God’s Answers to Life’s Difficult Questions

Mainly what Rick Warren thinks are God's answers to life's difficult questions are to live a life that God reigns supreme and that God will step into your life (provided that you know you need Him), and with this your faith, God will lead and guide you through the difficult situations into the most correct path. This is because God wants you to be you that He created, and He has a plan for each of you individually. Attaining the goal of God's plan is good for both being your best that you want to be and being what God truly wants. First of all, the Rick Warren's style of writing is simple and clear, practical yet with deep thoughts. He likes to divide the subject into steps. For example, about his simplicity and clarity: How to live life above average, you need three things i.e., a) great ambition, b) growing faith in God, c) genuine prayer life. His thoughts are deep yet highly adaptable. (His adaptability makes the writing too easy for me sometimes.) For example, the three anchors for life in a crisis, that is, the three realizations of God's Presence, God's Purpose, and God's Promise. The last point about his writing, Rick Warren likes to talk about human nature and its mistakes with great, insightful commonsense. For example, he talks about three traps that are the common ways we bring troubles on ourselves. • We don't learn from our mistakes. • We don't choose our friends. • We don't take God seriously. As he goes, he tells the stories of the selected people in the Bible, their triumphs, their falls, their frailties and follies, their turnings to the Lord. I find that interesting but am unable to understand why going by the Bible is most comprehensive and most correct. Some few good sentences: "Meekness is an attitude of quiet confidence, of inner quality, and peace of mind." PP. 79-80 "No one can ruin your life except you!" P. 86 "Anchor yourself on the truths of God and pray for daylight." P. 135 "What should we do when we are tempted to be bitter? Turn it over to the Lord." P. 188

This book is incredible! Rick knows how to put Bible speak into everyday speak -simplifies. By doing so, this helped me really 'get it', and I've been able to truly trust and give it all to God. I've been faithful all my life, but struggled with giving it up to Gods 100%. With this book I was able to clearly understand and release so many things from my mind and heart! This is a wonderful book, answering life's most difficult questions backed up with verses from the Bible. Pastor Rick Warren explains the most simple to the most difficult questions everyone has today with ease and sincerity. It's a must have in my library and will read it again. It's very affordable and I'm ordering more for friends and family. Another plus....I not only received it in a timely manner, but enclosed was a beautiful note from the seller, Becky, with a handmade bookmark. I have really enjoyed reading and studying Rick Warren's book. He approaches what seems to be complicated spiritual and life situations, and gives practical answers and ways to approach life. He also addresses the spiritual principles with common sense and guidance. I have been a Christian for many years, but still found the book helpful and enjoyable to read.

I bought this book to read for myself but days after receiving it my son made an attempt of his life. He was placed in a mental health facility and was in a very dark place. They allowed patients to receive outside reading material, so I brought him this book. This book turned his life around. He read through it and highlighted the parts that resonated with him and also shared it in his group sessions. He said all of those in his group loved the way this book helped related to them and uplifted them. This book is an absolute MUST READ for anyone who suffers from depression and anxiety. A true life saver!!

It is a well written book Covers life experiences with biblical references. It’s a good book for setting life, goals, and standards.

Rick Warren always shares God's truths in a way that is not only easy to understand, but also very relatable. Reading this book, I almost felt like he was sharing these truths with me over a cup of coffee.

I like the way Rick presented the situation, explained it and give practical steps to apply it to my daily life. It encourages me to continue to grow and believe in God and Jesus Cnrist. I highly recommend the book for those people who seems to be lost and have questions about life and our connection to God.

Rick Warren has the gift of giving you enough depth without overpowering you. Each chapter deals with a different ' question' - some might not be relevant to your need but are still thought provoking. A book you can dip into and revisit many times. It is not a scientific or medical approach but one which draws us back to God's plan for the way we should live and His care for us. It shows us that God is concerned with all our 'Questions'. It met my husband's need when he was suddenly hospitalised and looking for a way forward - with very real questions about changes he needed to make in his life. It helped me too to see how God views things with fresh eyes.
