Problems with the lid.
Well made steel bucket, and would have given it 4 or 5 stars, except I was never able to fasten the clamp securing the lid. I contacted the vendor, and they were responsive, however their response did not work/remedy the problem. I was told to put more pressure on the lid while fastening the clamp. Yeah.....not even close. In the long run, I removed the waterproof gasket that lines the underside of the lid. Once I did this, the clamp closed about like it should have. I did not need the bucket to store liquid so not a huge deal, but I should not have had to go to this length to get the bucket/lid to work as intended. In all fairness, the company did offer me the option of returning it. Not sure if this was a “one off” issue, or a consistent problem with the product.

Coating started to peel easily
The product seems fine. The locking mechanism is a little difficult to use. We had to flip it over to get it to lock at all. However, the coating to keep this from rusting started peeling off after the first week. I use this for compostable food and paper before I take it out to the pile in the yard. The coating on the inside is why I bought this particular one.

Straight sided 5 gal. Pail
I needed straight sides and without the support ridges. Just what I needed

I’m using this as a deer feeder and the latch for the lid lock broke the second time I went to fill the corn back up. It still has enough spring tension on the clamp to hold the lid on tight enough to keep water out. But the lid is rusted after a month of being outside and the latch lever breaking so easily are downfalls.

Absolutely useless broke first time used!
The media could not be loaded. The product is crap closes but once tried to. Open and it snaped

Seal Ring is Really Cheap and WIll Break Due to Fatigue Failure
When trying to open the can for the first time the aluminum seal ring bends due to the tight fit and when you seal it up again it bends back. Since this material has no endurance limit it will fail after a few uses. If you do not believe me take a paper clip and bend it back and forth a few times and it will break. Otherwise it is a great container. I also have not found a way to reinforce the item. Tried to lubricate it but it still bends when opening and closing.

Bad seal in the lid
The problem with the lid is that after two uses the seal is falling out of the lid poorly made.
