This thing's actually really good
The sound is a little heavy on bass, but the dynamic range is fantastic. Music sounds amazing in these headphones. I plug it into a speaker set which has separate bass and treble adjustments, and turn the bass down about 10% from default sound, and leave treble at default. My old headset I had both bass & treble turned way up to mimic some dynamic range. The retractable microphone extends out a little further than you can see in any of the pictures online, so it works as a boom mic which stops about an inch from the corner of your mouth. The mic's stalk is bend-able for positioning. The mic's sound quality is "superb"... so many devices skimp on mic quality (even some crazy expensive phone's I've owned), but this headset has a really nice sound quality from the mic. It also doesn't pic up background noise very much at all. Ideal. The retracting feature on the mic's stalk is nice for those who may not want a mic on their headset, or only want one part time. Comfort is good but not perfect. But it's generally true that over-the-ear full coverage headsets are not strong on long term wear comfort. I'd say this headset is above average in comfort for heavier headsets. This is the one spot I'd give them 4 out of 5 stars, but it's not nearly enough to knock a star off the cumulative rating. The in-line volume adjust and mic on/off switch are small and simple, but they have a more premium feel than some other headsets I have had. The cable feels reasonably solid. I hope that it lasts, I go through headphone cables pretty fast. The cable splits into two lines (mic & speaker wires) fairly close to the headset (about 1meter/3feet from the headset) terminating in plugs. And then a second split/double wire plugs into those plugs and is actually quite long, giving the cord a lot of reach. This may be handy for those who are plugging their headphone speaker wire in at a different location than their microphone. For example, I can plug the phones into the desktop speakers, and the mic into the back of the computer. Also, possibly, having extra plugs near the headphones might act as a sort of 'break-away' safety to protect the headphones wires from yanking when dropped (not sure). For sub-100 dollar headphones, I'm very happy with them. Should have gotten them ages ago.

Best Headset I've Owned So Far
I'm not a big headset enthusiast, so I don't know much about the technicality of the headset compared to others, but I do know that I love them. Previous to owning these I owned a Logitech G230, which were total ****. They were much more uncomfortable, I got better sound quality and bass out of earbuds, and the mic was annoying to mess with. Furthermore, I accidentily sat on them in the dark once and they snapped in half, and I'm not a very heavy person. Instead of getting a new pair, I decided to upgrade. With these, they are comfortable, they have great sound quality (for my purposes at least), they look pretty slick, and they are much more sturdy. In fact, shortly after buying these ones I accidentily sat on them (lol) and these ones didn't break! As for what I use them for, I listen to a lot of music and I also play a lot of csgo. For those of you who play csgo, you can confirm that being able to tell where people are coming from via footsteps is a HUGE advantage. With these I can hear people clearly and easily. As for music, I have no complaints. Then again, I don't know what $500 headphones sound like so I can't really compare these to anything but junky $10 headphones. These are better. I have owned these headphones for several months and they are holding up really well. Pros Sound Quality Long Cord Length Being able to retract the mic is incredibly handy for when you aren't gaming Volume control on cord Comfort Looks Cons I wish the cord without the extension was about a foot or two longer for my setup at least

