Easy-peasy install! Went on like a giant screen protector 😛 I would recommend installing with a buddy - it's quite large and can be challenging to handle. It completely covers the glass shower wall, after trimming the bottom and side edges. The fit is very nice - only needed to trim a little off. Price was very nice. The texture provides adequate privacy and light penetration, while adding to the aesthetics of my bathroom. Bubble-free... Well, I would say that it is possible to get it on without any bubbles, but mine has a few near the bottom, when they really can't be seen anyway. Has not started peeling up on the edges or anything since I put it up. I would say excellent product at a nice price.

Have a large front door with 12 glass panels. We have a western exposure and the afternoon North Carolina sun is very intense coming through our doors. When we first moved in we noticed that the temp was a LOT higher in our entry way than the rest of the home. We started looking at ways to cut down on the heat as well as the UV rays entering our home. We decided to go with a Gila all season heat control (Gila Platinum Window Film). Listed as "rejects 70% of sun's heat, low-e retains winter heat, blocks glare and reduces fading. We found this to be an excellent solution for heat and glare reduction. There was immediate heat reduction inside our home. The only real problem was it did not provide any type of privacy from those outside looking into our home. With doors as large as ours inside exposure to the street outside was of some concern. Well it is almost 8 years later and we finally decided to try another product. The gila was still working but had developed some "cracks" in the film. Not surprising as it has withstood very intense heat over a long period of time. Started looking for a product with same benefits but with privacy. We did have a glass replacement company come to our home and they said replacing the glass would be a waste of money as we already have low e thermo panes in the door. Said we could change out for privacy (rain glass, etched etc. but would not change the heat coming in). After reseaching diferent brands I decided to give the Velimax Rain glass a try. I liked the way it looked in other pictures and the price was right too. I ordered 3 rolls (enough for my particular project). Product arrived with no damage, nicely packaged and I began the process. Old Gila film was easily removed from my windows. Only left behind a small amount of adhesive in a couple of areas that I had to scrape with a razor blade. Thouroughly cleaned each pane with 50/50 water and white vinegar (which by the way is all I ever use on my windows). Mixed a spray bottle of water with a small amount of dish soap. Got out all supplies I needed and began the measuring, cutting, application process. After I applied the first pane (see pics) I waited 24 hours before starting on the rest. Wanted to be sure it applied firmly .. and didn't curl up or fall off as several other reviewers noted. Still good after 24 hours, I loved how it looked so off I went. I did pre cut all my remaining 11 pieces before I began "hanging" the film. Sizes I needed were 10 x 20 so I cut 12 X 22 to allow for trimming inside the panes. Application went smoothly. I did soak the back of the film and windows with soapy water as instructed. I used the squeegie that I had purchased with the Gila installation kit to apply and smooth out all the air bubbles. I then trimmed the excess using a new blade on my utility knife and a 4" metal putty knife as my edge to hold down the film while making my cuts. This worked perfectly for me and had all windows done in a couple of hours. By far the slowest part for me was the trimming. Just be sure to keep a sharp blade on your utility knife. I have supplied a few pictures to show how the first sheet went up and how it compared to the gila (I did not remove all the gila until after my first test pane). Pictures were taken in daytime and then from outside at night. Then inside and out after all product was installed. Product offers excellent privacy both inside and out. There is no afternoon glare and it does cut down on sunlight coming through. We have had a number of 90 degree days and it seems to do a good job on cutting down the heat. This product is a lot thicker than the gila film. Don't know how it will hold up after years of intense heat; I don't expect anything to last as long as the gila - that performed above and beyond all expectations. If it weren't for the privacy issue I definitely would have replaced the "cracked" gila panes with the same product. Sum up: recommended for ease of application, beauty of product, and especially added privacy. ALso the price is right, won't break the bank even to give it a try.

I absolutely fell in love with this product! When I was living in an apartment on a busy neighborhood, it was super nice having it on my windows to have the privacy specially, since I wasn’t able to put blinds up! It was super easy to install and once I moved out of that apartment it was also really easy to remove and it did not leave any kind of residue or damage to the window. My only issue was I had miss measured my window, so I didn’t have enough product so there was like a small sliver on my window that didn’t have anything on it

Update: We just bought this for a second time to go on a couple of bathroom windows. We did this for two reasons: 1. Those windows looked out onto our deck, so if the blinds weren't closed, you felt like you were on display; 2. The top pane had a defect since we moved in that looked terrible. This product fixed BOTH issues! You wouldn't know the defect was there, unless looking for it and it definitely gives more privacy, while still allowing the light to shine through. It took us only about 20 minutes to do 4 window panes. So excited! Original review: We used this for our glass shower doors because we had terrible hard water spots. No matter how much I cleaned, or with what product, I couldn't get rid of the spots. This rain glass film hides them perfectly. It took both me and my husband but overall was very easy to use. Definitely pleased with the purchase.

We have an all glass stand up shower in the new place that wasn't going to work for us. For reasons of I'm not gonna squeegee it every time to not have water spots, I don't want guests being able to see all our products a curtain used to hide, and down to one bathroom I wanted to help my much more modest spouse be comfortable if we use it at the same time. But I was worried I would be able to install it correctly. So I read a lot of the reviews. And I did what they said and what the instructions said - that soapy water on the glass and on the top/outside of the film after you put it on is a very important step. I wanted to be lazy/less messy and not spray the soapy water on the top while smoothing and that caused it to move around more from the friction. I used a silicone scraper from the kitchen and emptied the Windex bottle to use it for the sprayer. I saved the windex in a cup so I can put it back when done with the soapy water. PRO TIP: If you start seeing suds develop in the soapy water under the film or on top of it, YOU ARE OKAY. They go away when it dries. Here is our before picture, an after after doing the front side, and the view from inside the shower looking out through the film. We were both very very happy with how it came out. **Do what the instructions say and snap off to new razor blade when it starts not cutting cleanly.** ESPECIALLY if you are going to need a seam as we did as the glass door was wider then the roll and had to be seamed in the center. I had a harder time getting the breakaway/snap razor blade to actually snap than I did installing the film (thanks to a heavy duty set of pliers though I was able to eventually get new blade). It is challenging to get the backing to separate from the film, even with the started tab included on the roll, so be patient. I needed to order a 3rd roll to have enough to do the half side and finish but was glad I had not ordered the double or triple roll as having the smaller ones made handling and cutting the film much easier than it would have been with a longer roll. Especially because my pieces needed to be continuous top to bottom. We are very very happy with how it came out and it really added a lot aesthetically I wasn't expecting.

Easy to apply and looks great.

Did not "cling" as expected. Had literally no cling effect without lots of water. Would get down to one end just to have the other start to peel off again once dry. Other than that, simple enough to install and the design looked good.
