Great purchase for a knifr lover.
This is a wonderful case for your knife collection. I would assume you can use it for anything you can fit within the elastic bands, they are very durable and as you can see I even have my cold steel Spartan in there (huge knife). The case on the outside is very nice looking the handle is very durable and seems good quality. I am going to be hanging it on the wall for display. I would definitely recommend to someone with a fairly large knife collection. Only thing I don't like is the spacing for the knifes you cannot utilize all the spaces bc the is not enough room for parallel knives you need a very thin knife to be able to put them right next to each other

Good Looking Highly Functional Storage Case.....But.....
OK! Let's get right to the knitty-gritty of this knife storage case. Will it reasonably hold 40 "REAL" knives? Not on your life! However, it performs very well holding selective knives of various sizes, both folding and fixed blade, if placed in the proper organization to be able to comfortably close the case and zip it up without the knives hitting or rubbing against each other. How do I know this? I'm so glad you asked, because that was my original intent from reading some of the reviews and after receiving the case. I received it within 48 hours of order, well packaged, with the good looking appearance as presented accurately on Amazon.com. Based on reading the reviews, the first order of business was to tighten the couple of screws insuring a secure handle. Allow me to point out two unexpected, 'slightly' disappointing aspects to this storage case. The first being the inside covers are basically red heavy-duty type yet cheap velvet cloth. There is one on the left and one on the right of the case to keep the knives on each side from coming into direct contact. Really, a very minor point in light of the big picture. The second is the design and construction of the elastic slips to place the knives securely. These elastic security slips are NOT individual, but rather one long strip of black elastic woven in and out across each left and right side of the case. The total count of these black elastic security slips is 42, BUT, only utilizing six (6) strips of elastic on each side. The bottom line reason why this is not the most effective design, should you have three knives secured horizontally across one line, you have now used up all possible slack with none left to be able to insert any additional knives. It's simply way too tight. Now, don't freak, because the very simple work around for this is to strategically stagger the knives taking all of the above into consideration and it all works out very well. I knew I needed the larger case, knew what to expect from many of the reviews and was prepared. I have organized my case to contain the following: Left side contains 3 - 8" folding knives, one Gerber 7 3/4" fixed blade knife with solid sheath, a Smith & Wesson sharpener and two heavy-duty 2 1/2" X 5 1/4" nylon folding knife belt cases. The right side contains 1 - 3 ft. piece of para-cord, 1 - 8 1/2" folding knife, 1 - 5 1/2" folding mini-knife, Gerber fixed blade belt clip, 1 - 10" fixed blade knife with sheath, which will also hold the matching folding knife and 1 - 7 1/2" fixed blade boot knife with solid sheath. All of this strategically placed allowing easy opening and closing of the fully zippered case. Completely zipped closed the case is not stretched and a comfortable 1 1/4" think all the way around. Now c'mon, that ain't bad still having some room to spare for about 3 more folding knives. As a result of pre-emptive knowledge from the reviews and description of the product, this Knife Storage Case by United has worked out very well for my circumstances, thus I give it 5 solid Stars. Those reviews are there for a reason and with Amazon.com have been worth their weight in gold, saving me time, surprises and major aggravation. Having shared the above, I highly recommend this product for use as a knife case. Should you have a larger collection, look into a couple of these cases or some larger alternative. This particular product has worked very well for me and I hope this review has give you some good insight, value and benefit.

Knife Collection Organizer
Currently, my collection of folding knives is around 70 at last count. I've been storing my knives in an amazon cardboard box which i began to realize was not the best method of 'keeping" my folding blades. So instead of buying another knife, it was time to put out and spend some money to help me organize my collection. I found these cases (purchased two cases) on Amazon and when i saw that each case could hold 40 blades, in my twisted way of thinking, that meant i could buy ten new folders to fill-up both cases. I was jazzed! But as many of us are aware, whats on paper doesnt always convert to reality. Such is the case with this case! As you may be aware, I do especially like the longer defensive/tactical blades. As i found out, this case can handle (40) SMALL knives. Ok, so with a little analysis, i was able to get 15 knives into each side for a total of 30 blades per binder. And to be honest. The binder is well-put together and holds the blades in place and the binder handle is sturdy and now allows me to cart around the collection in a very efficient manner. Also, no dings, dents or scratches from no longer having to put my knives on top of each other in an amazon shipping box! Only time will tell about the products true durability but it stores the knives securely. The cloth background protects the exterior of the knives and the binder style with handle allows excellent transportation. At this price I will be buying perhaps a couple more which once again in my twisted mind will allow for some new knife purchases down the line.... when it comes to decent folding knives...i am a very sick person...lol If your a collector without a big budget and you want to organize your current collection, you may not get 40 knives in this binder but 30 well-secured knives aint bad either! Very decent product for the money. After a little wear and tear, i'll do an update. By the way, I was able to fit my Cold Steel Voyager XL into the binder. It takes a few spaces but it was stored securely. i'm gonna purchase one or two more of these knife binders!

