DonJoy Legend SE-4 Knee Brace - ACL Knee Brace - Left - Medium

Bought the right knee version after ACL surgery 7 years ago for skiing 6 months after ACL replacement. Tore the left ACL 40 years ago in high school and never got it repaired (back then they couldn't replace it). Skied with a cheaper brace on my left knee for years and felt a little pain. Decided to use the ACL brace on my left knee and it worked great. Full support and no pain while skiing. This is not their brace made specifically for skiing, but it was less expensive and worked fine. One downside is when your knees are together skiing the brace bumps the inside of the opposite knee. That might be a reason to buy the brace made specifically for skiing that might be designed to address that issue. I plan to use this brace for the occassional basketball or touch football game as well. I highly recomend this brace for anyone with ACL problems. It works significantly better than the braces with metal hinges you can by at sporting goods stores.

I am an offensive lineman in semi-pro football, I have played football from little league to high school, junior college and now semi pro. Playing the center position, I play in the deepest part of the trenches, knee support is imparitive. Ive bought many cheaper brands, but none have compared to donjoy. I bought two of these, one for my right and the other for my left (yes they are extremely pricey, but well worth it for what I do). Football is a very brutal sport and over the years can take a toll on your knees and ankles, lineman in particular. If you play football and are a lineman or if you are just looking for ACL knee support, invest in this knee brace. It is sturdy and feels like it can resist alot of pressure Beware, the straps for the brace can run a little long, take that into account when purchasing.

I have no ACL at all in one knee. I have recently become very active. I bought this brace to buy me some time until I can get around to getting a new custom brace. Let's just say, I am no longer in any hurry. This brace fits like a glove. It allows my knee to bend the way it should and keeps it from bending in ways it should not. My leg feels secure. The brace does not slip. It is also very comfortable and not restrictive. There are also no straps behind my knee to irritate the skin behind the joint. I especially like the hinge design. My old brace had one hinge point on each side. This brace has two making it bend more like my knee does. I always thought this would be a better way to make the hinge. Now that I have experienced it, I know it is. Thank you Donjoy and thank you Amazon.

I have purchased several knee braces over the last month. All have failed to do what I needed. This knee brace was the exception. 12 hours of work including climbing stairs and carrying 3 gallons of water. I was amazed at how much difference this brace made. It didn't solve the problem but sure did make it a lot less of an issue. Don't worry about the cost ... it is more than worth it. Thank you donjoy for making this available to us on Amazon. This brace is almost perfect... just needs slight improvement on some sharp edges. I minimized the irritating edge with added Velcro in the offending areas. Also the bottom portion seemed a bit loose. The straps were great except for the bottom strap. Almost got it ... but it is slightly long with not enough to attach correctly. Even with all of that... hands down the best Forrest Gump brace I have been able to find. Skinny those plastics a bit donjoy and no one would even know if us users of it had a brace on. Most of the people I work with didn't notice it.. until I sat down. Users if you are descreet about where you park your tail... well most likely no one will even see it on you. Full pants needed.. no spray on jeans, cause that won't work. Finally, of course you have to wear loose fitting pants or a long dress for the ladies to keep it out of sight on the job or out on the town. The limp I had is much less visible... I almost stride with a extra confident looking walk. I won't be speed walking in this but definitely can do more than I was able too with the standard knee sleeve or reinforced knee brace with plastic on either side of it. Walgreens sales those last ones mentioned. Don't waste your time on cheap. Even $40 is still cheap when you are dealing with knee, ligament, or other joint issues in the leg. So do I recommend that you spend $300... well I did. Best investment in my wellbeing I have made. Now maybe I can heal up and cast off this brace but if not ... I will get another when this one can't be fixed. Enjoying life with less knee pain thanks again Donjoy.

I have tiny calf and normal size thigh. Small Fits greatly the calf but tight at the thigh due to the “C-curve” of this top brace, that being said it is comfortable & stabilization is great at the knee. Brace stays up much better with the DonJoy knee sleeve. Measure your leg & order correct size—thigh size is most important.

Extremely useful and stable knee brace, it made my knee very stable and I walk very smooth now. Combined with my insightful AFO + foot drop flexor. I restored my regular daily walking. I fully advise this brace, I am having all my 4 ligaments completely torn and I have no issues walking with this brace. If it can stable my walking on this condition, it would stable any other severe ligaments injury.

I can’t say enough good things about this knee brace. I injured my PCL 2 weeks before I was supposed to go on a bull elk hunt in Nevada back country. I could barely go up stairs and couldn’t put pressure on my injured leg. I received the brace quickly from this company and put it on. The difference was Night and Day! I felt like my leg was no longer injured. I harvested a large elk on very steep mountains, it took 3 people 12 hrs to pack that animal off the mountain carrying an average of 100 lbs worth of gear and meat on our backs and my knee had no trouble what so ever. Do yourself the big favor and go with this brace. It’s well worth the price tag and then some.