Great headset for the budget minded
The steel series Siberia v2 headset packs a lot of quality for the money. I picked this headset up on Cyber Monday for $50, along with an Astro Pro Mix amp. My review of this headset will contain both the use of the astro mix amp, and without. So I want to keep this more focused on gaming, since this is a gaming headset. I can't tell you how angry it makes me reading reviews on gaming headsets where the reviewer is just talking about how great or terrible it sounds listening to classical music, when all you want to know is how well it performs while gaming! I will include a bit about music, but I won't wax on about it. So I've previously owned Turtle Beach x1, TB x3 (wireless), and Tritton AX pro headsets. I can say with great confidence these blow all of them combined out of the water! I also have experience using the Astro A40, and Sennheiser PC360s (Currently called the G4ME One) both with Astro Mix amp. Far and away the Mix amp with PC 360 is the best setup I've ever experienced (For gaming). ------------------------------- Siberia V2 without mix amp tested on PC with AC Unity, Battlefield 4, and Left for Dead 2: *Good sound stage for positional Audio. Caught a few people sneaking up on me, but got caught a lot when a lot of sound was happening. Could not tell whether enemies were up high or low, but could hear them walking all around me. *Kind of quite compared to what I am use to, but still loud enough to make gaming enjoyable. *The Lows are very dominant, but not overwhelming. They Handle the blends of highs mids and lows all happening at the same time, without the sounds all bleeding together, or cutting out like some headsets (Astro A40). *Microphone works well, and friends noted that I sounded allot clearer and louder than before (which sometimes isn't always good) *Very Comfortable once broken in. Can wear them for hours and hours. I was worried about the ear pad material making my head sweat, but it doesn't. Before they were broken in, they clamped to my head and pressed together a bit too hard, but not much of an issue now that they are broken in. ------------------------------ Siberia V2 With Astro Mix amp tested with Battlefield 4 on Xbox 360, and PC with AC Unity, Battlefield 4, and Left for Dead 2: *Great sound Stage for positional Audio. Noticeably better than without the mix amp (I run with the clean EQ). With some Juice, these things BANG! I could hear people or zombies sneaking up on me allot easier with other sounds banging in the headset. In battlefield, I could hear people running all around, And had an easier time telling where enemies were. Still had the problem of not being able to tell if they were high or low. * The lows were still more dominant, but the mids and highs sounded much better! No bleeding or smearing tones at all. Everything was very well defined, but the bass being more dominant, sucks sometimes for FPS gaming. Was awesome for Assassins Creed Unity. Makes it way more cinematic, and thus more enjoyable. *Microphone, of course, no difference. ------------------------------ So the Headset by itself is good, but pump a bit more juice to it, and add Headset virtual surround, and they come to life! This is the least expensive headset I've ever purchased, but the best sounding. Forget Triton, forget Turtle beach. Comparing to the other High end sets in the Astro A40s, and the Sennheiser PC360s, I would say this is an incredible bang for your buck headset, but not the go to for a highest quality audio setup. Compared to the Astro A40s: *They sound way better overall. Better sound stage, better defined tones, however... With the Mix amp, The A40s barely edges out the Siberia V2 for positional queues, which I believe is the biggest factor for FPS games. The A40 however does have issues with allot of sounds happening simultaneously and the Highs are very dominant. So if there is an explosion, footsteps your tracking, gunfire and friends talking, it all sort of blurs together and sounds god awful. The Siberia V2 handles everything very well, and keeping everything better defined. Dollar for Dollar between the two, plain and simple.. Siberia V2 all the way. Compared to the PC 360s: Without the mix amp, I definitely prefer the Siberia V2. With the mix amp, however.... The PC 360 wins by a large margin. The only thing the PC360 doesn't do as well is bass. But for gaming audio, too much bass can make you audibly blind for seconds at a time, and that's just when someone will sneak up and take you out. The PC360 with mix amp is hands down the best audio system I've ever experienced in gaming. Handles all sounds perfectly defined, and you can hear if something or someone is dropping in on you, or something from any direction, as well as how far away that sound is. It's absolutely amazing! Sorry for rambling there, I'm just a big fan of that configuration. But you're talking a $330 ($200 for the headset $130 for the Amp) config vs $180. Sound Stage: 7/10 Overall sound: 8/10 Comfort: 7/10 Finally, the music review section. Audiophiles who review gaming headsets against listening to music will love this detailed review: It sounds good..... (lol) Hip-Hop and Dub step are the standout genres, especially with an amp. Hope this helps someone out, who was in my position of wanting to find a quality headset for gaming audio, across multiple platforms, but didn't want to break the bank. If you have any questions or would like further information, write me a comment and I'll get back to you.