... couple of days ago and now I am so pleased with the quality/price/value that I am ordering another one ...
I received this case a couple of days ago and now I am so pleased with the quality/price/value that I am ordering another one for more knives that I have. I was immediately impressed with the quality of this case when compared with the price. It seems to me to exceed the price by $20. or more. Of course, I haven't had it long enough to check out its durability, but it feels like it should wear quite well. In any case of this price, one would expect a cheap 'plastic-looking vinyl' but it appears to be (but is not) leather. The handle is substantial and is affixed to the case in a durable manner. This case seems to be set up to hold 42 medium-sized knives, however, many of my knives are of a larger variety and I will ultimately be able to purchase yet another one after the order I place today. Overall, I believe this to be a good investment to any collector that needs either for storage or take their knives to collector shows, etc., Thank you for reading my review and may God Bless! DavidO

Seems like a decent case, if it holds up over time.
This case contains 42 pairs of elastic straps that will hold small-medium size folding knives, but that being said the straps are so close together you will likely only fit half that number safely in this case. The straps seems anchored down decently, but I am worried about the long term durability of them. The felt feels nice and protects the knives well. The bad, is that upon opening the box, the handle to this case was falling off - one of the pins that hold the handle to the case was loose in the shipping box. I was able to screw it back into the handle and make it functional again, but this doesn't inspire confidence and I will only use the case carrying handle sparingly. The zipper also feels chintzy and I think it is also a potential point of failure. The elastic straps also have a hard time holding large or wide knives, such as the ZT 0350. I worry the elastic will simply snap off and break while inserting and removing this knife from the case. Smaller knives fit OK. Good for the price, but only if it manages to last.

Perfect!!!
This was bought for storing my pocket knife collection. I was using a box as many others do until this. If you, like I, have many blades and collect or starting your collection, this is a must have!!! It will fit 40 very small pocket knives (think sog flash 1, no bigger) but for regular pocket knives I was able to fit around 30 one next to another. If I wanted to move the collection and would be moving it a lot, I would spread them to every other spot and on the opposite side I would place the blades in a way that when you close it the interlock but not on top of one another. Ive had this case for a couple months and I keep it on my coffee table or wherever, I leave it open and uncovered and when I want to put it away I zip the case. It has held up nicely and is made well. For the price you wont find a better deal and it is worth it. So if you spent a lot of money on your collection, you can spend the money on this, because I am happy I did!!!

Fits a wide range of pocket knife sizes, great for smaller knives
I like this case because itโs versatile on which sized pocket knives you can fit. A lot of these in the pictures show larger modern knives in them, but my collection is mainly smaller traditional pocket knives and they fit excellent and secure. Fits Case peanut, pen knife, toothpick, etc and other tiny pocket knives in that range without them slipping out. Also will fit medium ones like stockman and larger like a trapper. I like that my old small tiny pen knives fit in here nicely along with the others. Canโt speak to durability too much as it just sits at home and Iโm not moving it around where it would rip or something, so it does what I need. Would buy again.

Reviewing UC1338 which holds 21 of my knives
It's a great bag no doubt. Materials used are not the best ever but not the worst as well. It does the job quite well protecting your knives and keeping them compacted in a decent looking bag. The first question popped up into my mind was how much can this actually hold? And because this depends completely on the knives sizes I couldn't really get a clear answer until I actualy tried it and it carried 21 knives between medium to large folding knives. I also believe that you will never be able to imagine this so I'm providing a product photo to show it in action. The only thing I don't really like about it or hoped for is not having the metal of the handle painted with cheap gold paint. I would recommend painting it in black or keep it as silver steel or even cover it with leather which can help in the overall appearance of the case. But I guess that's just a personal preference. For the money. Don't think twice. Just keep away from the large model. It doesn't carry much more and surprisingly it's made of really really cheap materials and looks ugly.

So Far,So Good
Have read some reviews that indicated problems with quality. Haven't experienced any problems in that regard after a few months of use. Works well for me.
