Totally worth the money/investment.
I used to be a total Windows/Android fan for many years, and then 3 years ago, I switched to iPhone and Macbook Pro, and totally love them, and I can't go back to using Windows for anything anymore. I have never had a good experiences with the windows machine, partially because, in my opinion, Windows OS sucks so hard and can't do my jobs as smoothly as macBooks can (at least for my line of work). I was skeptical about the Machine because this was the first time I decided to purchase a decent enough Windows machine with good specs. This was my second machine that I purchased within the last week (bought Razer Blade 15 first but there was a loose part in the body and the machine's battery would not charge and therefore lost power after 3 hours of use). After doing some more research, my eye landed on this one. I returned the Razer Blade 15 and then got this one after several hours of research. When I received this machine, I was surprised to know that the machine build was pretty good. Though it feels like a mixture of plastic and steel, it is a solid build nonetheless, in my opinion. Pros: - Boots up very fast, within maybe several seconds - Very fast overall. - Gaming experiences is very smooth, great graphics and control is very sleek (thanks for 144 Hz frequency). - Killer Function that can work seamlessly with both ethernet and wireless at the same time. - Many Ventilations - no fear of overheat - Relatively thin, given its class and the power within - Many ports - this is very important to me. - Fans do get noticeably loud, but I can live with it because the gaming experiences is what I care about the most. Con: - not at this point

Couple weeks in, Very happy
scoured the internet for a laptop that would do 3d modelling and game development in unity. This thing is great for blender, and so far everthing else. Was looking at the helios 300, the razer blade, and all the rest. Between reviews, specs and price this thing came out on top. Only immediate downside to this laptop are the gamer aesthetics on the lid, which you cant turn off due to it being the light shining through from your display. But once you peel all of the stickers off and buy some black vinyl and a sticker to cover up the hideous glowing "predator" logo, you can actually be an adult in public with this thing, getting things done. Havnt done anything that could be considered real gaming on it, but for everything thus far I've thrown at it for the past 2 weeks its been great. The battery life is better than average for a gaming laptop, but if you research it at all you'll find it is relatively low in general due to the specs in this or any real gaming laptop. RTX 2060 works great for blender and doesn't slow anything down, and from a 3d modelling standpoint should future proof you for a bit as the ray tracing and other fancy hoo haas get more implementation for non gaming usage in the future. The screen is just fantastic. Could be brighter in high light situations but hasnt bothered me yet. Most of the time I keep it in battery saving mode and for all but the most in demand digital sculpting tasks it flies. As far as fan noise, even when you put this thing in "turbo" (which is awesome they have it linked to a single button press) it is not that loud. In a quiet room, yes you hear it a bit but in everyday usage it is fine. Regular non turbo fan noise is no big deal, on the quiet side even. As I type this it is dead silent. Mind you if you were putting it through playing the highest demand games maybe it would be a bit more brutal on the internals and the fan would kick in like crazy. Hasnt gotten hot to the touch at all, maybe a little warm. All in all very happy with the investment. Will update if anything fails, but for the moment all is great and would highly recommend. I went with the rtx 2060 and 512 gb version, as well as the 144hz screen, and have no regrets.

I'd say it's probably one of the best thin and light laptop there is.
After returning two defective Aero 15s, I decided to try the Triton 500, and I'm pretty happy with it. Pros: 1. Runs pretty quiet for a thin and light gaming laptop. Don't get me wrong, this class of laptops ALL get really loud under heavy load, so putting on your headphones while gaming is pretty much a must. But this one is quiet in several ways: (1) The Predator sense software allows you to turn off your fans completely. This is extremely helpful when you're in a quiet environment and only want to do some web browsing. (2) Apart from the noise level, the fans doesn't ramp up and down as frequently as the ones in Aero 15 do, and fans don't have a clutching noise when they turn on. (3) The pitch of the fans are normal and you don't hear the high pitch "turbo whine". Having no high pitch noise sounds way better given the same dB level. 2. Very very good keyboard. Although there's no numpad, the tactile feedback is way better than the keyboard on the Aero 15. 3. Good 144Hz screen with good brightness and response time. 4. Decent ~84 WHr battery provides a few hours of unplugged (non-gaming) usage. Cons: 1. Build quality could be better. As shown in the pictures, the right side of the trackpad is about 1mm sunken. It doesn't hurt the look much but when you put your finger on the right of the trackpad you could feel the sharp edge of the chrome plated part of the chassis. I guess I could have gotten a replacement because this should be a minor defect but I just don't want to go through the trouble again. 2. An inverted motherboard means that you pretty much can't upgrade your RAM or SSD. 3. No per-key RGB control. I honestly couldn't care less about this. It's listed as a con here just because I know some gamers would see this as a deal breaker. 4. No SD card reader. An integrated SD card reader would be nice, but since I already carry a 5kg camera bag, packing a usb card reader isn't much more effort.

Amazing purchase - just needs to come down in price
paid around $1800 for this at time of purchase. Great laptop and solid construction. Speakers are loud and machine is fast, plays the new Call of Duty without breaking a sweat. My only gripe at all is this weird clicking noise when the charger is plugged in and I spin the adapter that goes in the side. Seems to have no effect on the charge and it's just an audible thing if I spin the connector to adjust it when I move it in my lap. Overall I'd buy this thing again, it's slick, light for a gaming laptop, and the battery life lasts me about 8 hours of normal browsing/shopping/word/email/youtube. I get a ton of compliments on this thing, the only thing I'd wish I had was more support for skins/wraps/screen protectors. I was hoping to just find some but at the time I looked a month ago. Ohwell.

