The reticle is much better than ad shows, Great scope coming from a veteran PCP airgunner
Don't be discouraged by the cluttered reticle shown as an example in the pictures for the ad. it's a legitimate mil dot reticle. Neat stadia line with reasonable sized mil dots. Not giant closely bundled dots. The turret locking system is impressive, unscrew the locks, you can adjust the resistance on the clicks, all the way its smooth, audible and fast, half way (where i like it) is still smooth, but not so fast you'll give extra clicks. very tactile and nice. The Glass is surprisingly good. The Parallax is from 10-12-15-20-25-30-35-50-100++++ LOVE it. i don't care so much about the illumination, but it does work very well. I'm a fan of the scope. Holds zero well. For an airgun this gets the definite go-ahead from me.

Not just a good "budget" scope, This is a GOOD SCOPE!
Arrived when promised with my PRIME membership but that's always the case. Was packaged clever for a scope, wrapped tight to a piece of cardboard and then suspended within another box so that the scope could not make contact with the outside shipping container at all. Scope arrived close to center and was "perfectly" centered within a few minutes. Scope installed to my AR as easy as one could hope for any scope using the included scope rings, was also super easy to level. Cross-hairs are perfectly oriented once leveled. The cross-hairs are perfect as far as thickness without the illumination on and may be considered somewhat thick if using the highest brightness setting on most of the available illumination colors, but not thick enough to make it hard to put the hole wherever you want it. I only used the colors to try them and really have no plans for future use other than to maybe show others that they are available should they wish to use them when shooting my rifle. The brightness is VERY bright on the high setting and I really don't understand the reviews that say the brightness is very low or makes the colors hard to see. I think these reviews do not know how to properly use the product and do not have the brightness adjusted to the high setting. The brightness settings can take the colors from SUPER BRIGHT to BARELY NOTICEABLE, you'll have no problem seeing the illumination on any of the colors if you adjust the brightness correctly, which is done with a button click. The clarity of this scope is OUTSTANDING for a scope of this price, You'll not find ANYTHING clearer OR even AS clear as this scope for this price, Save yourself the time and don't even try. My father and I spent a good hour trying to come up with a BAD thing to say about the picture or clarity of this scope and we could NOT. Even the edges if the picture is GREAT. Zeroing this thing was a freaking dream, honestly one of the easiest scopes I've ever zeroed. I used no bore sight, I centered the scope, installed it level and took to the range. Using bags only this was zeroed to 100 yards in 6 shots. It took 6 shots only because I always do followup shots before making adjustments to make sure there was no shooter error and the shots are consistent. After zeroed I used the locking feature and have since put 1,500 rounds through the rifle with ZERO adjustments, Can still hit a US-quarter at 100 yards dead center. This isn't just a good "budget" scope, this is a GOOD SCOPE!

Budget Scope
Hey, as long as you're not expecting this thing to be equal to that of "better" brands then you're on the right track. That being said, I find the $100-$200 range of scopes to be budget friendly with different assortments of gizmos and do-dads that are enough to get anyone looking to flip that hard earned cash around. This scope is just that, it's a very good quality budget scope. The parralex view nob works great, the picture is clear, the reticle lights up in a barf load of colors you can't begin to guess! I like it, would I trust this glass to put me out past 200 yards? Probably not me personally, however I'm not saying it couldn't. Overall if you're looking for a budget friendly scope that has a good amount of features like the turret and parralex setup, lighted reticle, included picatinny mounts, and lens caps then this is for you. I slapped it on an air rifle and it works marvelousky, used it on other rifle platforms and it performed as expected. Get you one for plinking or sub 200 yard hunting and you'll be just fine.

