Sure, there is something a bit cynical about these nightstands. The lowest common denominator in MCM design, they're Amazon's algo-driven budget answer to the laziest in contemporary send-ups of modern style. In that regard, they are worthy of at least some contempt, and you could certainly find better looking mock-mcm nightstands elsewhere for a similar price point. But I'm not sure they'll serve you any better than these will. They're 100% wood - no particle board, not even for the drawer bottoms - and completely sturdy. Assembly is absurdly easy - just screw in the legs - maybe took a minute for each table. Even the packaging is reasonably compact. In maybe ten minutes, I had these unboxed, assembled ,and in our bedroom, with the packaging at the curb. Exactly what we needed, with an infant in tow, to retire the plastic stools we've been using as semi-permanent placeholders without breaking the bank or giving up an afternoon we don't have. And, contempt aside, they look pretty alright. We hope to replace them eventually with something we love - but if we never find that, these will serve us just fine as long as we need them to.

All you have to do is screw in the legs, and it’s assembled! I quickly assembled them downstairs and took them up to the bedroom. It is sturdy but lightweight so it was easy to take up the stairs. It also doesn’t have an wobbly legs so it sits evenly. I love the mid-century look of this piece. We got two and are happy with it. Great quality for a reasonable price.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box: 1. The nightstand was well packaged and protected from damage during the shipping process. I also dropped it when I was carrying it and the corners were padded enough that it made no impact. 2. It’s real wood! The entire side table is real, painted wood. I expected particle board. 3. Super easy to assemble, you just screw in the legs. No tools needed. These are the reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: 1. There is a deep crack in one of the legs (not from me dropping it, you can tell the wood was split before and there is a little glue residue on top of the crack). However, i was able to install the leg in such a way the crack faces the back. It does not affect the integrity of the leg at all and can be easily fixed with wood filler. Honestly, the hassle of exchanging the table is not worth it for this minor flaw. 2. The drawer is not on sliders so it’s just wood scraping wood when you pull it out/push it in. I think waxing the drawer’s bottom will fix this. Not a deal breaker, but I thought it important to mention. Overall, this is a great piece of furniture for the price. I would repurchase.

Furnishing a guest bedroom; bought these 2 nightstands & king bed. Love the simple, clean style & that they are real wood. Easy to construct: simply screw the legs on. Like others said, the finish is slightly rough and 1 leg in ea box had a split in the wood so I placed it in the rear. The color is on the red side; closer to mohagany than walnut. Can’t beat the price; less than those I was looking @ used on fb marketplace.

Got theses for a mid century modern style bedroom redo. They are extremely easy to put together ( just attach the legs ). They are very sturdy , and look great. Just don't expect a shiny furniture finish. They are a little more rustic than that, you can feel the wood grain, and they have a somewhat satin finish, but over all look really good and are a bargain for the price.

I didn’t know what to expect given that it was only $97, but the largely positive reviews set my expectations too high. This table looks really nice and it gets the job done, but boy does it feel incredibly cheap. The drawer is rough and difficult to open smoothly, and the texture of the wood is VERY rough. It definitely needs to be sanded and refinished. Legs are also uneven so the table is wobbly on hard floors. I’m no expert, but if this is real wood then it’s the cheapest wood known to man. Overall I love the style but I would’ve gladly paid a little more for better quality. Based on the other reviews it seems that the price fluctuates quite a bit, and IMO I wouldn’t pay anything over the $97 that I paid. Good example of you get what you pay for.

Pay attention to the measurements! This table is built very well and is a good value *if* you are looking for a small table. In the picture, I put a largish coffee mug on top. This isn't a giant mug. It's just a small table. I bought this to put my printer on, but since my printer is a large format printer, it dwarfs the table and looks comically big. So I just put it in a corner and store papers inside. I will say that it was easy to assemble. Unlike many of the tables on Amazon, it comes mostly assembled. You just have to screw on the legs. Overall, I'm happy with it. I only recommend it if you are specifically looking for a small table, though.

Amazon has been very slow the last couple months, so it took a long time to get here. But it was worth the wait! I love this little night stand table, compliments my decor. Seems to be pretty sturdy, easy to put together, and the drawer is a good size. Thank you, I'm very pleased.

I was really on the fence as to whether or not to purchase a set of these bed side tables. BUT for just over $300 for 2, I decided to go for it. I've been searching a while for solid walnut bed side tables and the price was closer to $350-400 for just one table. We are happy with this purchase, even though the walnut is on the light side (I now see that in the description!).

I bought this to use as a nite table for my bedroom, I had high expectations. They were exceeded. It’s very well made. The finish is excellent and has a rich look. I bought it because it was mid century designed but would say even if you don’t care about that it’s still a great buy. In any event I am more than pleased snd highly recommended it.

This table was easy to put together and shipped very quickly! It’s sturdy and the drawer works well. I was excepting it to be a more ‘vibrant glossy’ finish but it is a little dull. I still like it though.
