Just what I have been searching for
I have been searching for a long time for a lightweight cover for our bed to use during the summer. We live in NC & have hot summers but do have air-conditioning. I found cotton blankets to be too hot. We happened to stay in a Marriott suite hotel in June and they had this product on the bed and it was absolutely perfect and exactly what Iโve been looking for. After a little detective work with contacting Marriott directly and then the hotel directly I was pointed to Standard Textile Company which manufactures this product. They happen to be out of stock. Then I found it on Amazon and it was actually cheaper and it was in stock. Same product just a different retail source. I ordered it. Itโs absolutely perfect. Itโs just the right weight to give you the right amount of warmth without being hot. I use it in lieu of a blanket. It covers the bed very nicely and has enough drop on the side that it covers the extra high mattress completely. Itโs so easy to launder, itโs just like a bed sheet. You just wash it and dry it and the puckered texture looks nice and I think it must be those little air bubbles in the puckering that gives you that little bit of insulation to keep you warm without making you hot. I canโt say that itโs a good value because I think itโs rather expensive considering itโs a sheet. The king size cost $100. To me thatโs a lot of money for a single sheet. Since I have been looking for years for a product like this I was willing to pay that price to get what I wanted and Iโm very happy with it. I bought the pillow shams so that the bed looks complete. (Edit) - I had to come back & edit my review after reading some of the negative comments. I agree not all people will agree but I wanted to clarify if you haven't seen this coverlet in person. We used one in a Marriott suite hotel & loved it. It has a rippled texture that happens when the coverlet is laundered. I realize some buyers may get a defective product but if you READ the directions upon receipt it instructs you to WASH the cover (or shams) in the hottest water setting & dry on high heat THE FIRST TIME to produce the puckering effect. Mine came out of the package with ripples but I did wash mine as instructed & it did pucker even more. The instructions also say to only wash on high heat the first laundering & then launder like regular laundry after that. This is a fabric blend of 65% polyester & 35% cotton. It is like a regular bed sheet in weight. Some reviews complained it was thin. That is why I like it. It's not heavy. It may be the fabric blend or the texture but for us w/ our AC set at 74 & a ceiling fan on it offers the perfect amount of warmth. As I mentioned above in the initial review, I have tried some cotton blankets & they were hot. This is just right for us....Before I found this item I used a regular flannel sheet on top of my flat sheet for cover. That worked for comfort & warmth but I still had to make the bed w/ my regular comforter. With this bedding as pictured in my photo, I packed away my heavy comforter & I use this coverlet on top of my bed sheets in lieu of a bedspread, quilt, or comforter. I bought the shams to coordinate with it. This coverlet has a nice finished 2" hem on all 4 sides so it has a nice finished look better than a standard hemmed flat sheet.....I have washed it (after initial hot wash) once since buying & I washed on Permanent Press settings & dried on the same. It looks great. I love that it is like a sheet & so easy to launder. My comforters are "dry clean only" so this is great & I can toss it in the washer with my sheets when I change the bed linens.

Exactly as described; very attractive and functional too.
Exactly what I wanted. I have been looking for a lightweight textured, bright white coverlet for my guest room in the summer, to double as a layer rather than a blanket. This is IT! It arrived in its little bag, already nicely textured. I washed and dried it and it came out about the same. I put it on the guest bed and it looks wonderful. Bedspread size now, but they said it would shrink a little (?? we'll find out). It looks like a large seersucker texture, which I have always loved. Now just for a guest to try it out. It is thin, and you can see the blue/green print sheets underneath it showing thru a little bit. I don't care. Just so you know. It's nicely hemmed on all 4 sides, about 1 1/2" hem-- looks totally professional/expensive. At this price it seems quite a good deal. I may or may not get the shams but I wish there were matching pillow cases. It's soft enough to sleep on, I think. (And I'm into softness.)

Great Coverlet!
I love this coverlet, it is well made and looks great. It was packaged nicely, however there were no instructions to get the crinkled look. The first time I washed it, I followed the instructions on the coverlet. I did not quite get the crinkled look I had hoped for. After reading some of the reviews I washed it again, this time in hot water. It came out perfect, exactly what I wanted. It's soft to the touch and easy to care for.