Poor Charger/Port
The first thing I noticed when it arrived a bit over a year ago was that the charging port was not very secure, the charging cable could wiggle around a bit. I don't frequently plug/unplug my laptop or put the charger cord in any risky positions, so I figured it'd be alright. A bit under a year later, the laptop started to not charge properly. I noticed the charger was less secure than even before, and the direction the charger was plugged in from or how fully inserted it was changed whether or not it actually decided to charge. Careful repositioning temporarily fixed things but of course, it eventually just stopped charging at all. The laptop has great performance and cooling for gaming or any other purpose, but there's no point if it no longer charges, within such a short lifetime.

Very solid
Have had this laptop for a month now and have used it at least a couple hours a day everyday since and I am very happy with it. Nice design with great specs, some reviews online made me think there might be a lot of flex in the keyboard but there is hardly any at all. For any gamers when playing league I get 20ping and have 180-200 fps. I would totally recommend this to anyone who's looking for a lightweight gaming laptop, with great thermals and having had had no reliability issues. If there's one thing to improve on that would be battery life but its not bad, just not really great like you would find on a macbook pro for example. Also people complain about fan noise and I'll be playing classic all night next to my significant other and have never had a complaint and I genuinely feel its not loud at all and has been blown way out of proportion just like flex in the keyboard.

Crashes to blue screen with WHEA_UNRECOVERABLE_ERROR
Crashes to blue screen with WHEA_UNRECOVERABLE_ERROR when I try to play games. Have to ship to the Acer support site in TX now (after paying $1600) and wait for a month! Does Acer even test these things? :/ The whole experience is just horrible..

Good mid-grade gaming laptop with some annoyances
CPU: i7-9750H GPU: RTX 2060 16GB RAM 512GB SSD This is a good gaming laptop from my experience so far, but there are some minor things that bug me that I want others to know about as I didn't find any similar complaints when I was researching this laptop. My cons: Coil whine - definitely noticeable and could get annoying if you are sensitive to the noise. Fan noise - As with almost all gaming laptops, it gets loud. It's inevitable, but I've seen/heard worse. Screen - Big one for me is the atrocious backlight bleed. I think this is pretty common for the laptop, but annoying no less. Customizeability - Another poor mark. The flipped motherboard is a pain in the a** to upgrade. Added an additional NVME and it took way longer than it should have. If you are thinking about upgrading this anytime in the future, look for a better laptop. BIOS - It should be criminal to sell laptops with a BIOS as pathetic as this one. There are hardly any options for CPU, GPU, fan, or memory tweaking. All of it has to occur in the Windows 10 OS with Acer's crappy bloatware. Why can't I set up my undervolting in the BIOS??? OS compatibility- I dual boot all of my systems with Windows 10 and some Linux Distro (hence the extra nvme) and this laptop was a pain to get working. Due to the horrible BIOS and some weird default configurations, it took forever to get Pop!_OS installed properly. GPU- Not really a con, just a warning. If you're getting this config for the RTX, don't. RTX is useless on this base model 2060 and you'd get better performance out of a 1660 Ti or 1070. Color scheme - The laptops color scheme with the tacky blue is honestly disgusting. Thankfully they have the RGB keyboard which you can use to mask the ugly WASD and arrow keys. B L O A T - Default Windows 10 installation has more bloat than a roadkilled deer in a southern Louisiana summer after 3 weeks. Just nuke the whole thing as soon as it's powered on and install only what you need from the driver pages. Pros: Battery is decent for a gaming laptop, maybe could have used a slightly higher 90Wh or 99Wh battery. Optimus Config: ALWAYS get a laptop with a MUX switch for the iGPU and dGPU. This laptop has it, and it significantly reduces input lag. This was the main reason I went with this laptop instead of the Asus Zephyrus G14. Display: 144Hz display is great for gaming, and the lack of GSync isn't really an issue with the high refresh rate. Keyboard: Keyboard is nice to type on, I do miss the dedicated number pad though. TL;DR: Good laptop for the price, decent build quality and honest performance. BIOS and other customizeability options are practically non-existent.

Perfect for running high quality games on max settings.
Just a perfect gaming laptop. Not without its bugs, it is an Acer, and I had to send mine back into the store second or third week because THE BATTERY CHARGER PORT BROKE!!! But other than that itโs worked fine and preformed EXCELLENTLY when running high quality games at max settings with no need for turbo.

Just perfect.
Was undervolted by -0.1V when arrived with Cinebench R20 score of ~2,400. Able to further undervolt to -0.165V for ~10% increase in Cinebench R20 score to ~2,600. Needed to use ThrottleStop to undervolt as Intel XTU's settings would not stick. Didn't see any difference in Cinebench R20 score with Turbo on or off.

Overall performance, build, and issues review
Amazing laptop for gaming, performs really well and has great cooling. The build is good and sturdy, but it tends to very easily get fingerprints that aren't too easy to Clean. Although it does have a decent amount of flaws as well which I'm not sure how to fix: Acer problems, big to small:possibly all software issues alongside drivers Headphone jack doesn't properly work, turns on the camera with no audio being heard Sometimes the audio will start cracking TURBO light goes on by itself sometimes with turbo not being active, and than you can't turn it off either and the only way to do so is to go to predator sense and manually press auto to fix it Has some backlight bleed on the left topside of the screen which is hardly noticeable, and only affects you if your watching something with a black background. Randomly will say turbo mode is off when turbo was never on and the fans weren't running When you have a video on full-screen and you go away for a bit so the screen goes inactive it'll take a while for the screen to turn back on, but the audio will keep playin Overall I really love this laptop and I believe it greatly outweighs, totally reccomend if you can afford it without any compromise! 4/5
