Some of the negative reviews here had me concerned. But having just received the filing cabinet, I am certain that it is more than sufficient for the price. The product arrived without marks, dings, scratches, etc. It took me less than 10 minutes to screw the wheels on, and although some complain about the back wheels, they're actually ingeniously designed. This is not going to deter thieves, and sure if you sit on it or something like that it will bend. But if you just use it for basic filing, why would you worry about that? Additionally, hanging files hang inside the drawers without the need for extra components. Very pleased with this purchase

Only assembly is to attach roller casters to bottom. For my application, I took wheels off when I realized that I had a size issue and the bottom of the file is smooth and slid easy. Locks easily. Thin steel but for fifty bucks, what do you want? I bought another one for my wife after this came in and saw it. Black finish so under desk it sort of dissappears. Arrived without a scratch, Styrofoam padding about an inch thick and box is heavy cardboard. If it arrives damaged, the shippers fault, not the manufacturer. Pros: price, drawers have tall sides so you can store stuff in them, not just files. Slides are sturdy. Drawer slides are very sturdy. As you can see I have it loaded and slide open and closed easy and feel very sturdy and solid. Cons: it's light weight steel, but it's cheap so that's not really a con I guess. Otherwise none. Only thing I'd consider doing different is getting one with one file drawer, a thinner center storage drawer and a thicker pencil drawer rather than two file drawers, but that's my choice. Update: Ordered a second one for the Mrs. and it arrived in perfect condition just like the other one. Both boxes were left on porch without a scratch on them.

**Update to below review** I have changed this to 4 stars. I was screwing the wheels on by hand. Once my husband used his drill to screw in the front wheel screws, it was all good. I really like it! **Original review** I just received my Lorell LLR17427 SOHO Mobile Cabinet, Black (copied so everyone knows what item I’m reviewing). It was packaged great, and all parts were there. I don’t leave reviews often, but I felt this was worth it. If nothing else, so that the company might correct the issue for future customers. This item would likely have gotten 5 stars if not for the screws not fitting. That’s kind of a big deal. Prior to buying, I read in another review that they didn’t fit, but have also read “they fit great”, so i gambled. The back screws fit perfectly, and the castors were simple as can be to put on the back. However, the front screws were the same size as the back, and the holes in the cabinet are just too small! (I will not return. I’ll have my husband get smaller screws). As you can see in the photo, I tried to force screw the screw in (without the castor) to widen it so that i would be able to screw the castor on. That wasn’t working, because I could feel as i was putting pressure I was going to strip the screw. That would have done me no good either. I flipped it upward without castors, and it stood sturdy. I opened the drawers. They are nice and smooth. The handles are nice and easy to grab. However, while it locks nice and easy, it only locks the top 2 drawers. Obviously that leaves the bottom file drawer without a lock. Some were curious as to how far the drawer comes out. It is 17” front to back on the inside, and it pulls out 12”, leaving 5” inside. For those of you like me, I took pics to see it. I marked it in red where the back of the drawer is, due to the glare and the angle of my photo. It will absolutely not be a problem. It’s a great feature so as to keep it from tipping, and I will be able to easily get to the files in the back. I’ll just use it without the castors until I get proper screws. There is no point in returning it, as this was the ONLY 3 drawer, on castors, that i could find with both bottom drawers being for files. I want this style of cabinet, so if all others are without castors, I might as well just keep this one without castors until hubby can get correct sized screws. Hope this review helped someone. This file cabinet has 3 drawers. A small one on top for office supplies, tv remotes, charging cords, pens. GLASSES. 2nd and 3rd drawers down are for files. Generously sized drawers and a nice looking little cabinet. In drawer 2 I actually store plastic ware, napkins, lightbulbs for reading lamps etc and have placed cabinet by chair in TV room. 3rd I use for household files. This is a handy cabinet that keeps important things close by as well is reducing clutter. Things are at hand when needed. Cabinet is made of fine quality steel. Comes with lock and key. Might get another one.

Got this super cheap as a warehouse deal. As it was on its way, I read the reviews showing the significant damage to the new items - and saw that my "used-acceptable" item had "major cosmetic damage" to pretty much all areas. I was like, FML!! But when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find only a small scratch on the bottom, and another small dent in one corner. It is fairly light (was actually really surprised by how light!) but still sturdy, I have my laser printer on top. The accessory drawer on top is great for containing home office junk. And the wheels work great, that is the main feature I wanted.

Very nice file cabinet with two large bin drawers and a nice smaller drawer. The middle drawer has a lock. A funny thing happened in its delivery: When I checked on Amazon to see if the file cabinet had been delivered, the tracking read "Package was left inside the residence’s mailbox." I couldn't wait to get out of the house and see a good-sized metal cabinet shoved into my tiny mailbox. But, of course the mailbox was fine and empty. And all is well, the cabinet was delivered less than a half hour later.

I love these so much I ended up buying 4 of them. They come with wheels though I don’t use them. Top drawer is awesome storage for smaller items. I love the look of these very solid cabinets. Worth the money.

the cabinet is perfect, sturdy and easy to assemble. unfortunately the packaging did not survive the journey and I have a decent dent on the side and middle door. even with this, the drawers operate as expected.

Compact design and I love the extra drawer. Very handy. My office space is in my bedroom and there isn't much space and this is a perfect fit. It is well made, drawers slide well and the casters were a simple instal. It was well packed for transport. I am very pleased.