Love this Headset! :DD
I had a friend recommend these to me and I've had them for almost a month now. All I can say is it's simply amazing! I can wear this headset for hours at a time without feeling uncomfortable or needing to take a break from them. The over ear design fits perfectly over my ears (I have slightly small ears) and doesn't irritate my industrial piercing! The auto-adjustable head piece doesn't hurt at all after long period of use. Though if you like to style your hair with volume, it will leave and indentation in your hair. I also like the retractable mic. I've been using it quite frequently, almost several times a day since I've own this, and there's no wear or damage to it whatsoever. I'm not a sound expert, but the sound quality is very nice from what I hear with it. I really like the fact I can manually shut off my mic and lower the volume whenever I need to. I did think it was a usb type headset, but it uses the headphone and mic jacks instead. Be aware of that. The cord is pretty long, 3 meters (1m with a 2m extension), and pretty strong. I've tripped on it (I'm very clumsy, lol) and gotten it caught on numerous things and haven't bent or pulled the wires out of it yet! And I'm not gentle with my headsets.

Splurge if you can!
I purchased the SteelSeries Siberia v2 Headset after my Logitech G35 broke (it fell off my desk one night and broke apart, still technically works, though) after over 2 years of continuous use. I was very satisfied with my G35 (which I think I paid about $130 for at the time), but I thought that I might be able to find comparable quality at a lower price point. I'd always seen SteelSeries (and specifically the Siberia) advertised since I follow some professional gaming, so I thought I'd look into it. With the reviews and sub-$60 price, I thought this was an easy choice. When I first put the headset on, it definitely felt different. Not bad; just different. I was used to the relatively high-weight of my old headset, whereas these felt like nothing. The cups fit nicely over my ears, and the band did manage to fit my larger-than-average head. So I'd give the fit full points alone. However (and, now, I'm not sure if this was an error in the product I was sent, or I just didn't get the full gist of the product from the description), there were a few things off with the headset. Firstly, I noticed that the finish on the large plastic pieces was matte, while the picture leads me to believe they have a glossy finish. This, actually, was a bonus for me. I've seen a lot of people complain about the glossy finish. As I set up the headset to use, I noticed there were more things off about it. The in-line controls just weren't there. The cable attached to the left ear-cup was about two feet long (not nearly long enough), and then it just terminated in two 3.5 mm jacks. A sound card (?) was included with it that had jacks for the headset cable, and the card itself ended in a USB and another 3.5 mm jack. The sound card looked *kind of* like the in-line controls that were in the picture (it had a mute switch and volume rocker), but as you can see, the picture doesn't show a two-in-one-out setup of wires like the sound card I received did. The card was also a lot bigger than the controls I thought it would have, and having it two feet down the line and not somewhere where I can easily reach it (albeit, I was spoiled with my G35, as it had a mute button and volume rocker directly on the left ear-cup) just wouldn't do. That's where these weird dissimilarities end. When I went to set it up, I had the headset on (it was pretty comfortable). I plugged the 3.5's into the card, then the USB into my computer, followed by the last 3.5. And I just heard this light buzzing. Now, I can heard strangely high pitches, so I can't confirm whether or not anyone else can hear it, but it was definitely there. I booted up a game to test it out. I'm not an really audiophile, but the sound quality was OK. The bass was full, but didn't wash out the treble. They weren't particularly different from my $5 Panasonic ear-buds. And the quality was strange in non-game media. Youtube videos sounded off. Something with the EQ made someone talking in a normal setting sound synthetic. And I just couldn't get over that buzzing. So, I tried plugging the headset in by *just* the 3.5 mm jacks. This stopped the buzzing. It was totally fine. I went back and forth between the card and just the jacks, and the same things resulted every time. And there was no noticeable difference in sound quality. One other thing: there were some weird interactions with the FN-volume controls on my keyboard. Like, I turned the volume up that way, but it only turned up one of the settings in the mixer, which was not the one that controlled the volume of my headset. I honestly can't say anything about the mic because I didn't use it. It's a secondary feature for me, and as long as I have a mic that my friends and teammates can hear me with, I'm fine. So now I had a choice: use the sound card and be plagued by the buzzing, or have myself restricted to a two-foot cable and not be able to adjust my volume settings. My choice was to return the product. I miss my G35. I think it might be worth it to get another. Just checked Amazon and you can get one for less than $100. Bottom line: Definitely not worth the MSRP, and even at this price, I'd rather spend more to get a better product. Something that you potentially spend multiple hours on end having on your head and pleasuring your ears should be a good product through-and-through, and the Siberia v2 just doesn't meet my standards.

