Revell 04992 U.S.S. Voyager 1:670 Scale Unbuilt/Unpainted Plastic Model Kit

This was fun to build. Altho the package arrived looking like it was drug a cross Death Valley fire trails the contents were not damaged in any way. Please pay special attention and study the instructions. Issued by Revell Germany they are multi-lingual so take your time. Further, don’t hesitate to see what the internet has to offer on building tips. A few notes. As you will see in my video I chose to light it. Amazon may carry these kits I used TenaControls stuff, a simple airplane kit will do. The windows are not made for lighting.someone 20 years younger and 20 points higher iq than I an is needed to open em up. The nacelles will move up or down (careful with the glue here! ) but wiring left me with them Down. The stand for it is an absolute disgrace. It sways like a leaf in the wind. Horrid. This model is not equipped for landing struts. I’m gonna see what I can do. This model is worth your money and time.lets go voyaging, shall we?

I finally got around to building thus model kit after purchasing It almost 2 years ago and man, It did not disappoint. There's definitely a learning curve when it comes to building these incredibly detailed model kits. But when you apply the time and do plenty of research you can pull off something quite remarkable. Definitely worth the purchase if you're a big Star Trek fan like myself. Happy anniversary Star Trek Voyager

Parts fit together well. Ample room inside to add a lighting effect. Decals are very small and fragile.

This is an absolute bargain compared to the older production run of the same Voyager kit sold on ebay. This also features the opentable shuttle bay door with a shuttle. That was a feature only the special edition of the older production had. Also included is a gorgeous color detailed instruction book great for painting as u build. The updated box art design is very contemporary/modern & is nice enough to keep and display next to the model. Tons of value here, what a great modern update to a classic model kit.

Box was all smashed up though the product inside seems okay...very poor handling

I built this kit previously, as kit number 04801, when it was priced at £16.99. It has since been re-boxed and re-priced, to more than £90.00. This kit, number 04992, contains exactly the same sprues, parts and decals as the more expensive kit but, with a new style, coloured instruction sheet. This is a good model of the USS Voyager, from the Star Trek "Voyager" TV Series. The detail is quite good and the decal sheet makes for a well detailed model. With just 69 parts, the kit can very easily lull the builder into thinking it will be an easy build. However, be warned, the shaped parts can be difficult to place! Especially the clear plastic parts. Care is needed as you build this kit, if you don't want it to be spoiled by parts that move before the cement sets. The decal set requires patience as most are tiny but, they do give the completed kit a really detailed finish. For fans of the Star Trek Voyager series, this is a very good kit.
