Works with Brother HL-2280DW
I used this to replace the original 10 year old drum unit in my HL-2280DW printer. It's a genuine Brother drum unit, was easy to replace, and worked perfectly in my printer. Make sure to follow the instructions included in the box to reset the drum unit counter on the printer. I purchased a "like new" unit from Amazon Warehouse, and other than the box being dinged up, it was in perfect condition and functions like new.

Brother recycles empty cartridges
Authentic toner is worth the money - prints neater, lasts longer than the knock-offs. But what really sold me was that Brother includes a return stamp so you can mail back the empty toner cartridge so it doesn't end up in landfill. (Not sure what they do with it - hopefully use the parts?)

I would give zero stars if that had been an option. Worst print quality ever in 40 years of computing. No amount of corona wire cleaning helps remove the bands of toner left on my prints. Yes, I've used it for months without speaking up, however it is only getting worse. Please save your money and buy the look-alike next time.

Best option for Professional Printing
I have used 3rd party toner cartridges for my Brother HL 2270 DW, and been consistently disappointed. Although the Brother cartridges for my old workhorse are becoming more scarce and expensive, they are still the best option for professional quality printing, and so worth the investment.