Terrific value
The only thing I would change about this scope would be to not to have 36 colors in the illumintated reticule, 3 would be more than enough. The scope is well worth 250$ IMO for all that is included, locking turrets 3x12 power, very good clear glass, an all the other things that really add up to terrific value. My favorite thing is the compact size, I put this on a marlin model 60 that was just delivered the day before the scope was. Ya seems silly to have 3x12 on a 22lr, but wow. Since the scope is only 10.3 inchs long it looks great sitting there where as a full size scope would not. I mounted it in a 100mm block type set of 30 mm rings an its rock solid. Quick sightin an right to tackin 4" targets from 50yds to 130yds (couldnt see walkin any further out to set up more targets thru 20 inchs of damn snow - Michigan) Run the scope thru the square drill an walked it up thru elevation drill an it maintain accuracy just same as my S+B full size scopes. Yes I am going to buy another one of these scopes, have a Tavor 5.56 arriving soon an this scope would sit nicely on that little bullpup. Edit Its now 4/29/14 I have had this little gem of a scope on several different rifles, two 22 caliber plinkers, a Tavor 5.56 an the last a Remington R25 243. The scope has been perfect on each an every rifle. Has held zero every time its been moved. The move from the 5.56 to the 243 was strange in that after it was mounted on the 243 the scope was only 1/2 inch off to the right of dead on, on the very first shot at 100 yds. I'm still very happy with this scope, I have bought 2 more to put on my other 22lr plinkers. All told I have shot around 1800 rounds thru rifles with this scope model attached out to a range of 420 yds an the scope has been perfect. I have looked at targets at 500 an 600 yds but at least to me an my eyes the range most useful to me is the 400 yds that limit my self to using this scope.

GREAT SCOPE - Budget Conscious People
This scope was on my WISH LIST for a long time. Finally decided to buy it. I have tried several different ones on my DPMS but the eye relief has always been a problem for me. I read all the reviews I could find on this sight and seemed like a pretty decent buy. I am very impressed with it. Eye relief is at least 3.5" if not closer to 4" which I really like. I bought a single AccuShot Premium 30mm Weaver Style Full Size Integral See-Thru High Profile Mount for a different height and ease of removal. (great by the way) and set the platform up with this unit. Good little mount for this scope although I didn't see anything wrong with the pair it came with, I just preferred the single as I do take my scope on and off quite a bit (switching to red dot) and didn't want to take a chance of bumping one and having the whole thing off. It was initially off by 6" to the right but the ease of adjustment made it a breeze to get it to zero. I think it took me about 15 rounds because I was shooting at 50yd and not the 100yd mark and was a bit off on how many clicks. 8 for an 1" at 50yds in case you needed to know. I removed the scope a few times and each time I put back on. right to zero. I like the parallax adjustment and found its distance calibration to be dead on and gave me a bit more focusing ability. They make a wheel that fits this that is "tacti-cool" but with the size of the knobs, probably not needed. Multi color adjustments on the cross hairs are pretty cool just to mess with but I shoot with the black most of the time. length is just right. I replaced a BARSKA 6-24x50 IR Sniper Scope with this one. Nothing wrong with the Barska, but it was pretty big. This one is about 1"-2" shorter and seemed to fit the rifle better (balance front to back). With the flip up covers and the ring I used, I can flip the front down and rear to the left and I am good to go. Great price, I think you will find this a good value. In fact, I have bought very little, if any, UTG items that aren't quality. Price point is great if your on a budget.

