3 weeks in and it’s still working!!! Or at least it seems to be. For $10 I can’t complain. It’s given me another 3 weeks on my 10 year old fridge so far. Hopefully it will last another 10 years.

I have GE Profile refrigrator and about a year ago its defrost heater was broken and I searched and bought WR51X10055 from a 4.5 star review place from Amazon. And I installed it and it worked about 10 months until last month. It was not an OEM one but an $18 piece. It has stopped working (burned out) so I had to shop again. I really give a lot of thought for buying an OEM one which GE sells it here as well and it is around $50. But when I read reviews about it, it seems it does not work longer than the imitation ones. They are made in Asia anyway even GE ones. So, I choose three 4-5 stars ones and bought them and use this one for now. It works! Hopefully it will stay a little longer. If not at least I have the extras and put them if necessary. I am used to deinstall the defroster anyway. Only problem is taken off the food from the freezer.

Bought this for my GE Profile Arctica refrigerator's freezer, after the previous heater failed due to burned-out wiring that melted the wiring clip into the heater's receptacle. This was highly rated and competitively priced. I used YT videos to learn how to disassemble the freezer and replace the heater. (I bought a replacement wiring harness at the same time, which came equipped with thermistor and thermostat.) After a month, with the replaced parts the freezer is performing better than it has in years.

Thanks for the part guys it was exactly what I needed. The repair man was going to charge me $300, you really saved my week, and the life of my fridge.

This product only worked for 7 months. I ordered another one. Hopefully this one lasts longer. I will revisit my review after I see a little more dependability.
