Going to use this on my dog, do I need to give him a bath first?   Will use the sponge method on him since it appears to have worked for most.

After diluting it, can i also rub some in my dogs ears? She has mange in her ears as well.

Use a q tip, don't let it drip into the ear because it's poison  and will get in her bloodstream and could paralyze her or kill her. Put it in ears but if it's too wet or drippy, wipe it off. Repeat that. Once it touches skin, it's on there so wipe excess. Put most of it outside. Buy the shampoo I bought and rub that inside ears with paper towel, then wipe off. Don't lather it. You do NOT want that dripping in ears either. Anything that goes in ears goes straight into the brain. Be really careful inside ears. Wipe it off right away and just repeat daily. It takes a week or 2 but the mange dies a little bit every day. You repeat to kill new hatch. And to kill eggs. So that's why it takes couple weeks. My dog was cured and it never came back. Use both, dip and shampoo every 3 days. Don't put inside ear every day, skin is too thin there.

How long does the dolution last once it's mixed. When do I need to throw it away ?

I only mix what I need for each bath and then dispose of once I've dipped everyone for the day so I'm not sure if it lasts longer or not.
