The Zandians have taken back their planet. Now they need brides. All human females have been assigned to mates. Yes, mates, multiple. I've been given to three handsome males--cousins. Huge, purple, and horned, they act like they want to eat me for breakfast. After what I've been through with previous slave masters, I don't know how I'll survive this. But I have to. It's adapt or be sent off-planet, which would mean my death, considering I'm wanted for murder. My mates cannot find out I'm not able to reproduce. I need to keep my secret, figure out a way to survive, stay focused. But when the Zandian warriors claim me, they make me forget my past and scream with pleasure. I can't let myself fall for them. If they learn my secret, I'll lose more than my life. I'll lose my heart. Review: Holy hotness! One former human slave, three Zandian warriors, and a world destroyed. I BELONG TO YOU THREE—TARREN, RONAN, AND JAX
Whether you have read any of the books in this series or not, you will be able to follow the tale, which will read as a stand-alone. The story is the next chapter in the Zandians now that they have taken back their planet, King Zander is on the throne, and a decree has been made that due to the lack of females, it will become two to five males to claim one female and procreate. Also, those who become a unit will be granted land to homestead and farm. Tarren was stitched up by Riya after the battle reclaiming Zandia, but he also saw how she was risking herself, pulling in the injured to care for them. Now he can’t get this human out of his mind and brings her to the attention of his two cousins, Ronan and Jax. Will they agree with him that Riya is be their shared mate? For Riya, it is a combination of “vulnerability—desire—fear.” “It appears,” Jax says, his voice collected, “the three of us are going to share, one mate. A human. From what the king just announced, it sounds like Zandians can apply as a team, which must include a female, to receive a homestead here. Hot Zandian star!” “She’s fierce. And the way she lifted her chin when I threatened to warm her a*s for leaving the safety of the downed ship was adorable. A little warrior exists behind that alluring peachy flesh of hers.” “I never thought I’d be lucky enough to get a mate.” Ronan shrugs. “I don’t mind. I share everything with you two, anyway. Why not our future?” Tarren, Ronan, and Jax decide they can’t allow someone else to decide their fate and possibly lose Riya to another team of Zandian males. So they decide to take matters into their own hands, going to her, and showing her around, then seducing her until she is ready to accept their claiming, their crystals, and complete the mating. “We don’t wish to terrorize you.” Thank the one true Zandian star for my cousins, who step in to soothe her. “We’re going to help you get over your past.” The story will have King Zander agreeing to their mating and issue them a homestead, complete with Dome, and provisions to start working their land, which includes all kinds of seeds. Riya proves to be valuable when it comes to agricultural issues, but also the use of herbs and other items in nature to create healing salves, and medicines. Not only that, but she has a brilliant mind and is learning, something she never could do as a prisoner. But what happens when the other human females are becoming pregnant, and Riya isn’t? Her mates are not overly concerned, but then again, she has kept part of her medical past a secret from them. Before they can learn the truth and turn away from her, she will leave them. Zandians do not lie, and they abhor liars, and she has not been truthful with them. Will King Zander banish her from the planet, returning her to a death sentence? Are her mates through with her and willing to allow her to walk away or will they decide to fight for her no matter what? The story has so many emotions, desires, and intense sexual chemistry with the relationship between these four. It is erotic with explicit sex scenes, punishments, discipline, and ménage scenes, including exhibition and voyeurism. One human female and three viral dominant Zandian males that are insatiable. The story does have a happy conclusion for an ending.

Enjoyed, but doubt I'd reread it.
Yes, this book included some alien DD, but not in an offensive way, ironically, as I normally hate, loathe and despise DD. While some of the kink (all consensual) went a bit over anything I'd tolerate, it wasn't more than the female MC would, and I don't expect everyone to be like me. I wouldn't say it went into the zone that would make me think they all needed therapy, if you get what I'm saying. I thought it was a fun read. I liked that there was some understandable differences in worldview between the characters, and that not too much time was wasted before the male MC's came around. I put emphasis on the guys because they're the ones who had more power in the social dynamic of their society. This author is a hit or miss with me. I did enjoy this book, enough that I looked into the series it's spun off of. But having read some of the reviews on them, I'm not sure if I will, and that contributed to my rating here not being higher. Some of the other books apparently had a lot of mentally weak women and male alphaholes. Ugh. I hate that combo. Kink is great, but let's keep some self and mutual respect in our romances, please!

