I have at least 50 different ball-style jars of all sizes in my cabinets or fridge at any time, not to mention fill them with deliciousness for gift giving, so I def have thoughts on this off-Ball brand. Generally speaking they are an affordable option that definitely do the trick. However in a box of 24 you may have a couple lids that don’t quit fit right or in a year’s time start to rust. For me, the price is worth it. Plus you can always buy a batch of the OG Ball lids separately if it comes down to it. And even those lids don’t last forever.

Perfect for gift canning. Beautiful jars.

I received these jars 4 days ago. I was planning to make jam and canning them. My first impressions were that these jars are a good size and looked like some brand name canning jars, just taller. But as I unpacked them, I noticed one of the jars was missing a lid—obvious QC issue. But I thought 19 canning lids out of 20 isn’t that egregious and I wanted to get along on the project so I ran them through the dishwasher for an initial wash. I went to go sterilize the jars with some hot water and noticed one with an obvious curved crack near the bottom. I set that aside thinking maybe it tapped against the side of the pot without me noticing. Then I noticed several more that had similar shaped cracks, all near the bottom. So I went to the box where I put the jars I took out of the dishwasher. And EVERY SINGLE JAR HAD A CRACK along the bottom. THESE ARE NOT CANNING JARS. These will not handle any level of heat, and may break in your dishwasher. Unless you’re using them to just hold some pens or dry goods and won’t ever be washing them in warm/hot water, THESE ARE GARBAGE. I’ll be going to a regular store to buy Ball jars tomorrow. Needless to say, I’m returning them.

The top of these jars are narrower than the same size Ball jars. Therefore, Ball replacement lids do not fit!

I love these so much. They're so pretty and I love that they're taller and thinner I can fit so many more in my cabinet and honestly since I got them I have reorganized my cabinets I've taken things out of packages and put them in these vessels along with labels and I have saved so much space it's so awesome

Jars are fine, Not impressed with lids and rings. In both batches, I had rings come loose during the hot water bath processing. That made a big mess. Jars themselves seem to be fine. My suggestion is if you buy these make sure you change out the rings!
