as Skar does have some questionable reviews.

Honestly, I see a lot of hate for Skar Audio. But, some of the line of speakers for Skar are cheap. However, you have to know what you're buying. These are 8 inch woofers wired to 1 ohm. With sw boxes this size and drivers at 8 inches you have to appreciate what these speakers are all about. And what these speakers are all about are high performance at low wattage. So, if you buy these, understand that these speakers are not for 10,000 watt amp. A good example of proper usage of these speakers would be 200 or 300 watt amplifier. Skar's at this level are crazy efficient. Honestly, I bought my wife a record player, I already had a cheap Sony Receiver, and bought these 8" Skar's, and really I am in business. I paired these with some cheap Klipsch bookshelf speakers and they work perfectly. They are still wired at 1ohm. However, these 8" sub are not pulling down major wattage, and the Sony receiver is only 100 watts. But it sounds amazing. And that is the beauty of the Skar's. They are very sensitive and can be over driven. However, using a cheap amp with these can really bring out effectiveness of these speakers. Skar's has really made me a believer.

I installed this single 8" subwoofer enclosure in an Acura TL. I am running it with a NVX VADM1 1 ohm stable subwoofer amp. I can not believe the performance. Even in a sedan, which are somewhat finicky about whether or not the bass will carry through the trunk area into the cabin, the bass from this single, ported 8" is mind-blowing. I am not exaggerating, this thing is a beast. I haven't spent much time evaluating the sound quality, but it seems no worse than other systems I have had, but the output of this sub is clearly impressive. I used to have subs in hatchback cars, and those always seemed the loudest to me, but this sub makes my sedan seem just as loud.... I am a big fan of the VADM1 amps, and have one in my Q60 running 2 Alpine Type-R 10's in a sealed enclosure, and in my Nissan Titan I also have a VADM1 running 2 Alpine Bass Line 8's in sealed enclosures. This Skar single 8" absolutely crushes those subs, running the same amp. Not even close. And, I really like how compact the enclosure is, in the trunk of an average FWD sedan, this single 8" takes up hardly any space, I can even fully access my spare tire and kit without even needing to move the enclosure. And it seems to have the output of 2 sealed 12's.... And the price....icing on the cake!

Bought in 2021 My Car BOUNCES With This. I Have A Planet Audio Amp (2600watt) And With That I Can Make My Car Shake Like Michael J Fox During An Earthquake. Highly Recommend This Sub Update 2023: Been playing around with the gains for quite a while now trying to find out the best way to get the best bass without it going into protection mode. Which isn't the basses fault lol it's mine and I found it. This thing Bangs harder than the police during a raid. With the settings correct it always peak performance while keeping audio quality. If you're on the fence about getting this, just do it! It's sooooo worth it!

Truena durisimo super recomendado es pequeño y pensarías qué esas 8" son pocas pero le gana a varios 12". La calidad es impresionante obvio con un buen amplificador pero truena sabroso es un deleite con este subwoofer no tuve necesidad de tener bocinas rango completo, le deje puro rango medio para la voz y este le da un bajeo sabroso

I am impressed. Now this sub wont win you any competitions, but the little 8” hits. hard. I have it paired with Skars 1200 Watt RMS amp and it rattles my trunk like crazy, i have heard my fair share of subwoofers and i would 100% recommend this if for starting out.

Snappy bass, punchy booms. Loud and clear. Sounds better than a sealed 10. Well rounded, plays nicely with all music. Fits in my convertible trunk. I couldn't be happier.
