Love Stride Rite
Super cute shoe - it was my toddler's first real one! We liked that it had the look of laces with the ease of velcro. It fit true to size, but his foot grew so fast that we barely had time to break it in! Buying Stride Rite on Amazon is a great secret, too, if you can convince your kid to let you measure their foot - much lower prices and none of the insanity of the store (do all toddlers despise shoe shopping? I feel like a Martian visiting an American mall would assume that kid's shoe stores are places of extreme torture . . .).

So cute
these shoes are so cute on my 15 month old. They look great with khaki's and jeans. He has no trouble walking in them at all and they feel really sturdy.

These were the first real sneakers I got our son. He seemed to love them and would wear them all day long at day care. They're very cute and have held up. Easy on off and the velcro closure stays secure. I intend to clean them up and save them for our younger boy!

If you've done the reading and are lost, looking for a nice zero drop shoe with a flexible sole and wide toe box for your kids so as not to permanently screw up their feet, Stride Rite's SRT sub-brand stuff is a godsend. Everything fits as expected, and I can rest assured that not only will my son learn how to run/walk comfortably, but they'll do so without ruining their natural stride, or making their toes grow funny.

The top is too flat...
I really want to like these shoes. They are so cute, well made. But the top of the shoes is too flat. The opening is too small. Very difficult to get the feet in and out. My 14 months old has big feet, I order wide (5w). But they just don't work for his feet. This is the second pairs I ordered and returned....they both have the same problem...

Cute but tough to get feet in
I heard great things about stride rite shoes but I think the model is not right for my 16 mo. old son. I have a hard time getting his feet in it. I think the soles are too rigid as well. It looks cute though.
