EVERKI Business 120 Laptop Backpack with Rain Cover, Black - 40L

I had gotten tired of constantly replacing cheaper backpacks. The zippers would come off track, and the thinner material would fold or collapse once you removed a few items, which made the bag feel sloppy and unstable. I finally decided to spend a little more money on a new one, and I’m happy I did. Yes, the price is higher than many other backpacks, but the quality absolutely exceeds expectations in both design and functionality. The bag is well built with strong, high quality zippers and sturdy material that holds its shape even when it is not fully loaded. The orange interior lining is a great touch because it makes it easy to find what you have stored in the many compartments. I work as an investigator and carry a fairly large laptop, a thick business portfolio, and several additional items I need throughout the day. This bag fits everything comfortably with room to spare. It is slightly larger than other backpacks I have owned, but that extra space and structure are exactly what I was looking for. I truly believe this is a bag that will last.

I bought an MSI GT80S Titan and have been using it as a daily driver for over a year now. If you have a really big laptop, you know there are not too many backpack options. Compound the lack of support with the weight of such a laptop and its power supply(ies) and you will loathe choosing such a computer. You will want to go to an old laptop to save your back. What shall you do? When I got my computer, it came with a bag. The free bag had thin shoulder straps that failed to spread out the load over my shoulders and very little compartmentalization. The Everki Titan is completely different. It fits my behemoth laptop, is as comfortable as a backpack can be with such weight, and has loads of compartmentalization. I absolutely love the thoughtful use of space in this bag. It has an included bag that sits on the bottom of the main compartment for holding stuff. It fits all my various chargers for iPhone, Samsung rapid charger, Garmin watch, older Android tablets, in addition to the gigantic power brick and charging cable for my laptop. All of that stuff fits in this little sack tucked into the bottom of the bag, freeing up the rest of the bag for anything I can muster the strength to carry in the rest of the bag. Once loaded, the bag goes on my shoulders and feels comfortable with the straps' ample cushioning and the back panel that lets air pass between the bag and my back. The bag itself has a bit of heft and feels to be made of thick nylon that should stand up to years of use without issue, exceeding the life of the computer I bought it to carry. I will no doubt continue carrying the bag with successive computers due to its solid build quality. I am 5'10" tall and weigh about 230 pounds. The bag fits my frame well. The bag appears large nonetheless and will be wider than most people that carry it. With that in mind, I have noticed that the bag's width initially made me brush the corner of the bag against doorways. After a couple of days, I learned to compensate for this extra width and to exercise caution to avoid impacts to my laptop. The makers were even kind enough to include a rain cover inside the bag. I am obsessive about bags and this bag ticks all the boxes for what makes a great bag. Even with a smaller computer, this bag would still shine with its rugged construction and thoughtful layout. The price is quite high compared to what you get at big-box stores, but this bag is an investment and provides a level of refinement you will not find in cheaper bags. I highly recommend it.

UPDATE May 2026 I’m using this backpack for the first time today. I can confirm it’s a great product. There are two things I recommend EVERKI consider for improvement to make it a near perfect backpack: 1) Add a second, separate strap in the back near the top for better stabilization with taller roller bag handles. Even though this has a robust strap at the bottom, it still wants to lean forward. 2) Modify the carry handle to have much more cushioning and also a little more room to slip your hands into the handle. —————- This checks all the boxes for me - easy access to all compartments, lots of storage for small, medium and large items including a quick-access pocket on the top, fully accessible rear section that has thick padding for sensitive electronics, two side pockets, pass-through slot on back so it stays with my roller bag and more including a rain cover! It's a little pricey compared to many others, but it's about half the price of the very expensive Travelpro Altitude I was considering making this a reasonable value all things considered.

