Better than expected for the price.
As good as my usual brand, cheaper on subscribe and save. I live a keto lifestyle and this is only 17g net carbs/100g with loads of fibre. It's raw, organic. So no issues there and compared to some excellent brands I've used in the past, this is about 2/3 the carb count and about 1/3 the price. My last brand was only 1 carb/100g less (the lowest I've ever seen) was also excellent, but more expensive than this comparable brand. I use it in Waffles, pancakes, breads, naans, tortillas, cakes etc. and it works fine with everything. I'm going to see if they do almond flour as well.

Great product.
Lovely product. Great for cooking and perfect for thickening dishes as you don't have to cook it like usual flour and can just add a bit to sweet and savoury dishes and sauces if you need to thicken them a bit. Very versatile.

Flour, but not as we know it...
I’ve been making my own oat and nut protein ‘breakfast’ bars recently and wanted a flour-like ingredient I could use for no-bake bars that wouldn’t be cooked. This HSL Organic Coconut Flour was just what I was looking for and it’s worked quite well. It’s not exactly a flour, the name is a bit misleading, because it’s not a straight swap for wheat flour, it isn’t ground as finely and has a significant (but very pleasant) Coconut sweetness. However as a way to bind mixes together and add sweetness without having to add sugar it’s been great.I’m finding that it absorbs a lot of liquid, both when first mixed and again when baked/set, so you might need to increase the amount of liquid you’re adding to your mix to avoid an over-dry end result. The Coconut flavour makes a nice addition to baking and some savoury dishes, like curry, but you need to proceed with caution or it can overpower your dish. I tried some in a Thai-style curry and it added a nice flavour but wasn’t nearly as good as adding proper Thai Coconut milk would be. The 1kg bag seems good value, my local supermarket would charge nearly double this price for the same amount. However the pack suggests using it within 6 months of opening so be sure you need this much when ordering. I’m looking forward to finding, or inventing, other recipes to try it with.
