I am an executive pastry chef. I decided to to write this after I read the reviews. There are many vanilla plants worldwide. There flavors depending on the local climate, soil, water and the tree forests they grow in. I am no expert, but when friends ask what they can bring me from world wide travels I always say vanilla. This reminds me of the Caribbean islands vanilla. I use it for stabilized whipped cream for my garnishes. It has a slight taste of coconut which to me is very exotic, great with citrus. It is our house whipped cream. I also use it for shortbreads and some scones dough. But I would not hesitate to use it any baking or unbaked desserts. This is a bargain take a step out side the box and try it.