I love the Zandian guys
WOW, you did it again. Once again, you made me cry. This is why the series is so good. If you dont know about Riya, let me refresh. Riya was a slave. She was rescued and brought along with other slaves from everywhere to Zandia. She is close friends with Lily. She doesn't believe she is worthy of any Zandian male. She can't have children due to the abuse she suffered. When Zandia is finally freed, the King decrees that there will be changes. That since there are so few human females, Zandian's can have more than one mate. They want to repopulate the planet. Strength. Jax, Tarren, & Ronan are cousins. Tarren meets Riya when she is helping in medical due to an injury suffered through the war. He wants her for his mate, as do his cousins. When the decree comes out, they will not allow any other to have her. She is mated to them and they all move to improve and repopulate. Nevertheless, you already know what's coming. I felt so heartsick for Riya. She kept the secret for so long. She told one person only. But her drive to find a way to make her worth more to her mates was so sad. They loved her for her but she couldn't see beyond that she could not give them a child. Jax, Tarren & Ronan just adored her and always wanted to be around her. They took pride in all that she was able to bring to their new world. However, the fact that they didn't know that one thing was worse. It tore me apart reading it. Zandian's do not lie. Knowing that it was eating her up. Then what happens after, UGH. Can you say water works? Now we are getting more. I can’t wait for “Bought by the Zandians.”