I bought the Everki Business 120 Business Laptop Backpack for my very expensive Alienware M18 Gaming Laptop, only after a month of researching the available options for an 18 Inch Laptop. I considered buying an expensive hardcase, but after reading reviews from other owners, reading the bag specifications, and that I needed some somewhat easy to travel the USA with, it was clear that this was the bag I needed. Its tough, and can handle the weight of my 18 Inch Gaming Laptop and everything else I need to carry with it. I needed the best laptop bag I could find, and this is it. It has tons of space and pockets. It firmly secures the laptop in its own well padded section. Its made with a dense and strong material. The zippers work well and are strong. I use a TSA lock on the Laptop section to keep people from snooping. The bag will hold files and some spare clothes if needed. When you're traveling from hotel to hotel for several months, you'll appreciate its inner roominess. If I need to go light on a flight, this is the bag. It will carry my tech gear and days worth of clothes. I carry a full sized wireless keyboard and mouse box in the divided section opposite of the laptop. I also carry encrypted hard drives, legal files, 10 feet HDMI and DisplayPort cables too. I have owned a lot of laptops and laptop bags over the years, and this one is my favorite, the best made, comes with a water resistant cover that goes over the bag in a rainy situation. It was worth every dollar.

I',m not going to blaze a new trail here. There are 500 some-odd reviews of this thing, but I guess I'll add my 2 cents. I got this as an early birthday present from the wife, and man! What a nice bag! I'm coming from a Swiss Tech Ibex, and as good as that bag is, this is better. It's got the one killer feature that the Ibex didn't: It opens 180 degrees so that I hopefully won't have to take my laptop out of the bag at airports. That's a huge time saver when we travel. But that's not all. While that was the main draw, this bag is chock full of nice little features that make me pretty certain that the people at Everki put some serious thought into this bag. The "rain jacket" for instance. It probably cost them about $1 to add that to the final production cost of the bag.. but oh so welcome. The same goes for the gear bag they also include. Both are very nice additions. Then there's the velvety lining in the Laptop, tablet, and phone sections of this bag. Nice! The bottle holder pocket is greatness, with its lanyard to keep the bottle in place. And oh the pockets! I went from a fairly messy, stuffed Ibex to a nice neat Titan with plenty of room to spare. The Ibex is a big bag. Well, correction: I thought it was a big bag. But this thing dwarfs it in capacity. It's only a little taller and doesn't seem much thicker, but it certainly organizes so much better that it's like having a bag that's twice the size. I have a 17" laptop. It's an HP Envy. The darned thing is big enough for a fill sized keyboard, and has 3 hard drives inside it. That gives you an idea of the size. It looks a little lost in the laptop sleeve. This thing swallows it. I could put my old Lenovo W700 in here, I think. (Go look THAT monster up... 10lb laptop) The construction is really good... possibly better than any bag I've ever owned. It's comfortable on my shoulders (And I'm a fireplug of a man) and most importantly, comes off of my shoulders easily. That's not always the case with other backpacks, as I have to struggle to get out of them. Unless you just need the room, you might want to look at the Atlas. It's not quite as big as this thing, and should have the same quality of workmanship. But if you're a pack rat like me, and feel the need to bring everything including the kitchen sink along when you travel, then this might be the perfect bag for you! I'll be traveling out of town this fall, and might not even take luggage, because I'm pretty sure I can fit a weekend's worth of clothing, my camera, and my CPAP in this without over stuffing it. Note: I have nothing to say about the long-term durability, as I just got this, but I will say that it looks tough as nails.

