I am low in Calcium and along with Calcium tablets my doctor wrote me a monthly prescription for exactly this dose of vitamin D3. It got pricey paying my copay each month and then I found these Sundown Naturals Vitamin D3 1000 IU, 400 Softgels. How perfect for me. For a minimal price I get over a years worth. I take one per day. The softgels are very small thus very easy to take. Also often with softgels I find however I store them they stick together in the bottle and these do not. Great price and product. Highly recommend.

What can you say about something as basic as vitamins? Well, several things. Most Vitamin D supplements that I found were 2000 IU or more, while the US RDA is 400-800 IU, though some studies suggest a higher amount. I want enough that my doctor isn't concerned, but not too much, as there is also a connection between Vitamin D and kidney stones, so this was the right answer. Remember that sometimes more isn't better--you want the amount that is right for you. I've been pleased with the bottle that this uses. It has a nice pop-open top, with is incredibly simple and fast. If you have any humidity at all, the caplets will stick together, but a good tap of the bottle will loosen some, so that has never been a problem (that's an issue with any softgel capsule).

Is it good product and I think highly of it but 200 is far too few in a package I typically buy 500 or more at a time

Great price and a necessity for people who work indoors or don’t get much sun. I’m older and don't want anymore sun damage so I take these daily. Small and no after taste.

I wanted a D3 supplement that had a high absorption rate, so I could better judge how much was actually getting delivered into my system. The average human body can only process 1000iu of vitamin D in a day. This delivers about a 60% absorption rate, if taken right. So by taking 2 per day, I get just over the 1000iu that I was shooting for. This is the "budget priced" supplement you see in most drug stores, but it's actually very high quality! And on the Labdoor reviews (the best site on the internet for reviewing vitamins and supplements), it ranked among the highest in quality and value. I'm on my 2nd bottle and can tell a big noticeable difference in several areas of my body and well-being since taking these! Will buy again, for sure!

Considering the evidence that Vitamin D3 helps us battle virus infections, including the dreaded Covid-19 virus, taking supplements like this makes sense to me. Since I have neither the laboratory facilities nor skills to analyze the contents of these softgels, I can only report that I continue to remain healthy while faithfully taking these among other supplements. I can easily swallow these small softgels whole and experience no unpleasant aftertaste. Unlike other D3 softgels that I've used, these do not stick together, making them much easier to dispense without having to rap or shake the container to separate them. When I need an additional supply, this will be my preferred brand.