this book made me nerd out like crazy! The Zandians have won back their planet ...
It may seem unexpected, but as an anthropologist/social theorist, this book made me nerd out like crazy! The Zandians have won back their planet and are now on a mission to repopulate and rehabilitate the land. The humans who have assisted the Zandians have won their freedom on the planet, but it is a conditional freedom. The main character, Riya, recognizes that these conditions are akin to another form of slavery. With so much emphasis put on repopulation, the culture created is one that is very similar to what can be found in various places on earth: a woman's power is through her children. In certain cultures, a woman marries into a patriarchal home, where she lacks any sort of power or influence - that is until she has children. Her children will revere and respect her, and once they are of an age to be in charge, they will defer to her. It's similar here with the Zandians. Lili explains to Riya essentially that their freedom will live on through their children and decedents. Their children will be free to choose and will be the ones in charge, the dominant culture. Having lived life as slaves, this is a new and radical idea. The theme of "owning the future" is a prominent one among the human women. But of course, Riya knows she can never have children... Once on their own homestead, Riya and her three make quick work building a thriving home. It is here that Riya's brilliance is finally allowed freedom to shine. It's discovered that though she has been denied formal education and even literacy, she understands complex concepts of chemistry that even scholars often have a hard time grasping. Botany, agriculture, healing, experimenting - these things all come naturally to her. Her rigorous work is not only something she enjoys, but something she feels she needs to do to compensate for the fact that she cannot have children - and that she is withholding that fact. In her eyes though, nothing she can do will ever be good enough to replace that, despite her epic contributions to society. We learn that much of Riya's brilliance comes from the resourcefulness of her human predecessors. Under the oppression of slavery, humans relied on the strong oral culture that many human cultures have been using for eons. Their knowledge, traditions, and stories, are exchanged diligently and passionately in the night. It is something they feel loyal to before anything else - it is their one connection to their own identity, and they cling to this last breath of air with their entire being. Zandian sexual practices are closely intertwined with ideas of discipline and "training" (the later, simply being a more militant way of saying "getting to know what another and their preferences.) With Riya having been a slave - and a horrifically mistreated one at that - these practices would intuitively and typically be traumatic and awful for her. But it is made clear that much of this talk is done in a playful way. Each scene includes that all three are careful to always be checking in with Riya with concern, making sure that what is being done and said is to her pleasure. They have all communicated prior to each other what they enjoy. We do not witness in the book what these conversations look like, but the fact that they have taken place is mentioned multiple times throughout. Much of it is a game of playing with the idea of power and the inversion of traditional power ideas. The three bulky warriors take the physical and verbal role of being the dominant and demanding where Riya does the physical and verbal motions of being the submissive obedient. But what is arousing to each individual is the fact that it is Riya who has the real control. She - and they - revel in the fact that she - her existence - has the power to bring these mighty warriors to a pile of mush and pleasure. She has the power to make them lose control over themselves - putting her in control. Their actions, though taken at face value with no context, seem to be about them using her, are purely focused on her pleasure. Their pleasure is derived from hers, and vise-versa, ultimately a mutual enjoyment. Jax, Torren, and Ronanare also clear, from the start, that though they are physically attracted to her, it is her as a person, as an individual with agency, who they desire and admire. She's more than sexual pleasure to them; she is their inspiration, their brilliant leader, their partner. Both Riya and the cousins are ultimately learning how to live. Riya comes from the background of slavery, and the cousins from the background of living in a sort of liminal state - having been driven from their planet and in constant guard and fight to regain it. They learn to be people, individuals, who are happy. We get to see a part of Zandia that has not been over mined by the Finns - a lush Eden where their crystals grow in abundance. The crystals hold a great deal of symbolism for the Zandians and the story. The Zandians subsist on these crystals. It is the source of their life, energy, and strength. The fact that they adorn their mates with their crystals is a way of emphasizing the importance of the relationship. Their mates are the life, subsistence, energy, and reason for being. They can't exist without these crystals, and their mates are as vital to them as their own breath. It is in this Eden that Riya feels a spark and a peace; there is clearly a change that happens here, though something that can't be put into words. But it certainly places in the readers' minds that perhaps Riya's worries aren't necessary... Riya's guilt becomes too much for her as the women from all the other homesteads become pregnant. She sees that her mates have received her file and it is only a matter of time before they learn the truth. Her guilt drives her away, despite the fact that she sees no joy to life without them. She wants their happiness, and feels she can't give them complete happiness. Are her mates smart enough - do they truly know her well enough to know that her withholding this was not an act of deceit, but one of survival?

The great series continues - excellent book - one of the best in the series! (Can be read as standalone too!)
Loved the book! If the description of a reverse harem throws you off (it did me), don't let it. Other stories which describe themselves as reverse harems that I've read do not have the depth, caring and commitment shown in this story. This best is probably best read in order - but doesn't have to be. The Zandians now have the home world/planet back after many years away. They now are looking to survive and prosper and ensure they hold and repopulate their planet. Since guys outnumber the women by far, it makes sense that they would look to arrange one woman to several men. This story focuses on Riya a human who is attracted to three men (cousins) who are likewise attracted to her. But since she is human and not Zandian and because she was told she cannot have children she worries the men only are attracted to her in order to reproduce. Riya also worries she may be deported from the planet since she perceives herself as useless since she cannot have children. Of course if that was all there was to the story, it wouldn't be a very fun story to read. And, it's a fun story to read! Riya is a really sweet, practical heroine and her three mates are very great too (except a little blindsided by Riya's worries and her response to the worries). I really enjoyed myself and think this is one of the best books of the series. Enjoy!

A brilliant start to a new series and I am looking forward to the next one.
I have read all of the Zandian Series and I was sad that it was coming to an end. So I am delighted that this wonderful author tock on a partner and is looking after her readers and writing a brilliant follow up series. This is a very good first book. There are plenty of hot sexy scenes between the four main characters. There is also a great back story telling about the planet repopulating. I loved this sweet hot story. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic Story
This is the story of Zandians Tarren, Jax, Ronan mating with Riya. Riya does not feel she can be a proper mate because she has been told she is barren. The Zandians are such sweet mates. No m/m. Very steamy sex scenes with light bdsm.