We needed a pack large enough to carry a gigantic Acer Predator gaming laptop and tons of gaming-related stuff safely on airplane trips. PROS: -I have been amazed at how much can fit in this thing. It actually holds more than I expected after reading a lot of reviews. See my photos for detail. The first one shows some of the contents for our last trip: the ginormous Acer Predator (with it's ginormous power supply), a smaller (by comparison, but still 15+ inches long) laptop and power supply, a large gaming keyboard, 2 gaming mice, 3 full-size game controllers, a 3' long keyboard/mousepad mat (rolled up), a Switch dock and cords, a 2-outlet surge protector, and (not pictured) several sets of ear buds and a couple of small USB batter backups. The second photo shows that I then added a stuffed full organizer purse and a phone and charger. The third photo shows that on the way home I took out the purse and added a boxed mini Nintendo SNES system. The small case to the side is one of the game controllers from the original batch, just stored in an old camera bag. -On other occasions, I am able to carry the smaller laptop, a fat purse and at least 5 text-book sized-books, plus misc smaller stuff, and plenty of room to spare. -The layout of the pockets and organization features is well done to allow for different types of packing, but is it especially good if you are protecting various electronics and gaming stuff. -The orange interior seemed kind of gimmicky, but it is really smart to help see things. -So far the quality/sturdiness have been great. It feels secure lugging it with the handle on top, and nothing looks worn or compromised about a number of plane trips and car trips. OTHER POINTS -There is NO WAY this is an under seat carry-on unless it was practically empty and you were in a window or middle seat. We've had it on 6 different American and Alaska planes and they seem to have made the aisle seat under seat spaces smaller lately. I don't think it would even fit under one of those empty. Fortunately I didn't plan on it fitting. It fits fine in the overhead compartment, but when full, it definitely exceeds the "official" size rules for a carry on (on Alaska anyway--if they got picky about it, I was prepared to take something out so it could squish down a bit). And that is with nothing in the side pockets. (I left them empty on all trips.) -When fully loaded with all our gear it is VERY HEAVY to get on and off and not really pleasant or comfortable to carry for any length of time. (I am a fairly strong 5'9" woman.) Since there is no waist belt, the chest strap is really not helpful so I didn't use it. Although carrying would be easier with a good waist strap, I am actually glad it doesn't have one since a useful one would be too bulky and get in the way when not in use. It makes sense that they left it off. It is a great pack for carrying to and from transportation, in airports, etc., but not good (if really loaded) for doing much walking around (in my opinion.) -Even with TSA precheck on one trip they wanted stuff taken out as it was so dense with electronics. CONS -The padding at the bottom corners of the big laptop compartment do not connect--they are open, so the corners of the laptop are not actually padded. The laptop area is suspended above the very bottom on the pack, so it is not too bad, but it is a weak spot in my opinion and requires extra caution when taking it off and setting it down. It doesn't really make sense why they left them open/un-padded. -The side compartment with the mesh and string designed to hold a water bottle is not really great for a full-size water bottle. I would make more sense for that pocket to be taller. Even with the lasso/bungee string to hold the top of the bottle, it seems like it will fall out, and it is impossible to get the bottle out easily for a drink when using the tether. The other side compartment does not have the bungee/tether, so you can't fit a bottle or travel mug in it at all. It would be nice to have that option added on the other side as well, so you could carry your water bottle and travel mug both.

