I love this sponge. I'd been using a bath towel for 2 years now & it seems like the soap doesn't lather up good with a towel & I don't like shower poufs because they fall apart quickly and are rough. My skin is sensitive and this sponge is very soft when wet, the soaps lathers nicely and I don't think this will fall apart fast like the synthetic ones do. Its so gentle that I even use it on my 15 mo old son. The sponge fits just right in my hand & I've had no problems using it. I will reorder when mine wears out or falls apart. 7/25/16 UPDATE Its been a few months since I've started using this sponge and it is still in great shape- hasn't fallen apart, still very soft and lathers well. I love that this sponge is the right size for my hand and not bulky, scratchy or irritating. I bathe nightly and use it to wash even my face because it is so gentle. Every night after a bath I do rinse well with clean water and squeeze the water out so it can dry before the next night. I'd recommend.

THis bath sponge is awesome! It's soo soft and very durable. And you can clean it in vinegar & water. Did you know vinegar is a natural disinfectant? I love the fact that it's a renewable resource. I was previously using the manufactured puffs and started thinking about all of those puffs ending up in the landfill, or worse, around the neck of some poor bird so I decided to switch. I love it! Next time I will buy one size up. This size is on the small end for me. I ordered a bigger one from a different company(less expensive) and it was not the same at all. It felt more like a car sponge. Lesson learned. When this one wears out, I will be ordering the next one from Spa Destinations.

So happy with this purchase! We started buying sponges from Tarpon Springs, FL a couple years ago and now can't use anything else. They are so soft and take way less soap to get a good lather. We won't be back to the area for a while, so I was really excited to find on Amazon. There was a slight smell after wetting, but I'm sure it will go away with use. Highly recommend this sponge.

The sponge is very soft, but I was disappointed in the size. The sponge is egg-shaped. Although it barely made the promised 4 to 5 inch length, the other dimensions were only 3 inches and 3 1/2 inches making the sponge much smaller than I expected. I measured it while it was damp as that is the largest it will ever be.

I've been using natural sponges since I was six years old (thank my mom for that), so they've been a faithful companion throughout my life. This sponge isn't bad, but the one I received is WAY smaller than advertised (2 1/2 inches wide when soaked, which is rather pitiful). It's also a bit flimsy, already shedding pieces after two days of use. I realize natural sponges aren't manufactured and can vary, but this is way off the mark. It does feel nice though, and I've had worse, so I'll give it three stars. UPDATE (3/3/2019): The seller saw my review and immediately sent a replacement. The replacement they sent is the correct size and isn't falling apart, so I'm satisfied, and changing my review to four stars. I will buy from them again.

Okay...some people may find this review... icky.If you are the type of person who has three showers a day, stop reading NOW!! Some background...I live in an older home ( like 100 years old) and I don't have a shower, only a bathtub. This is fine for me- I prefer baths and if I had to choose would definately choose a tub!! It's an old iron clawfoot, and I love it! I usually have my baths at night. Here's the problem. In the winter my skin is EXTREMELY dry, and hot baths make the situation worse. So, every other day I will have what is often called a "sink bath" or " bucket bath " -MY favorite term for this practice is called "whore's bath". The idea is that you just wash the stinky bits (pits, groin, maybe feet) and leave the rest alone. It's also good for lazy people. I have been wanting a sponge like this for a while, because after getting it wet you can squirt or rub it with soap and it's all soft and squishy. I have found washcloths to be lacking in this area, as are those net things and just the soap itself, but this is perfect because it retains just enough water to make you feel clean. Sometimes I kneel in the tub and use it, sometimes just in front of the sink on a towel ( If you are old like me imagine the sponge/bathing scene in the movie Witness, only...not sexy...) Anyhoo, it has served its purpose perfectly, dries quickly, retains no odours, and has not fallen apart. I love it!!

This little sea sponge is amazing!! It's so soft, lathers up nicely and is easy to rinse out. It's smallish but perfect for me actually, my hands are small and I wouldn't want some huge sponge. No odd odor (I purchased a natural sea sponge with a handle from another seller for my husband and it smells terrible) and I like that I'm using something natural. We got rid of our shower poofs after reading how much bacteria they hold and washcloths didn't lather up nicely without using a ton of body wash (which seemed wasteful). A tiny bit of body wash and water and this does a great job. I will buy again as needed!

The natural bath sponges from the sea are fabulous to use in the bath or shower. They keep the soap in -they get real soapy. They’re easy to rinse out. And they’re ready for the next time you use. Great feel on the body. Would never use anything else. This seller is terrific for natural sponges and they are delivered very speedily
