Gibson Gear AIGG-925 Standard Polish Cloth

I like the material of these cloths very soft. I don’t want to scratch any of my good guitars. I have one of these in each case small investment for a good product.

What can anyone say about a cloth. Well, I will give you as much information as is possible as well as tell you how this simple, but endearing, Gibson Gear Polish Cloth performed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First, The Useful Statistics: (Almost everyone loves stats, even musicians.) ---- Unfolded > Width: 11 inches > Length: 14 inches ----- Folded > Width: 3-1/2 inches > Length: 5 inches ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now For The Review: It works real good. What can I say. It appears to be an untreated 100% cotton cloth but I will take Gibson's word for it since there is nothing on the packaging that indicates it's purity. I can say that it feels soft to the touch and does not leave any marks on my Gibson guitars. I bought two of the Polish Cloths and have seen no marks left behind. It is one thing to bang up your guitar up when you are gigging (That's called 'Character') but another when you are trying to maintain it (That's called, "Oops"). The cloth is a yellowy color (Yes, I wrote yellowy) and has the trademark 'Gibson' in the right hand corner of the cloth when unfolded. When folded properly the Gibson trademark is ever present in the center of the cloth. (Those darn marketing people are so clever.) That is, considering you store your cloth trademark-up when placing it back in your plastic bag. OR. Heck just throw it into the accessory section of your case of what ever instrument you play. Throw caution to the wind. The cloth has a simply stitched 1/8 inch border edging and is easy to refold if you have a mind, or even half a mind, to do so. Go for it, it is real easy. Really. A lot easier than those darn paper maps from the olden days. Anyway, there it is, lock, stock and Polish cloth for your perusal and use. May you make the best music with your instrument...and try to keep it clean, okay folks? Soft cloth, great for polishing all my guitars. Unfortunately, I purchased when it was rather expensive on Amazon- it has since fluctuated to a much lower price. Other than the dissatisfaction with the price, this is a nice cloth.

Very nice cloths for polishing guitars. I dedicate one of these cloths for only applying Gibson Guitar Polish ( and I keep in in a dedicated sealed bag ) and I use a separate Gibson Gear Polish Cloth for removal of polish and final buffing of finish ( keeping this 2nd cloth in its own bag as well ) And each guitar has its own pair. I have been involved in the automotive refinishing industry for 30+ years so I feel like I "know" polishing cloths lol. I recommend this.

Neither good nor bad, I suppose. I have since searched and discovered "fuzzless" (my description) microfiber cloths that I feel surpass the performance capabilities of this seemingly plain-old rag. Frankly, I've cut up better cotton t-shirts. Maybe I'll relegate it's uses to more of the dirty work just to utilize it - yeah, probably string cleaning.... Well, either way, it's not like it broke the bank. For what it's worth (subjective, for sure), I hope my review helps. If nothing else, you can buy something cheap with the name Gibson on it! B^} ..... Put it on a flag pole and wave it like you just don't care! WOO HOO!! YEEEEEEE-HAWW!!!!.......... sorry, got a little carried away. now I'm really embarrassed. :)

Works a expected, logo is not a problem. Other cloths I have owned the logo crumbled off, and left particles on instruments.

Essential for maintaining your guitar. Use it with the Polish.

Awesome. Is it just a thin yellow piece of cotton with the word Gibson printed on it? Yes. And that's all it is. Is it NUTS to pay 5 dollars for a piece of flimsy yellow cloth that is probably worth a fraction of a penny in material costs? Yes! But if you have a vintage Gibson guitar and you are in love with it and you just want to be with it and touch it and play it all the time but you can't take it to work and your girlfriend won't let you sleep with it in the bed, then you appreciate the little joys in life, like looking at your guitar on the stand with a yellow Gibson polishing cloth draped over it. I think I'm going to get ANOTHER one!

Ich hab es gekauft, um die Gitarre nach dem Spielen abzuwischen und Staub runter zu putzen, wenn sie mal länger einsam rumsteht. Genau dafür funktioniert es auch gut. Keine Ahnung, wie es mit Poliermitteln ist, dafür habe ich einen Leinenlappen. Meine Empfehlung, einfach alten Kopfkissenbezug, das geht für sowas viel besser. Dieses Teil ist eher wie ein Staubtuch, saugt auch viel auf und ist eher dünn, daher würde ich es v.a. trotcken verwenden oder z.B. um Schweiß vom Griffbrett und Saiten zu wischen. Es fusselt aber zum Glück nicht.

In India you can find this kind of clothes in every house, that they use for regular cleaning purpose (used Khadi clothes). Don’t get cheated by reading international reviews. It’s not for us

I bought this as a gift for my dad, so I haven't actually used it myself. Having said this, when it arrived it was well packaged and looked good quality. The embroidered Gibson logo was well made and looked great. There isn't really much more I can say about it, apart from my dad is really pleased with it and still has it 2 months later, so it must be a good product to use! Good price for it as well!