Fits comfortably, and probably the highest quality mic/headphones combo I've owned
The build quality on these are superb, I've had them for about a year now, and haven't had any problems. The short cord is ideal for me, it's practically impossible to trip over it, and if for some reason you do need the extra length, it comes with an extension cable that does its job. The cuffs are relatively comfortable, although it may get a bit irritating after prolonged use. The band on the top is probably my favorite part of the entire product. It is truly a one size fits all; every other headset I've had, I'm always in the awkward head size in between intervals (ticks), so none has ever fit as good as this pair. The sound quality is very nice on these, catching very nice mids and highs, and some decent Bass. The microphone is very high quality, it blocks out most, if not all, light to moderate background noise (even some loud ones), and I actually like how my voice sounds through these. It is also a nice addition that the microphone is adjustable in length and orientation. TL;DR: Pretty comfortable, high-quality headset (both in input and output sound quality).

Poor adjustment options
Based on some of the other reviews about these headphones having an excellent fit for large heads, the sound quality being excellent, etc. I ordered them to replace my Fatal1ty HS-1000 headset which I find uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. The basic fit of the Siberia V2 headset is roughly the same as the HS-1000, which is to say "slightly too tight" for me. In addition, the retractable mic is slightly too short for me and at full extension doesn't come far enough to pick up my voice at a decent level unless I shout, or wear the headset so that the left cuff is sitting on my ear rather than around it, neither of which are acceptable options. The boom of the HS-1000 is maybe a half inch longer, which gives adequate play to get the microphone forward of my mouth where it picks up my voice easily.

A Great Headset At A Great Cost
Steelseries makes many excellent products, this being one as well, but there is one key area this headset fails to deliver and unfortunately that is in quality of audio. If you're looking for the two in one combo (headphones and built-in microphone) then at this price range the Siberia V2 is highly recommended but if you can live with headphones and a clip-on mic the Audio Technica AD700 & Zalman Clip-On Mic is a vastly superior combination. Steelseries Sibera V2 Pros: Extremely comfortable. Very well built. High quality microphone. One of the most comfortable headsets that will fit any sized head. A very adequate cable length (minus the included extended cable.) An easy to reach and unobtrusive volume and microphone control device. Excellent for hip-hop and dubstep. Steelseries Sibera V2 Cons: Average quality highs. (Sound) Below average quality mids. (Sound) Above Average quality lows. (Sound) Poor soundstage. Not very good at all for gaming due to overall sound, particularly in FPS's. To put it simply the Siberia V2s just aren't very loud when it comes to anything other than bass. Bass drowns out vital in-game sounds, especially in first person shooters. Those explosions sound so cool! Too bad I couldn't hear the guy sneaking up behind me nor what direction he came from. Superior options at a cheaper price. Icemat Siberia Headset (clip-on microphone included). Steelseries bought Icemat, their current headset design is based off Icemat. $30 on EBay. JVC HARX700 headphones (no mic) $40 on Amazon. Zalman Clip-On Mic $7.90 (free shipping) Amazon seller. Steelseries Siberia Headset (V1, identical to Icemat Headset with clip-on microphone but it has the Steelseries box and logo on the headband) $70 on Amazon. The best option. Audio Technica AD700. In terms of design, comfortable level, soundstage, highs, mids, lows, and usefulness in games the AD700s are unbeatable at this price range. They fluctuate between $89-$98 on Amazon and the Zalman Clip-On Mic is $7.90 flat. If you have a small head the rubber band mod will set you right and after 100 hours of burn-in, which is when you'll get 100% of the audio quality for these headphones you'll never want another pair.

||| Sehr gutes Headset - Perfekter Allrounder |||
Wirkt also damit sehr stabil und sicher. Hatte also schon bedenken das da was nicht passen könnte.