I don't write many reviews. But I will for this backpack. If you're like me, then you are used to ordering things online only to discover when delivered that they are smaller or different than advertised. I am a software developer was a big Asus 18" laptop. I have already destroyed 3 Asus brand laptop bags. I ordered another brand of bag that I hoped would handle my 18" Asus, and it completely failed because I couldn't get my laptop in it. So rather than skimp on price this time, I decided to find the best and biggest bag I could this time around. When I opened the box for this Titan, I was really crossing my fingers hoping that the extra cost was not a waste of money again. My first reaction during unpack was "Wow!" This bag exceeded all expectations in it's carry capacity and quality. The thing has so many features I had to read the literature to be sure I understand everything about the bag. When has that ever happened for a backpack of all things?! PROS: This bag swallowed up everything that made my Asus bag bulge to almost breaking. And now I have a lot of room to spare. It can hold AT LEAST twice as much as the previous bag. Not only can it hold much more, but it has more than twice as many places to put things. It took me a good 1/2 hour to figure out every pocket on this bag. In addition to a computer, I carry three spare laptop batteries, a large transformer, power cord, folder full of docs, books, other power cables, GPS, and lot of smaller things like passport, pencils, pens, etc. The engineering of the pockets is excessive - which is a VERY good thing. There are pockets every where that have different function. Pockets with felt, pockets with webbing. Pockets for pencils and pens (that actually work). There is a pocket for a media player. There is a felt pocket for a tablet. The pocket for the laptop is huge - it swallows the Asus whole. There are two side pockets with compartments inside them. There is an expanding zip-up bag on the inside. The quality is super rugged. It is going to hold up because the material is very thick. The zippers are very large and rugged. This bag even comes with a rain cover. There are special support straps on the front for when this bag becomes full. This bag (unlike many other bags), stands upright with all my things in it. There is a carry handle. There is a strap for a hanging on a hook. CONS: To be fair - these are not really weaknesses in the bag - 1 - It has so many places to put things, that I actually temporarily lost my GPS in it. I just couldn't remember where I put it, and forgot to search all the pockets. 2 - This bag will be hard to fit under the seat in front of me on a flight. Oh well - I don't really care about this limitation to be honest. I just wanted to carry all my items in an organized way. This bag was supposed to be big. And it is really big. So now this backpack has spoiled me. From now on most other bags will never again measure up. I completely recommend this bag. ===== Added after some flights: The bag fits fine under seat in front of me (at least on first class). I was a little concerned about that because it is so large. But there was no problem at all. My recommendation above is the same. This bag is much better than any other bag I have used in the past.

The checkpoint friendly nature is as advertised, but in the US nobody will let it run through that way. At least the airports I’ve gone through with it they all required the laptop be fully visible and out in a separate bin. The way it separates I was worried it could unzip itself and flip open, but it seems to not do that. I still almost wish they didn’t build it as a full clamshell as it’s not useful to me that way. This bag is huge. For me it was good. If fully loaded it will not fit under an airplane seat. It sticks out a bit even when it can fit. Nobody has yet called it out. It is designed for a large laptop, and If you don’t have a large laptop, the elastic Velcro strap won’t really fit properly. There is also not much cushion on the bottom, so I wouldn’t go throwing it around unless you add in some padding. The bags durability and versatility is amazing. Not too many things are over engineered these days, and this bag is. It has allowed me to pack all my carry on items and have room to take home more than I brought if needed. If you are a smaller person it may not be comfortable and might be half your size. I was actually surprised by how big it is, but I like it so much I’m keeping it, and getting a second smaller model. It is designed to carry the load comfortably. There are many compartments. It has a rain cover which I’ve not needed to use yet, but it’s nice to have. I’m very happy with this purchase, but as I said, if you are a smaller person or are expecting a typical laptop backpack, the size may be too much for you.

Just purchased the Titan to replace a Port designs laptop bag. There is not much choice for laptop bags that will fit a 17.3 laptop, nevermind an 18.4 so it was either go cheap with the Port designs again or splash out on this. I have not used it extensively yet but it fits the following in it with loads of room to spare: HP Pavilion Dv7 Laptop (17.3 screen) in a large laptop case. Mouse, power supply & mouse matt. Wacom A5 Intuos tablet & pens. Large A4 hardback notebook. Removable hard drive. Small camera, case and power supply. Pens, paper, business cards and general stationary. Spare hoodie. It fits this all in with a ton of room left, it really is HUGE! The laptop compartment is the nicest I have ever seen, felt lined and with shock-absorbing foam surrounding it, it will definately offer brilliant protection. There are loads of different pockets for stuff and even an extra compatment for an Ipad which I use for the Wacom tablet. The build quality seems very good as you would expect for the money and it is comfortable to wear. It is very big but doesn't feel like it is too heavy even when loaded with all the stuff listed above. This bag is well worth the (admittedly very high) price, I realised at times that I was carrying over £1000 worth of equipment around and decided that spending a little more on protecting them was a wise descision. I'm glad I spent the extra money, this seems like one of the best backpacks I have ever used.
