Sometimes it’s a good idea to read the finer details. My fault.
I purchased the Aloe Vera wax. I was looking for a hard wax. Product did not indicate strip needed for removal as displayed online. Tried the wax on my inner arm just in case, better to be safe, realized it wasn’t drying, come to find out it’s soft wax and requires a strip to remove upon finding the directions in fine print on the bottom of the container. Luckily I hadn’t put the wax on a delicate area, and had a small strip to remove the product. Despite my inability to research more on this product, it preformed well. Initial impression was quite alarming considering I was prepared for a hard wax easy removal but, I will use at some point in the future.

Great product - Easy to use even for a Newbie!
This review is for: Satin Smooth Aloe Vera Pot Wax, 14 Ounce since there are a few different types of wax in this listing. I have never waxed my legs before. I go to a person for my face and was always frustrated with shaving my legs (so I rarely did it). I decided to give it a go and purchased this wax after reading the reviews. I have to say, it was super easy to use and I love the results!! Some tips though ... First of all this particular wax is NOT a hard wax (there is a hard wax in the listing, but this one is not), so be sure to buy strips to pull the wax up with. You will also need wooden sticks to spread it out with and something to melt the wax. Upon reading another review, I went with a candle warmer instead of the more expensive wax melter thingy. It worked perfectly! But you have to give the wax time to melt. I would say mine took about an hour to get to the right consistency. It will make your life so much easier if you just wait until it's a little thinner. It will spread much easier on your skin. If you are brand new to waxing your legs, I highly suggest laying down an old towel and be patient. It may get messy, but once you have the method down, it works perfectly. When you put the fabric strip over the wax, rub it down real good, getting the edges of the wax and everything. Run your knuckles over the whole strip 3 or 4 times to be sure it adheres well and the edges are really caught. I saw my wax lady do this and it really helps with getting all the edges up when you pull. Most likely you will have residual sticky stuff on your skin, something like GiGi's wax remover will help with that. My skin is so soft and smooth after using this! Normally I have leg stubble about half a day after shaving. It has now been a full 24 hours since I waxed and my legs are still so smooth. I am in love!

*WARNING* TERRIBLE Product!
PLEASE READ ALL the way through!!! I did research on wax for the warmer I was purchasing. This particular one peeked my interest with their advertising and the fact that it contained aloe vera and vitamin E. I tend to have slightly more sensitive skin around the brown area. I have had my eyebrows waxed for years and at times threaded. I have accidentally gotten a tiny "burn" mark from wax being too hot and knows what it feels and looks like. This particular product says it comes with a round lining (mine did not) and to place it in the wax warmer. I could barely get the lid off and wax was EVERYWHERE! There is nothing easy about this product! I got some wax in the warmer on a low temp after I had to use olive oil to get the wax off that covered both my hands. FYI the directions on the bottom of the container are not the same as what is shown on Amazon! It says to put wax in hot water...I'm not a chemist but I know enough that if you put it in hot water to try and melt it to the correct consistency, it must have an extremely low melting point (also, not true for said product). To get to it, I heated the wax, tested the temperature on my skin, and waxed my eyebrows. They were red, felt weird, but I accounted for the fact I was doing this at home. I prepped my brows before hand and used a tiny bit of Cetaphil face lotion after. I woke up the next day and could barely open my eyes! They were swollen and once that went down a bit after a benadryl you could see server burns. So not only do the directions not synchronize but if you look at the ingredients this wax contains the same products used in antifreeze and what is used in tires and soles of shoes. I'm not a crazy organic person but this grossed me out! Don't chance it with this product and let the positive reviews fool you!

This wax works good. I use hard and soft wax. I use this wax for eyebrows and upper lip and under arms. Perfect for sensitive skin. I highly recommend using it.

Finally a gentle wax!
I received this wax 2 days after I ordered it. I was thrilled to see it come so soon because the delivery date showed it would take almost a week! I used the wax not only on myself, but also on my siblings. They have very sensitive skin and they were so excited at how it didn't hurt!! One of my sisters would breakout from being waxed but after using this wax - no pimples! Not only am I pleased with it, but my siblings are too! Love it! I would have given this wax 5 stars but I gave it 4 due to that you have to make sure that the wax is still very warm when you apply it to skin. If it's not warm enough it won't grip and pull hairs as well. At first I found that as I applied the clothe to remove the wax it would just pull the wax like taffy. So make sure it's still fairly warm when applied to skin! The wax is thick enough to be used as a hard wax(applied thickly to skin, then let cool before lifting one edge and pulling off) but I haven't tried it as so yet. I hope this is helpful! If you have any questions please ask! :)

My go-to wax for years, even with sensitive skin!
I’ve been using this wax for almost 12 years now, and that alone says a lot! It lasts a really long time, making it amazing value for the price, especially if you wax regularly at home. I have slightly sensitive skin, and this has actually worked really well for me over the years. The aloe vera formula feels gentler compared to some other waxes I’ve tried, and I haven’t had issues that made me want to switch. Yes, it can get a little sticky during use, but honestly once you know how to work with it, it’s not a big issue at all. My little trick is using coconut oil — it works like a charm! I apply a bit afterward to help remove any leftover wax, and it cleans everything up so easily. You can also add a little oil to the strip or cloth and simply wipe away any mess without hassle. The wax itself works really well, removes hair effectively, and has been a reliable staple in my routine for years. If you’re new to waxing, there may be a small learning curve, but once you figure out what works for you, it’s super easy to use. Definitely a long-time favorite for me!

This is a soft wax
This is a soft wax. Got to this page by searching hard wax, therefore bit disappointed when opened the package and realized I have to buy some strips as well. Apart from that, the product is great. Smell is ok and very easy to apply. Almost painless when used on arms and legs. No dry or irritation on skin so far. This is very sticky when left on skin, so would only recommend for people who are confident enough with their waxing skills, or you will need a hard wash with baby oil, like what I ended up with :D

Absolutely unacceptable and unsafe product
I have been waxing for years and I know exactly what I’m doing, but this wax was a complete nightmare. The texture was extremely questionable — so sticky and greasy that it didn’t even feel like real wax. It wouldn’t come off at all. I took a full shower and it was STILL sticky everywhere. I had to massage my skin with oil for almost an hour and a half, then take another shower just to remove it. That is not normal and honestly feels unsafe. On top of that, my skin broke out in painful red-purple rashes, something I have never experienced in all my years of waxing. The quality is terrible, unsafe, and should not even be sold. This product caused harm to my skin, wasted my time, and put me through a horrible experience. I demand a full refund immediately. I strongly warn everyone to avoid this product completely.

Good wax
This is the best soft wax I’ve found in a while. I do find an unused strip often doesn’t take all the wax off your skin. You need a build up of wax already on the strip to remove all the wax, but that’s common with many waxes, I find. My leg hair is so fine from years of waxing that many other waxes wouldn’t grip the hair enough to remove it and I would have to tweeze A LOT. This wax removed pretty much every hair, I only tweezed 2-3 hairs on each leg.

works well with sensitive skin
i used this on my arms and legs it turned out wonderful, although there were some parts where the wax wouldn’t pick up the hair. Also can get messy but overall i’m happy with the results, hair didn’t grow back for a little bit more than 2 weeks.
