Update...I have used this for several weeks now and love it! Even though it was dropped and dented, it puts out very cold air on the lowest setting. I am wondering if those people who say it doesn't cool, are trying to cool a large room with it. It is perfect for a bedroom. Changed my rating from a 2 to a 5.(Original review) My air conditioner arrived yesterday. The box was busted on the bottom and it had three hard plastic straps around it to keep the conditioner from falling out. When I took it out of the box I could tell that it has been dropped.I don't know if it was shipped this way from the manufacturer or if the shippers dropped it. The bottom is dented and the side is warped.The air works great and cools down my 10x10 room on low settings, in fact, it is colder than any I have ever used, but I fear that it won't work for very long since it was obviously dropped hard.When you pay $150+taxes for something new, you expect it to be new, not damaged. If it was shipped this way from the manufacturer than shame on you! I am elderly, and disabled and it is so difficult for me to try and return heavy items. My helper who put it in the window for me was angry that I paid for a damaged air conditioner. 🙁

This AC unit seems to be just great for my bedroom. I have about 120 sq. Ft. And I actually had to turn it down a couple of times during the night. Gets the room nice and chilled when it is still hot outside. For the price, I would buy another for any enclosed room. I don’t know how it would do in a large open floor plan.

Smallest window A/C I could find. Says fits 12" min but I had 12.5" at the very best. I expected to have to get creative and remove the upper pane but no, she dropped right into place. No more portable plumb-it-into-the-window crap for my son's room! Tested and working well. Thanks Danby!!

For the price, I expected a basic, no-frills small window unit, and that's what I got. It's a bit on the noisy side, but it makes my bedroom ice cold so I can't complain. The unit arrived slightly damaged, with some dented fins on the heat exchanger side, even though it appeared to have been carefully packaged. Still, the damage is only cosmetic. The assembly instructions could also be clearer, but it's not that hard to figure out and the only tool needed was a small screwdriver.The box did include one foam strip to stick between the unit and the window, which was a nice extra, but you'll probably still want a foam kit to seal it in tightly. I added the LBG Products Window Air Conditioner Foam Insulation Panels, AC Side Insulating Panel Kit available here on Amazon for some extra insulation.

Cools down my room so quickly and keeps it cold. A little noisy but makes sense for it to be but it ain’t to loud it would bother ya at night. Seems pretty durable so far, but watch out if ya have pets who like to get it. Even thought it’s weighty they can still push their way out. 10/10 would recommend to friends and the fam

The noise level is good it was really easy to install it.... the air flow is really good... and it's good for a little room
