Perfect first power train set for kids!!
This is the number 1 thing my train crazy son wanted Santa to bring him for Christmas this year and it didn't disappoint! It's very cute, easy to use and easy to assemble. It works great with the track tiles that are fun to use to make it do certain things when it passes over them like stop to fuel up, whistle, go in reverse etc. It works great with the previous DUPLO train set he got last year, but has so many more features like push to go and control with the optional app! The app is way fun because it opens up so many more possibilities for play and sounds and imagination! It's very simple and intuitive to use and took seconds to pair the train to the app. If I had to pick a top toy that I would recommend for young kids that would literally please them all regardless of gender or interests, it would be this train! SO cute, very well made and thought out and hours of fun! You'll definitely want to buy some more track though to make a bigger layout. We have the inclines which really adds a lot of fun. Also, we figured out that you can use regular DUPLO blocks which stick on the underside of the track to make an elevated train which is VERY fun for the kiddos! See pics. These LEGO DUPLO trains are serious the best and they've really stepped their game up with the new features and functionality of this one in particular! I can't recommend it enough! Worth every penny! And yes, I paid full price for it. Er, Santa did. :)