Lightweight cool sleeping with clean look
I was a little hesitant to buy this coverlet because it is a little pricey. I looked everywhere for a less expensive seersucker or plisse cover and honestly, this was the best price. We live in Arizona, and try not to use the A/C whenever possible, so lightweight sheets and covers are a must. This coverlet is very thin - don't think that you are buying a blanket - you're not - it is SHEET THIN - but luckily that is what I wanted! It arrives without a lot of texture, but as soon as you wash and dry it, the puckers show up. Hopefully after a few more washes and dries it will be even better. I actually would like it to shrink a little more, we have it on a standard size queen bed and it hangs to the floor on either corner. It definitely easily covers the whole bed. I think it would be way to big on a full size mattress. It provides cool sleeping and gives a finished look to your bed when you make it. No need to have a blanket or duvet with this over the top sheet. We love it, and you can see from the picture that the cats also approve!

Not Even Close
I would leave a zero if I could. This is nothing like the Marriott coverlet at the hotels, as depicted here. It's an 80/20 mix of mostly polyester and the texture is not 'rippled'. It's slightly dimpled and is cheap in quality and appearance. This is no different than a polyester sheet and definitely not worth more than $9.99. Maybe. . I've returned. An update, Amazon refunded me and let me keep the sheet. So I washed it to see if it's actually 'was activated rippling effect'. It isn't and still just a cheap polyester sheet. Marriott should be ashamed with this falsehood.

Worth the money and still beautiful!
I bought this almost two years ago to use as a "bedspread" for our split king adjustable bed. We live in Florida and I wanted something lightweight and stylish to cover about two-thirds of the bed. I turn it sideways for a little extra length on the sides of the bed. It does not go to the floor, so if you're looking for total coverage, this isn't it. I use it like the hotels do, but don't tuck it in. Follow the directions for the initial washing and drying. I just fold it up a little at night and when I put it back on in the morning, it looks great! It's exactly what I was looking for!

Pretty coverlet
I love these coverlets but theyโre still not the same as the ones in the hotels. The hotel variety doesnโt pill, repels pet hair better, and seems softer. Given all that, I still appreciate these coverlets for the weight ( practically none), size, washability, and texture. Absolutely recommend.

LOVE - but...
I love the look of this coverlet at Marriott hotels but be forewarned - these are NOT consistent in pattern & quality. If you get a good one, they're beautiful. Crisp, clean and contemporary. They drape fully on thick mattresses to cover the edge of the frame and for tucking. Do not buy direct from Marriott online thinking you'll get better quality control, not only do they charge a fortune for shipping - they won't accept returns/exchanges if you even open it! The quality was worse buying direct. The issues with this coverlet are permanent creases right down the middle, lack of "pucker" or half pucker, half flat. Some have tiny puckers, some large. you need to wash and dry to activate the effect. This is supposed to be thin and is meant to go on top of a comforter. *See YouTube for how to make a Marriott bed. Buy the coverlet here from Amazon - the price is much less and returns/exchanges are a breeze. Don't get me started on the Marriott sheets - worst quality ever!

Lightweight and beautiful.
This coverlet is lightweight, washes nicely and doesn't need to be ironed. I love it and will use it all year long. You need to wash it first to activate the ripples. I wish it came in other colours.

Clean and Crisp
These hotel grade linens cannot be beat.

La calidad no es lo que ofrecen.
La textura del material no esta ni cerca de lo que se ve en la foto no lo que le Marriot usa en sus instalaciones.

Light summer bed cover
Good size for queen bed. Hangs just above the floor. I love that itโs so light. Initially seems expensive but really good quality.

It looks exactly like the hotel one
Iโm so happy about the way this looks and feels. As soon as I received it I washed it in Hot water with no detergent and once the cycle was done I put it in the dryer on tumble dry. It came out perfect. The size on my bed is excellent too. Just enough hangs over the sides and front. I really love it.
