I work in auto repair shop and I purchased this ...
I work in auto repair shop and I purchased this a month ago and have used it several times. It replaces a Milwaukee M18 drill. I have other IR 12V cordless tools which all use the same battery. At the current sub $100 price for this kit, which includes drill, charger and two batteries, its cheaper than buying two batteries separately. This IR drill is smaller in size but works well.PROS- the smaller size lets you get into to tighter places with enough power to do the job. Was able to drill out broken exhaust manifold studs on a Dodge truck with lifting the motor.CONS - the chuck does not open up enough for bigger normal drill bits (1/2") - Haven't measured, but I would say that 3/8" may be the largest it opens. of course you can get the reduced shank bits if needed.

Do yourself a favor spend another $100 and get the $225 drill this one has no power

Rattling noise
To anybody who has bought one of these drills before. If you shake it around back and forth up and down side to side is it normal to hear what sounds like small pieces rattling around in the chuck.
