I needed this for 10awg solar panel cables and the 1/2 inch worked well. I was able to get two 10awg cables in one sleeve with the connectors staggered without any trouble. They can expand to 2 or 3 time the size as you push them on. I used fabric harness tape on the ends to keep it in place and from fraying. Durably is to be determined but they definitely work well for organizing cables.

Good but watch out for any stray heat like if you are heating up some heat shrink.

great quality materials, I fit 2, 10awg solar cables through this with a little wiggle room. hold the cables in place great. cut with scissors or hot knife, the use a lighter or butane torch to seal the threads. im not sure but id say 8awg would be compatible with this particular sleeve, be a tighter fit but Id say it'll work. unless your wiring is sliding around and rubbing on any surfaces this sleeve should be plenty strong enough to protect your cables/wires. thickness is very good, not to difficult to cut but whatever you use you definitely want it sharp! happy with this purchase and hopefully it'll last for yrs to come!!

Good quality wrap. Used in a heavy equipment application and it looks nice and feels like it will hold up. If you’ve never worked with this stuff before, be aware that anytime you cut it (make sure you have some good sharp scissors) it will try to fray apart immediately. You’ll need heat shrink tubing, electrical tape, or something of the like to secure the end. Heat shrink produces a great finished look.

Works perfectly, used on some SHCA 1/0 ofc wire got 1/2. Burnt a bit out if it but that was on me. Definitely recommend

Looks good, and you can tighten the fit with a little heat from a heat gun..

This stuff is possibly the best way to cover bundles of electrical wire or anything that still has at least one end available to push it on to. I love this stuff. It takes a few moment to get the hang of using it but once that is figured out it almost flows over the wires or cables that you are using it on. I used to to cover and protect a wiring harness for a skid steer I was re-wiring. It is not as tough as the hard plastic split wire loom stuff but it serve my purposes perfectly. Highly recommended.

I used it for microphone cable to provide additional insulation and strength to an XLR cable. The sleeve enables the cable to also keep its coil and twist that ultimately improves the life and performance of the cable. Ive used it with cables of both 5 and 10m long. The longer the cable the more benefit the sleeve gives to it. Mine was used with Van Damme XKE terminated with either high quality Neutrik or Nanotech connectors.

After reading an article in Fine Woodworking Magazine where the author had used this exact product to reduce damage to his vacuum hoses. I decided to give it a try. It works better than I could have hoped. The hoses it covers are from an old Kirby Vac and a Nilfisk vac. There is no significant catching on the back edge of track saw tracks and with a small nylon plate I had made up there is zero catching. I also use this on a dedicated Hegner finger joint machine. I believe the only reason this is not fitted to all industrial hoses is that it would limit the sale of spare parts hoses. All the best.
