Frenchi Furniture Wood Coat/Hat Rack Stand in Oak Finish

I needed a good sturdy coat rack and found this one. Actually fond it on another site but searched Amazon and found a better buy, It is sturdy, I have a really thick heavy leather coat and didn't want a coat rack that tipped over. That was the 1st coat I threw on there and the rack just laughed at it. I piled on the other leather coat, a jean jacket, a hoodie, and a few other items. I held up and balanced well. Just what I expected. 5 stars does not come cheap with me. I would buy this one again and recommend it to anyone looking for a coat rack. As far as assembly. It took 3 plays in the Packer game for me to get this thing together, It took longer to unpack than put together, Just put the peg in the hole. Slip the screw through the other hole. Then pull the leg back a tad until you can see the started hole. Push the screw into the started hole and tighten it. Takes less than 5 minutes.

This coat rack was purchased to replace a previous model of the same item purchased from Amazon 7 years ago. Replacement was necessary because seven winters of supporting heavy coats finally caused a couple of the hanger pegs to crack along the stress point where they meet the center pole. Given how inexpensive this product was, I consider it to have given appropriate value for the money. The current model of the rack has identical construction of the hanger pegs so I anticipate it will be equally durable. This model, however, does appear to have been made a bit more on the cheap. The differences are purely in appearance. First, the stain on the three pieces that form the base is not the same shade as the stain on the pole and pegs. The colors are not wildly different, but the discrepancy is definitely noticeable. Second, unlike the original model, in which the base legs slid into slots on the bottom of the pole and were secured by screwing a finial into the base of the pole, these legs attach to the pole with woodscrews that are deeply countersunk. Typically inexpensive furniture that assembles this way includes small wood buttons that press into the countersunk area to mask the holes. These items are lacking. And, no, they were not omitted in error; they don't appear among the parts listed on the assembly instruction sheet. Assembly is super easy and requires only a Phillips head screwdriver. Recommended to anyone looking for a very inexpensive yet functional and reasonably durable coat rack. Just be aware that the cheesy aspects of the rack's appearance might make it unsuitable for placement as a prominent part of one's décor.

I purchased this Oak Finish Wood Hall Tree as a way to keep our "dog-walking" outerwear coralled in the corner of our kitchen. The coat tree didn't need to be fancy, just pracitcal, but I was taken aback by the exorbitant price tags for most of the coat trees/racks. After reading both positive and negative reviews of this model, I decided to go for it and I am not disappointed that I did. All of the parts were included and it was quite easy to put together. It fits nicely in a corner of the kitchen and blends in pretty well with our wood kitchen table and chairs. I have to agree with some of the other reveiwers that this model is not the most stable tree I've ever used, but it only tips if I overload one side. Our large dog can swish by the tree/rack and it stands firm. I own a much sturdier metal tree in the bedroom, but it had a much sturdier price tag, as well! I would recommend this Wood Hall Tree to anyone who doesn't have a lot of heavy items to hang, and who doesn't need to have the latest elegant decor. It does its job just fine.

I am extremely happy with my purchase of this rack. I am a young adult and am buying things with spare money that will make my home more appealing to guests as well as myself. I also need to get use out of the products and this is one of those cases. It is placed right near my front door for a quick easy grab of my light jacket or hat as I'm heading out the door, usually late to class or work :) it is extremely stylish for the small amount of money I paid for it. It arrived quicker than expected, leaving me with a strong feeling of excitement. It was so easy to assemble and was up within 2-3 minutes after receiving it. Anyone can assemble this. Amazon.com made sure my product arrived in perfect condition as well. The color of this hat rack is also appealing. None of my friends have one and I couldn't find it in any stores, including my neighborhood Walmart. The price is outstanding, and being a first time user of this site and 'wingin it', in choosing to make my first online order, I couldn't be happier. My second product I've purchased online is en route. Makes things much easier, and I wasted no gas.Billy

This is a great coat rack! Easy to put together, sturdy and very affordable. I looked at a LOT of coat racks that ranged from inexpensive to very pricey. Then I found this one at a very inexpensive price and I couldn't be happier! It was just perfect for my mudroom. Love the style and it works great. I have at least 5 coats on it now and it's holding all of them beautifully!

It’s hard to find too much to say about this. It’s coat rack. I have a number of coats, hats, and reusable shopping bags on it and it’s more than adequate for my needs. You’re not going to get a ton of stuff on this if you have a big family but there are sufficient pegs. The only fault was with the assembly. You have to be sure the screws and holes are aligned properly. I missed the first one but caught it and started over when I realized I wasn’t in properly.

this stand is relatively light weight and easy to put together my 12 year old son did it.. there are many other reviews regarding this item and i would say for the most part they are accurate.... i have a coat closet but its far away from the entry ... so i wanted something unobtrusive that went with the decor... it is made of a light weight wood... the pieces are not exactly level and so as many others have said it will fall over... i dont have that problem because knowing that i make sure that there is a balance in the weight of the items put on the rack.... i have been through two heavy coat seasons now with no failures... but it could happen if you arent mindful of the weights you are putting on it... so for me worth the price

These are so costly when you buy in the market. But this did the job which little money. I hand 4 big heavy jackets and couple of coats as well. Was very easy to assemble.
