Best Sewing Machine
I absolutely love this sewing machine. While there are many good machines available, I chose this one for a few reasons. The presserfoot can be raised to two different levels and gives me the added room needed when sewing several layers. I have also purchased separately the knee presserfoot lift. It adds a tremendous amount of convenience and helps speed along the process of sewing. However, what I like best about this feature is that it allows me to use both hands when I need to reposition the fabric. It is heavy duty, is easy to thread and use but most of all I know this machine will last for many many years to come. I'm so glad I bought it.

Love Janome.
I love this machine. I bought it to replace the exact same machine that I had used for many years. It does everything I need it to do.

An expensive paperweight filled with frustration
The item arrived quickly, I was excited, plugged it in and there was an error that could not be cleared, took it to the shop before I could even sew one stitch. They fixed it, showed me in the shop, I put it in the car for the 7 minute ride home and again, same error as if moving it causes a problem. A few weeks later, I was sewing and the needles stopped, again 3rd time to the shop because the timing was now off, at this point, I'd only managed to get 2 projects complete. Then I finally got the machine back from the shop, went to sew last night, made the stitch length longer, emergency stop now its not picking up stitches which I would once again imagine will be a timing issue. Unfortunately, I purchased this machine in the U.S. and I now live in Mexico where they can fix it but can't replace it. I had a $200 Brother I was sewing on before, I bought it in 2018 and its been to the shop a total of 2 times in that time. I really thought I was upgrading to something wonderful and the Janome website has no tech support for my model and calling the number on their site leads me back to "contact your dealer" so no help. I have no idea what to do with this hunk of junk that I paid more money for than I care to think about or I'll just start crying. Save your money on this one, I keep hearing Janome is a great brand but you can't tell it by me.

Great machine
This is the third Janome I have bought because I trust the brand. I am a quilter and this machine has a larger throat to push the quilt through it easier. I’m still learning how to use all its features but so far I’m quite happy with it.
