Schluter Ditra heat is a great product and you can't beat the price.

I wish I had taken a picture before I laid the tile. My bathroom reno was my first experience with Schluter products and found them to be excellent. This membrane cut and went down easily. The heating wire I purchased from Home Depot wrapped easily around the nubs and held tightly. Purchasing from here was definitely a great deal.

A must have for heating cable installation

This was fairly straight forward to install, and does a great job of holding the wire, while reducing the overall thickness of the installation, and it makes it a breeze to install the cable. It's a bit pricey, but for the work it saves and the ease of installation, I'd buy it again. A few notes from my experience: This was specifically designed to use with Schluter's own cable. I didn't use that. I used a different companies that was a lot cheaper (cost, hopefully not quality!). That cable didn't fit perfectly snug, but still fit well. To compensate, I ran the cable shorter distances before turning back and using the turns to keep the cable in place. Schluter has very specific instructions for installation, they can be found at their website, and also are very awesome to talk to if needed. This was my first time using a Ditra product, and filling in the waffles (or pegs in this case) while tiling over proved difficult for me. I ended up doing this in two parts, first I leveled over the membrane, filling in well between the posts, then a second layer of mortar to attach the tiles. That turned out really well.

Very easy to handle and install.

I needed a few extra membrane pieces for the floor heating kit I bought and these were perfect. OEM not bootlegs and matched up perfectly with the rest of the kit.
