I got these to mostly protect my computer's USB-3's port connector's. If I'm going to wear out a USP connector, I'd rather wear out/replace these little guys than fix my expensive computer USB-3s. Capice? As far as that goes, it's just another variation of short USB cables (for the same purpose). Both work. And I noticed that these connectors fit very snugly into the 5-year old computer's ports. That's also good.

These work! Have a few similar from other vendors that do not, due to sloppy mfg tolerances on the contacts. Would buy again.

I’ve bought a couple sets already. Used it on a deep USB slot for a special windows tablet. Works without fail.

Four is too much but you never know if one fails though. I bought them because I need to for my wireless receiver keyboard which is on one of my smart Tv. That very handy fit sure as my receiver is tiny and it is hard to take it off from Tv’s usb connector.

Because this device is an intermediate connector, I like that it is made of hard plastic. Getting four units for this price is great. It is nice to have a few extras on standby.

I have installed all four couplers - 2 on the USB ports of my desktop and one each on the USB cables of my two Samsung external drives. All have worked perfectly. I purchased them to save wear and tear on my USB ports and USB cables. I cannot speak to durability since I have only had them for a short while. I would not hesitate to buy them again if the need arises.

Seems to be of decent manufacture and these extension "dongles" seem to work decently. If you're planning to use this as a short extension be aware that the USB female portion is flipped. That is, if you plug it into a lap top the orientation will be opposite of the way you'd normally connect your cable. Depending on your cable arrangement this may place some torsion stress at your connection points. In other instances, it may not make a difference to you.

I use these couplers for electronic equipment that has an attached, non-removable USB cord that is in frequent use on multiple computers. The potential for wear and decreased data transmission from continuous in and out insertion could render a expensive item faulty or inoperative. So...use these on portable equipment to protect the original USB male coupler, and protect your computer by using a short USB extension cord that stays plugged into your laptop or desktop computer so the ports on your equipment remain undamaged from in and out as mentioned above. CHEAP INSURANCE!!!!

Good if the male end doesn't stay in the comps female end. Haas helped me get a few things to stay plugged in.

put in the usb slot and insert your usb cable and only remove the cable so that it doesn't wear out the USB slot of your PC> replacing your pc slot is more expensive than replacing this add on. Works quite well. When removing your cable out, make sur to hold down the add on with your nail and with very little resistance. so as to not wiggle or force the add on.sideways.
