Love it lots, but a modification would make me adore it!
My nails are a force of nature; I've been styling them into razor-like points since 1990 or so (and NOT, btw, that "pointed nail" alleged trend that's been, like, (allegedly) trendy, of late). For the record, that whole "filing" thing weakens the little daggers (so does wearing nail varnish), so I've always used these other gigantic toenail clippers from Revlon. This here pair of clippers ROCKS for two reasons:1) it has a STRAIGHT cutting side, which is pretty rare in my life. (I've never seen another pair in real life, actually.)2) It's well-made and just weighty enough to feel "quality" and "won't fall apart" without being too too unwieldy (my hands often swell from typing too much and trying to be a DIY house-fixing guru). Remember, this item is trying to pack two functions/options into one instrument, and they've--for the most part--done a good job designing it.BUT, check this out... the latter reason of rockingness is, quite tragically, a double-edged sword (or fingernail, hehe), coz the embossed grip-helpingness pattern is on the wrong side to help one grip the instrument. In other words, while it's well-designed, it's pretty hard to grasp such a difficult and inherently ungainly shape due to the SMOOTHNESS of the grasping lever thing (the one that one's thumb would be pressing).I'm certain it's a mistake, that they meant the pattern to be on the thumb side of each clipper. Because, like... why would that criss-cross pattern be where it is (in the inside)? Will post photos soon, God willing. All in all, it's pretty highly recommended--as long as you understand about that lever thing.(I still would have gotten it even knowing that, btw. If it annoys me enough I might wrap it in tape or make a rubberised grip...)

Perfect square nails
The straight end has helped me cut my nails perfectly straight - on my first attempt. Zero learning curve. Love it...The other end is a curved end. A YouTube video "Shape Your Nails Perfectly Square!" by cutepolish that shows how to use it.

Not curved cutting area
The edge is flat. From photo, it looked curved. Means lots of small cuts exposing nail to splitting more.I have a 20 year old Revlon toenail snip and was trying to buy a second for my son. Makes this just an average product.Revlon had always made good and lasting products. Wish description would have been better.

Great quality, great product
Before I bought it, I read the mixed reviews. My experience was better. I found it solid and it cut crisply, from both settings. Yes, it would have made more sense to put the cross hatchings on the side of the levers where your fingers go for better grip, but it still works better than the vast majority of other clippers I've used.

Sturdy, sharp
Sturdy, sharp, compact nail clippers that do a great job on my nails. I was specifically looking for something travel sized to take care of broken nails at work. This is nice and heavy. It -would- make more sense for the cross hatching to be on the other side of the lever, but hey.

Love these!
It seems silly to be overly excited over nail clippers, but these are great! You can cut for square tips or oval. They are strong.

Perfect square shape for fingernails
My fav. I’ve bought it before couldn’t find it In stores anymore. Perfect for the fingernails to give that square shape when doing a mani.

Four Stars
Everything is good, but for me kind of small. I prefer big one.
