perfect for school lunches
We LOVE these containers. We use them every day. We use them for school lunches or when we need to have a meal in the van. (we call those van dinners) Each kid gets their sandwich and a side and then they can put their water or their juice box in the other little section and then they get a back of something crunchy. An entire sandwich fits in the big part. They are easy to open (kids 5,7,8 can all open without help) They do rip in the middle area after a while - The kids open them from the end and then pull back towards the smaller sections and because those are pushed to seal the lid takes a beating. I love that they are dishwasher safe and cheap enough to replace after 6 ish months. They also hold yogurt! (we do train our kids to be sure when they put their lunch box in their locker that it is face up so that its not hanging on the side all day) (these also fit in their lunch boxes - we buy lunch boxes around these containers!)

On sale for $16!!!
I use these for my strawberry freezer jam. I've purchased them before and I thought the price was fair. But this time I got them for $16! I'm so happy! I bought two boxes this time. They are perfect for freezer jam. they stack nicely, and hold just the right amount. [FREEZER JAM RECIPE!: Mix 1 pkg of mrs wages freezer jam no cook pectin with 1 1/2 cups sugar (or splenda blend for sugar free), then add to 4 cups of crushed fruit. Can be fresh or frozen. Mix together thoroughly, then put into containers and put lids on. Let sit for 30 mins to set then put into freezer.] I've made strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry jams like this and used these containers. Great for giving out to friends. And you can reuse them.

Don’t look as sturdy as they looked
They are ok a little thin like

Sturdy!!!
Not thin plastic. These will take some abuse. Sealing takes some effort, as the lids fit tight. Leakproof? I havent dropped one yet to test it. They hold a very decent amount of food. The inside leaks! What is in one compartnent will leak over to another when tiped or jostled. Overall, a very nice set. Will get more in the future. 😁

This is supposed to be progress? Go back to the old design!
I have the old version of these 3-cup containers and thus ordered more from Amazon. Lo and Behold, Ziplock changed the design for the worse! The old version was a smaller rectangular shape seen from the top but taller. These are the problems with this new design: 1. The larger dimensions are similar to the larger 5-cup Glad brand containers so it's easy to get the lids confused! With the old version, the lids were significantly smaller. In addition, the height of the 3-cup version was 3" high and the 5-cup container was 5" tall so it was easy to differentiate between the two, to say nothing about confusing which lid is which. 2. For this new design, you press the center of the lid to close it. But the new version is shallower so usually you have food inside and cannot press the lid down in the center! Go back to the deep design rather than this lousy shallow design. 3. As others have mentioned, it is hard to remove the lids. Sometimes it feels you have to tear the corner of the lid off before the lid comes off. In addition, to cut costs, the containers are now made of material half the thickness of the old containers, so it's not surprising some reviewers have torn the lids when trying to remove them. Update: I lucked out and found an old stash of Ziplock containers I bought >5 years ago, Woot! At least I have 7 extra of the tall 5-cup and short 3-cup containers, the latter of which I like a lot. These were combo packs I bought at Costco. It's a sad state of affairs when you have to rummage around for discontinued stuff you had lying around for years . . . Ziplock should go back to the old design, which was a smaller rectangular size with a shallower height so you don't confuse them with the larger containers, which look almost the same.

Excellent for dieting
I love these ziploc brand divided containers for several reasons. They're excellent for storing low calorie snacks for those afternoon snack attacks. When prepared ahead of time, takes the stress out of eating wisely when away from home, just toss one in your tote bag or backpack and you've got a healthy lunch or snack on the road! They're clear so it's easy to see the contents. They nest inside each other for easy organizing not in use. Excellent for kids lunches, sectioned compartments keep foods separate preventing it from mixing together, great for keeping dip and cut veggies separate, top rack dishwasher safe. They're a little bit flimsy construction, hopefully will last long as long as I handwash only. I think dishwasher will warp these over time.

Cheap but Reliable
I got these containers for my lunch which I like at room temperature. They hold up well and stay locked together even when tumbled around a bit. I also appreciate how the lids stack together neatly allowing for easy storage. There isn’t really any insulation, and the plastic is pretty thin, but I haven’t had issues with them breaking. They’re pretty easy to clear and dishwasher safe, but the lids seem to slightly warp after the heat. That being said, the warpage only affects how it looks, it still fits snug to the base. I’ve also noticed they seem to have more water stains on them compared to my ceramic dishware, but once again this doesn’t have an effect on the function. Overall, this is great for food storage on a budget if all you care about is function.
