Does it fit a 17 inch laptop?

My laptop measures 16 x 12.5 x 1 and it did NOT fit even though this bag's measurements for the interior laptop compartment says: 17 X 12.5 X 2.5 inches. The zippers could not close over a corner of the laptop. It's because the bag is smaller at the top than at the bottom. The laptop is an Alienware Area 51m. Bummer. I had to return the bag.

What is the Max Weight Load? and how does it hold up to time?

Bought this based on glowing durability recommendations and it has proven true or me. I carry reasonably heavy loads for short trips multiple times a week and the pack looks near perfect after 5+ years. Also, it is comfortable under a heavy load. The strap padding and handle are well designed. My only complaint being the durability trade off is heaviness, about 3.6# empty. Am looking now for a new pack that has the strength/durability of this one, but lighter in weight.

Will it fit under the seat in an airplane?

I recently took this bag on a Delta business class flight, fully packed and stretched to the max. It did not fit under the seat, but I had the aisle and the space under the seat was about half that of the middle and window seats. It did fit nicely in the overhead compartment, and my +1 bag fit under the seat. Fully packed it does not exceed the carry-on limits.