You're missing out if you don't buy this scope!
Scoured the net for a couple weeks looking for a scope for my new AR that would be functional but not something that I'd have to take a loan out to purchase. I came across this UTG 3-12x44 and everything looked too good to be true. I read all reviews and decided it was, at least, worth the try. PROS: SHIPPING: Shipping was SUPER fast and packaging was good quality. QUALITY: Open the package and the scope just felt sturdy. A little heavy, but sturdy. Good quality. MOUNTING: Mounting was just too easy on a picatinny rail. Good quality scope mounts. GLASS: Glass is fantastic. Good, clear optics. RETICLE: Illuminated mil-dot reticle. The "36 color" is a little overkill because the basic Red/Green work fine. It's a nice feature and helps in low light situations...and you choose the brightness....and it's MIL-DOT!! ZERO: My biggest skepticism was if this scope would hold zero. I went out and shot my .223 for a couple of hours. I easily got this thing to zero and was hitting paper targets at 220. yds! I transported the rifle just in the back seat of my truck (I don't have a good rifle case yet) and took it out the next day and it was still perfect...over 200 rounds later. This thing just looks good on this rifle and has given me everything and MORE than I wanted and needed in a scope! I had an ex-Army Ranger want to fire the rifle and asked me what my setup was. I kind of chuckled and told him it's supposed to be a 'low-end' UTG scope. He was extremely surprised. He shot it and loved it. He made a remark that he'd think this was a higher end Leupold if he didn't know any better. The ONLY con's I have is the front optic cover comes off very easily but, from reading some other reviews, a little black electrical tape on the inside will fix that. Only other thing to note (and this would be the case with any variable range scope) is that I have this mounted on a flat top upper and I wasn't able to really get to the charging handle with this scope mounted. Buy yourself a 3/4 in. riser and that problem is resolved. BUY THIS SCOPE!!

Great scope, it is very clear, bright and has all the adjustments you'll need. A value at more than twice the price.
This scope is a great value and high quality performer. The adjustments are fine and easy to use and they lock down so that they stay put. The parallax adjustment is a great feature and every scope should have one. The finish is top grade and the scope looks like it should cost much more. The clarity is very good and during dusk hours, it is bright. There is an adjustment for the reticle focus so if it appears a bit fuzzy out of the box, simply adjust it and you can get it crystal clear. I wish I had bought the large parallax adjuster wheel because it would make using that feature very easy. As it is, it isn't difficult but when ranging it would be far easier to just reach up and spin the larger wheel. The mounts provided are good, nothing special but you can remove the scope and put it back on and it retains zero so no complaints there. The lighted reticle is very nice. One thing about it though, when you put in the battery it is a very tight fit and you're not sure if you should use only one battery or both which are provided. Use only one battery and you'll have to really fiddle with it to get the battery in and be able to screw on the cap. Once done though, it works perfectly. You do not need to use the battery operated lighting feature, the sharp black mil dot reticle works without it. Being a compact scope, you aren't going to get the light gathering capabilities of a Ziess or something like that but you can't beat the price, quality/value and features for even close to what you pay for this one.

Great overkill scope for Crosman M4-177 Pellet Rifle
I've had the UTG 30mm 3-12x44 scope for about 5 days now, took several pellets and adjustments to get zero mark. Since then I'm hitting about 5 crosman destroyer pellets within a 1.5" circle at 30 feet with 4 pumps on the crosman m4-177. The zoom is great and eyes are no longer tired of looking down a tiny scope, I had tried a 4x32 scope also found here on amazon, it had great reviews but kept causing my right eye really bad fatigue. I couldn't see right for about 30 minutes after shooting. I went to the store to see what a x44 scope looks like and they are huge! The guy there told me it was ridiculus to put anything this size on a pellet gun... Man am I glad I didn't listen to him! The UTG looks much better in person than online, also, the glass is very clear even at around 8X which is where i'm using it for targets at 30 feet. The illuminated cross hairs look so coooool. They make the m4-177 look so real. It's not ridiculously huge on the gun either, it definitely adds some weight, but just makes the gun feel so much better. I'm at about 3" eye relief. My brother and I took about 20 pellets to zero in and when we were done, he just had to have one. We got his in the mail today and he's mounted it, he went and returned his other gun and got a M4-177 like mine since it just looks sweet! In the last 5 days we've pumped a lot of air into the M4-177 and the scope has had no issues holding zero...oh it definitely helps that you can lock in the settings and all adjustments are made without tools. Get a 1" riser for this though, so you can still leave on the manual sights which look cool too. This is my first scope and it was a great choice, for a beginner to get a scope zero'd in with 20 pellets and a bb/pellet gun and have it hold zero so I can hit the target within 30' and group 1.5" for 5 days...I highly recommend this scope.
